Other RPGs have this thread... we don't So time to get this instead of people posting individual threads :) Just let us know that you're going to be taking a LOA and if you're able to tell us the duration of the LOA, this will help all of us with RPs, training, and whatnot.

  6. Started by Kathleen,

Kathleen nodded her fairwell to Loraine as she turned her focus to finding her warder. The head had given her a mission, and that meant Elessar had one now as well. The green hoped the journey would not infer with any plans he had made for himself, but if he had lined too many things up which he could not get out of that was his own fault. Surely a warder of his experience knew better than to get himself tied down too tightly to a task apart from his Aes Sedai. She absently began heading toward the warder's yard, where she so often had collected her warder in the past. She was just about there when she realized the tug of the bond was pulling her in another direction.…

Please post here if you have a Leave of Absence or Leave of Limited Access (LoA or LoLA). What constitutes a LoA? If you will be gone for a week or more at a time and will have no access to DM at a time. I will post if I'll be gone for three or more days. LoLA means that you will have limited access to DM for a certain amount of time. Please also let anyone you are in an RP with know that you are gone as well.

  9. .. Lost in the Memories of Dreams .. ►▼◄ In the Darkness of the Night, as Winds of Change swept across the ancient Aes Sedai City of Tar Valon, Elessar Telcontar, Bonded Gaidin of Kandor, was lost in the Memories of Dreams .. ● Leandreen ..Memories flashed in Elessar’s mind.. Carrain Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah looked at her newly bonded Warder, feeling his pain. "You share your Leandreen's loyalties, I see." She said. His eyes met hers and his gaze intensified as he said, with emotion, ”I hate the Shadow, always have, always will. So did Leandreen. Our lives were formed around fighting the Shadow at every step, every corner. And in the end, she died fi…

  11. Edana settled into a bench by the window of the Tavern she'd been directed to, keeping her eyes on the door and the road beyond the window. The hilt of her sword dug into her rib a bit at the awkward angle of the hand made bench, but she ignored it, her fingertips tracing idle patterns on the mug of ale sitting on the table in front of her. She hadn't touched it. A few patrons of the tavern looked at her a bit oddly, but otherwise didn't say anything as they settled in for luncheon at the tavern. The smells coming from the kitchen were wonderful and they made her stomach rumble. She hadn't ordered anything, though. She didn't know if Kynwric and his Aes Sedai had …

  12. I thought this might be easier than playing tag in PM's and stuff and we'll have it for reference later, just in case we forget! :) The plan is three threads: Thread 1- Cora and Ed are sent to meet Lor and Kyn in Whitebridge for the trek to Bandar Eban to fetch a nobleman's daughter for training at the Tower. The journey over will be relatively harmless and uneventful, so this thread can be set up to explain why they're going and do a bit of training and reflection on board the ship. While Lor is meeting with noblepersons to fetch said daughter and decide if she needs to go to the Tower for training, Kyn's going to drag Ed out into the ocean to see how hard he …

  13. Started by Theodora,

Theodora Thorinden was strolling down the corridors of the White Tower, feeling the happiest woman alive. She was going to become Aes Sedai and yet she was only seventeen. But after all, there were noble people, destined to success like her and… well, others. The lady looked down with despise upon the servant with the Flame of Tar Valon embroidered on her uniform. Then Theodora remembered with pleasure how many Tower Guards looked at her in awe of her beauty when she was entering, clad in whirlwind of rich deep green silk and golden embroidery on almost every inch of the garment. The emeralds and diamonds on her neck and ears matched the gems, spread carefully on golden c…

  14. Loraine watched as the servants arranged the long table in her favorite garden and smiled approvingly. The curved backs of each chair reminded her of Carhien, all the way down to the plush green velvet cushions that graced each seat. She'd chosen a set of all white linens with embroidered flowers along the edges, light green mother-of-pearl china and flower engraved flatware. A wide white cover flared overhead, blocking the worst of the sun's hot gaze. The kitchen staff bustled in, arranging high cake plates with fresh tea biscuits, herbal scones and small pastries, as well as a pot of tea for every four settings all the way down the table. A cedar box filled with small g…

  15. Greetings all! I'm a new member to the warder's RP community and have just got my new character, Luka Talkend, CCd over at the Welcome Inn. Here it is. I've also started, his intro RP. Which is here. I've gone with perhaps not the traditional start to an intro story, but hopefully it will be memorable once it is finished. It is also an open RP to all WY characters (hopefully) and will be a good opportunity for people to fullfill some of their later raising requirements, or increase their WS ratings. (You'll probably see why shortly). Consider this my official hello and use this thread to ask any questions about me, or about the character and the current RP. ' …

  16. Started by Saphira Silvermoon,

Nateera packed her belongings and joined the Aes Sedai for the trip to Tar Valon. As they traveled, Nateera would ask questions so that she would be better prepared for what she would find in the White Tower. "Please tell me what a novice's life is like in the Tower. I do not wish to offend anyone with my ignorance of Tower life." "Your life in the Tower will not be that much different from what you are accustomed. You will be expected to do chores, uncomplainingly. You will attend classes (the main difference from your old life), such as How to wield Saidar and history. You will show proper respect for those above you. If you misbehave, you may be sent…

So I have a wonderfully messed up Red Ajah Domani who doesn't like Aes Sedai or the White Tower, and after all the effort to get her trained and raised, she's done precisely nothing since being raised to the shawl. This must be remedied ... So ... any ideas on what can be done with her?

  18. Started by Leala,

Leala hadn't taken the task of teaching novices in quite a long time. She much preferred teaching advanced classes to Accepted. But for now, she had been tasked with teaching novices about philosophy. At the point where most of them were, it was teaching them what philosophy was, and then giving them a few examples. Philosophy was such a broad subject, and she had never taught it to novices before. It was a display on just how had a topic it was to breech with some of them as she looked through some of their dissertations. One essay was particularly disappointing. One young novice took it upon herself to explain her "philosophy" on the One Power, but it was much mo…

  19. Alia smoothed out the old fabric of her first shawl as she laid it on the large oak desk at the head of the classroom. As her fingers ran along it she let the memory of receiving it rush over her. She had been so filled with pride and joy, and though it was a very long time ago she knew she was no sooner to forgetting the emotion that had consumed her in that moment. She only stayed a moment with the blue fringed shawl before she moved on to displaying the even more ancient large quarter staff on its side atop the desk. It was made from a strong wood, though it was so aged the grain was all but impossible to gage. Carvings of the old tongue covered the staff, flowing…

  21. Started by Elaevia,

Saelia looked up at The Tower. She had seen it grow from a dot on the horizon to the soaring masterpiece that she stood at the bottom of now. She could hear the bustle of the city behind her, but all her attention was focused on that one building that had occupied her thoughts since that day she had left to be Aes Sedai. Saelia had been waiting in the inn common room when the Aes Sedai who had tested her came day to break her fast and start the day's journey. She had politely waited while the woman ate, while she left the inn, while they mounted their horses, while they set out on the road. Thinking that she had waited long enough, she asked "Aes Sedai.... what wil…

  22. I think I should explain this a bit better before we get started. I'm doing this as part of Ellisha's Novice requirements, and it is considered under (Character Development). Though what is different about this is the introduction of a new ttpc that will accompany Ellisha after the conclusion of this RP. Aril Corland is another Novice, but instead of being a full character, she is a ttpc. (Played by me) I won't go into the specific reasons here, but just know Aril Corland will be part of a critical part of one of Ellisha's future RPs. This is an open RP, which means everyone is welcome to take part. Refrain from dictating Aril's answers to your questions, …

  23. And for a second time, the gigantic oaken doors to the dome shaped room that held the silvery white Ter’angreal, swung open to admit the brown haired novice with eyes of emerald green. Valeri Sedai stood beside her as the woman of now twenty-six, stared up at the shimmering shape of the three arches. With hair strands that blew rhythmically to a strange wind in the chamber, Ellisha Falwein; Novice of the White Tower, nodded towards the Mistress of Novices to begin. There was no need to repeat the instructions to her, she knew them off by heart by now and understood what was to come. “This is your last chance, child. Once more you may refuse.” Ellisha knew it was not …

  24. Started by claireducky,

Evelyn pushed her hair back out of her eyes as she took her plate to a nearby table. Chicken and barley stew with a large chunk of fresh bread and soft butter tantalized her with its aroma, and her other hand held a mug of hot and sweet tea. As she took her seat, a group of rather boisterous men entered the Kitchens. They were wearing plain white cloaks with no Sunburst, and Evelyn did not recognize any of their faces. Ah, so a new group of Recruits must have arrived today. I wonder if any of them will have what it takes to join the Hand? She turned her attention to her meal, wondering if any of the new Recruits would have the guts to approach her. It was not…

  25. Started by NeverTame,

The walk from the South Harbor to the Tower grounds and into the White Tower itself was an exercise in discipline; Aislin had considered herself a relatively well-educated and widely travelled woman for her age, but this city defied everything she had taught herself along the years of travelling with her father. She felt like a complete country bumpkin, trying to look at everything at once, eyes wide with wonder. It took every ounce of discipline in her body to not stop and stare; Amelia Sedai would not appreciate such silliness. So Aislin trailed after the Aes Sedai, trying to emulate her stance and expression to the best of her abilities. She managed the former, to some…

Wheeeee! (Updated) Band bio has been approved! Hi! I'm Cass It's been about 7+ years since I RP'd with the Band (after originally joining in around 1998 ) buuuut I'm finally back now and definitely ready to roll! Who's active around here now? What's happening with the Band? Anyone keen to get something going with a short and feisty ex Altaran street-rat? Her bio is here if anybody's curious... warning though, she may have made her way to Infantry Captain, but she definitely does still bite!

  27. Started by Sherper,

The oil in the lamps burned low and the tiny white room that had been her quarters for the past eight years held an oppressive air tonight. Ellisha Falwein dipped her feather quilted pen into the ink bottle and paused, as it hovered over the blank piece of parchment set out in front on her writing desk. How was she going to do this? Dear Father, she began then stopped, again contemplating on how she was going to approach doing this. There was so much she wanted to put down on paper – yet at the same time – so much she wanted left unspoken. Much has happened to me here in the Tower since I last wrote to you. That had been what.. Six months ago? Indeed much has …

  28. Started by Te'Oran,

Haral Orahn stepped into the common room of the inn he had chosen at random upon entering the city of Caemlyn. He was worn and weary from his travels throughout the region and was definitely not in a jovial mood. With an exasperated sigh he threw himself onto a random wooden stool by a round table of the same make and ordered a drink from one of the serving maids, tossing a small silver coin towards her. She caught the coin and with a wink and a giggle, bowed slightly and set off towards the kitchen. Watching her disappear into the back Haral threw his legs out under the table and leaned back in the chair, beginning to nod off into a daze . . . After a short while h…

"Do you realize how much of a risk this is to me? If they suspect..." "Be calm, Lord Captain. I have taken pains to make sure that your true allegiance is not suspected." Sitting in the Lord Captain's chair and smiling above his peaked fingers, Ayrik Drayven waved the white-clad man towards a chair on the opposite side of the desk. The man glared at him for a moment before he remembered himself and sat. Even without expression on his face, Ayrik could feel the cold anger radiating from the man. "What is this about, Dreadlord?" the man asked. "Oh, it's simply a matter of doing your job. I need you to track down a man." The Lord Captain snorted. "You …
