God, it's been forever since I've been here. I'd just like to formally say that I'm on a DM sabbatical until probably summer. I'm just crazy busy now and I don't see any stop until summer (at least).

Despite the casual subject line, I'm here with a question! Among all of the sisters 'visiting' the Black Tower at the moment, do any of them have the create ter'angreal talent? Or happen to have studied ter'angreal to some degree. It may be birds and fishes and all, but Arath (and his create talent) could use a little help with some of his projects, preferably from someone with a little more experience in the matter. If nobody has, thats okay too. Serena gets to be his guinea pig for ter'angreal testing :D

I am taking a page out of Matalina's books and opening up a thread to encourage some feedback as to how people are finding the White Tower and navigating through and around it. As quoted: Now is your chance to tell us what is wrong or right with the division and let us know how you think it could be improved. This is not going to be a discussion about each concern, and I or the staff may not address them this go around, but I'd like to know where you all stand with the division as a whole, how your training is going, what could be improved in the division, with your requirements etc. Things that are under consideration (or will be)…

The carriage rolled through the gates of Tar Valon having just past the bridge he jumped down off the back as it slowed to a stop out front of a modest but respectable inn seemingly populated by merchants from all corners of the land. His aunt had paid the driver before hand and gave him a small purse with 10 silver pieces and a note. He walked off down the streets of this strange new city. The driver called out goodbye but as Via didn't turn he just shrugged and grumbled about strange folk and let him be. Via walked down the strange road and read his aunt's small curving writing as he walked dodging carts, horses, carriages and people as they came closer out of unco…

Well, I just got done reading all the necessary information and writing my biography (sending it off to be reviewed and cross-checked) so I thought it might be nice to post a little greeting here to the good people of the division. I'm looking forward to role-playing with everyone and hanging out here from time to time (assuming my crazy life doesn't get away from me as it often has the habit of doing) so, please keep an eye out for me and ... well... Hello Everyone! ;D

Someday you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova in the sky Turnings Time was ticking by rapidly. She had not paid heed to it, nor to the way it had speedily taken charge on her body and mind. On later days of reflection, Tirzah decided that perhaps this was not so uncommon; the concept of day and night often became irrelevant when you were having fun. And of course, time held an influence on people far greater than the small pleasures of infatuation, or the bitterness that comes with loss. It was only as her time drew to her close that she recognised the change that had bloomed in each and every person she knew well, or d…

  9. Welcome to the Three Fold Land, Ladies and Gentlemen, I bid you welcome. I am Ghaul, clan chief of the Dragonmount Aiel, and also Division Leader of the Aiel Div. In this post I will try to explain to the best of my ability how our division functions. Now, first to explain the Aiel structure. At the top of the Aiel heirarchy you'll find the division leader. It is his job to make sure that the divison runs smoothly. Also it is his job to negotiate the other DLs the interdivisional RPs. Since we're a small division, the DL is also bio checker, though that might change of the Division grows. Another of the DL's duties is the assigning of weapon score and one power s…

Altara’s flag is two golden leopards, one above the other on a field checked four-by-four in red and blue: red is next to the staff on the topmost row. Other symbols include the Throne of the Winds upon which the ruler of Altara sits. Robert Jordan is known for borrowing from the real life cultures and mixing them into a new blend. Altara is thought by many to be based on the Mediterranian cultures and has similar maritime ambience than Renaissance Italy city states. Altara is also as divided as Italy and its people don't have a very strong national identity. Location Southern corner of Randland To the North is Ghealdan, Andor and Murandy To the East…

  11. Forge needed a place to get away, and the Grove was the only place he could think of. He and the other Stonemasons had finally finished their work, but it had been like walking naked through a briar patch. The other times he’d visited Tar Valon it had been to do something or other for the Aes Sedai and had always gone smoothly, but this time a wealthy innkeeper was looking to expand his business and wanted to advertise that Ogier had built the premises. Of course, in the end he hadn’t wanted to pay their rates, so the last several days were exercises in frustration. The situation had resolved itself late this afternoon when Forge calmly asked good master Aydare if he…

Sullynn eyed the little boy that was shouting in search of someone. Normally, Sullynn wouldn't care less about wetlanders, but a boy left unattended by his mother was unfortunate. "Are you looking for you mother, little boy? Come now, I'll help." Sullynn tried to grab the boy's hand, but he quickly pulled away. He kicked her knee and ran off. Sullynn cursed. She should have followed her first instinct and just ignored the boy. His faulty manners were an indication of a bad education. No doubt h…

The same rules go as for the first thread ( which can me found here - http://forums.dragonmount.com/index.php/topic,24893.msg635981.html#msg635981 ). Thank you in advance The Aiel have replaced the code of passive acceptance with a complex code of honor and obligation called ji e toh. By this code there are many paths to honor, each with its own measure and price, and each facet of life has its own paths. In battle, for example, the smallest honor is that gained by killing, for anyone can kill, while the greatest is to touch an armed living enemy without causing harm. To take an e…

All tasks mentioned here are to be done OOC, by E-mail or instant messangers between the Aiel initiate and me, Ghaul( my contact are listed in the Aiel Information - Contacts List thread ), unless it says otherwise in the task and shall take place before the RPer joins any RPs. I personally suggest doing these at the stage in whcih you'll prepare your bio. Thank you in advance. Okay, we have a start of a thread, and a whole Seanchan to sort out. I posted on the FL Staff about this from the SC point of view, however with the Throne of the Winds coming up we need to buckle down and start creating havoc. Now I know that Mrija is coming back, but I'm not sure how quickly she is in wanting to jump into RPing with Graendal. (Although one of us should sometime really soon.) The chamber of shaped stone brought no warmth to her naked form, but that is not why she shivered. The seven Aes Sedai around her observed her body, but that is not why she hugged herself. The ritualistic words were heavy, but that is not why she found it so hard to speak. The shadows pushed down upon her bearing the weight of ages, and in that place where fear knew no limits, it was that which consumed her. She knew this to be a place of testing, that this was where her right to be called Aes Sedai would be determined. But her fear was not born from respect for the ancient tradition, only knowledge of her weaknesses; the limits of her endurance and of her ability. …

Burn her but it disorientated her. Never before had she encountered the chamber. Stone walls on four sides, polished until they gleamed with light. In the centre, an object, of such a perfect oval that she never could draw, so tall and narrow, its side panels rounded out as her eye traced its length. There was no support, just a ring standing upright, defying the natural laws. Whether the glow was lamplight or the domed ceiling she did not know, though she suspected it might have emanated from the object itself; the oval flickered in flashes too rapidly for the mind to register. Never before had she laid eyes on the testing chamber, so why would she feel that she had…

The difference between a sulk and a mope is that a sulk listlessly nurses some petty resentment, a mope does not. A mope does not even bother to justify its actions only perform them in that terribly proficient manner. Rory was caught up in a mope. It may have been a sulk several days ago, but that was then, this was now and things had changed. She had been drinking a lot of water, it was difficult to maintain a steady cry if your body runs out of moisture. Food was not so important. What happened, where had she gone wrong, did she do something to offend Lillian, should she have? Saline was gone, Lillian was gone. The only familiarity around which her life revolved …

The reds and golds of the autumn leaves stood in brilliant defiance of the overcast sky. Breaks in the glorious canopy above her head let the light drizzle send tiny droplets running down her face. Through the haze of rain, the woods took on an ethereal quality, calming despite the physical annoyance of the rain. With each step down the muddy lane, dead deciduous leaves crunched underfoot; the forest was mainly coniferous, but the Western edge was swampy and unfit for pines. Her destination lay further in, near the divide between pine and wetland forest. Wet branches slapped against her face, another unnecessary reminder of the rain that brought out the pungent s…

After continuing replacement of players on the Chosen the system has been descided to put aside. It will be a fluent transgression, no player will be removed from their character as long as they do the job needed. However when a player resign from now on they wont be replaced by a new player, but by a group of 2-3 asigned writers. This will make it easier to keep track on the chosen and maintain a fluid story, less hard to find someone to do the jobb when it needs done, and doable as such without steping on any toes. For chosen with writers another system will work, if you have an idea for a RP with such a chosen, you send said plan directly to shadowhall@gmail.…

You could almost call him seasoned, the way he strutted. And indeed, he was strutting. Back straight, chin up, small smile lingering on lips, Nerome Seshir now knew that travel made people adapt and change themselves no matter what the circumstances were. Already, he had adopted slight facial hair that fuzzed around his chin, going nicely with the dark hair that paid his careful coming little heed, suiting the dangerous, daunting look of a well traversed traveller, making pretty lasses smile as he thought playfully, ‘Ladies, I’m taken’. Somehow, the thought of Rossa quietened his animated mood down, making him tighten his grip on Ayende’s reins as they rode together. It h…

Some habits were hard to shake off and most of her Trainee habits Sahra still regarded useful. One of them was waking up early and going through her muscle training and do some basic swordplay solo. Sometimes she snagged a partner as the forms needed to be practiced with another. But to engrave the movements to her muscle memory, they had to be repeated thousands of time, and grinded and polished until she could do them perfectly. She and Sana had had their first quarrel as a couple over it actually. She had been determined that he should wake up with her in the mornings and they should train together just like before. The bad thing was that he had had a free day the day …

It never was used due to RL issues and Russ protesting but this is such a cool RP that we should try to do it now :) Russ' protest The biggest problem seems to me to be getting to T'A'R and staying there for long enough time to see some visions. I think that the Gray Ajah could have a recipe for how to produce this kind of a herbal concotion that allows them to enter T'A'R for short duration. He was gloating, of course, about insults, a whole bally stone-carved notepad of them at his disposal, too. Several freedays of enhancing his vocabulary, and soon he'll be sledging like his verbose, witty companions. He had stumbled upon just the spot to do it, a rather obvious one, akin to his pride. The single greatest advantage to lounging near the entrance of the initiate barracks had to be soaking in the cultures, as there were future Gaidins and Gaidars that congregated from this world south of the Spine…

Where two or more gathered, eventually rumors and stories would surface. It was human nature, a part of life that was a surety even in this age. Some stories were just that. Stories made to entertain or divert attention, others were sprinkled with information that held value to one person or another. It was this sprinkling that had first caught the attention of the form that stood in the shadow of one of the few buildings with a direct line of sight on the Inn. It had started as a rumor barely spoken, a hushed message passed from one ear to another. But in the end the grim news had indeed been proven true and first hand observation only served to heat the blood further. T…
