Sahra Covenry was the happiest woman in the world when she emerged from the office of the the Mistress of Trainees. She wanted to throw somersaults and dance happily but somehow it didn't feel appropriate now when she was almost a Tower Guard. A dream she had been pursuing for the last 4 years was finally at hand's reach. First a year of waiting to be old enough when no one had believed in her. Then finally joining and getting Sana for her mentor. The first year had been adjusting to the rigorous training and toning their relationship to simply friendship. But there had always been something more, even during the year she had been with Fior. A year that she didn't really …

The day was barely begun when Aramina stepped out onto the Battle grounds. Her hair was pulled back tightly in a tight braid, held by a dark green strip of leather which matched her clothes. Tight black pants and a dark green tunic were her choice of clothes for the day with black boots that were well worn in. She was a familiar face in the Warder's training yards and preferred to work her sword there daily. She found it helped clear her mind and if she let it, would help her get a feel for the people that chose to guard her Sisters. Today she was in a different field though, one that she herself had come when she had been newly raised to the Shawl. Unknown to anyon…

Basically the idea is to think up cool and humorous titles for your characters that describe them well. Here are few that me and Andrea came up with: Annais: Mistress Wanton (although I protest this :P 10 men and women over 110 years is not bad at all even if it is more than Shaneevae's body count) Maegan: Little Red Priding Hood and Miss Artificial Intellegence

Arcon stood, stripped to the waste in the garden of the Fortress. Saidin filled him completely. Sweat beaded on his brow, but still he wove. A tight ball of air, with strands of fire mixing with the first layer of air, and coating the rest. With this done, he whipped his arm, throwing a simple fireball. Or so it seemed. With a thought, he caused the inner weave of air to expand. The result was almost impressive, but far from the desired effect. The fireball simply expanded, instead of exploding. "Blood and Bloody ashes!" All Arcon could do was stomp his bootless foot for the tenth time. The temporary anger gone, forgotten in the Void. He wrapped a glass of water in …

Thanks to some very hard work from many people, and allot of great writing, the Freelanders are proud to announce that two major RP storylines are finished. As of last today the Laman and Laurel Crown storylines have now finished. The Seanchan have begun their assault upon the Westlands by taking Tarabon with little resistance. Cairhien has settled into an uneasy peace, and the Legion of Dragon has been formed. The world waits for the Last Battle.

The world was no longer stable. It was the first thought that came to mind as she walked through the White Tower. Her hand came up to her neck, not quite touching at the place the collar had been until last night when Annais Sedai had been able to take it off of her. She took a deep breath the quell her uneasiness. Nothing was right. She had expected to find the Mother when she came home, had been prepared to tell her everything that she could, only to find her missing. Annais, a one time friend from childhood, had been the one to take the collar off her. The Gray sister had informed her about the going-ons in Cairhein and she had been informed that her Grand niece …

Agony was the way he would have described his lucid moments, if Aran had been disposed to describe them. Instead he simply experienced it in the moment as he laid in the back of the wagon, a cloak resting over his form and keeping him warm. Yet there was something different this time as his view of the backs of Raina and the boy were joined by another sight, one caused a ripple of relief to pass through his aches and pains. The White Tower, he could not see the walls but he could see the Tower. It meant that their journey was nearing its end, as was the torment that had been with him since he had left Cairhien. Enjoying the sight of the Tower rolling closer, or …

Dull, silver light illuminated the ancient wood, contorted and swollen with age. Talon stood amidst the rotten crates, the endless dripping of water echoing; rebounding. The air was heavy with decay, but even decades of disuse could disguise the stench of fear. She had chosen to run, like all the others, believing themselves capable of fooling the hunter, and now they were dead. Soon Tessa would follow. Aventari had fallen. The guild had failed him, the cowardly remnants of his legacy; his own brother! None had sought the vengeance rightfully owed. The hierarchy of the rogues was in turmoil, many trying their luck in a bid to flee the city. Talon had stopped them a…

Singing a small catch of song that she had stuck in her head Adanna buisly swept the floor of her small Novice room. She actually enjoyed the simple task of sweeping a floor, Light knows she never swept one back home. The momentary thought of Chachin and her mother and father brought a feeling of utter sadness to her. She quickly pushed the feeling down inside, she would not cry over being home sick, she wouldn't! She noticed that she had been sweeping the same patch of floor for the last ten minutes and that she had already swept clean the entire floor. With a start she set her broom up and sat on the bad and allowed herself to think of home.

Drak had been making good progress. His balance had been bettered by months of rolling ocean; his body had become harder and stronger and the sword at his hip was now less of an ornament and more of a weapon. All was as it should have been and now was the time, Captain Redpath decided, to begin the advanced weapons forms. Again Bobby stood at the prow watching the keel cut through the cold fog of morning and break the surf. Again Drak approached, and again he was handed the single-edged curved sword of his choosing. The scene had repeated itself hundreds of times with no variation and today would be no exception. It was a well known fact that no one aboard The…

The Amyrlin's personal quarters weren't that much better than those of the ordinary Sisters, they were just much more spaceous and decorated more grandeously with marble floors and walls. The Amyrlin had only three rooms like any Sister, a sitting room, study and bed room but in addition there were bed rooms for a Warder and a personal servant - or another Gaidin if the Amyrlin was Green. But Annais Nevell had no need for the Warder's room as she had never been Bonded and her maid resided with the other servants as Odelia wanted to be where the gossip flew more freely. She checked the rooms for dozenth time and tried to see them with an eye of an outsider. She knew t…

At the spacious and august office at the middle height of the White Tower, the supposedly most important woman in the world sat behind her desk and cursed profusely. Annais rubbed her aching right wrist and tried if rolling it would help to the cramp caused by writing so many letters. Blood and bloody ashes but ink would soon pour out of her nose and ears and the pile of missives left to respond didn't seem to grow much smaller. She had just decided to to keep a break and go for a smoke when a knock sounded from the door. Annais rushed back to the table and slipped the cigar back to the finely inlaid wooden box on her table like a child caught stealing cookies. It was so …

In order to encourage growth in the group by getting people creating new characters we're going to make use of an Advanced Standing policy. Essentially it means that, if you have a character in another Division, and you wish to make a Freelander character, you may start your new character at a similar rank and WS as the character from the other Division. Write up a bio, include references for the rank and WS claim, and we'll go from there. So if you've earned a WS 13 character over in the Warders, and think playing a Deathwatch Guard might be fun? Guess what? Send us a bio and reference the earned WS and you may be eligible to receive up to the earned WS So get those…

Throughout the night and until the early hours, men and women within the Council of Nine's palace prepared themselves for the break of dawn. They had what could be their last meals, they took what last moments of sleep they could, they mourned those who had fallen because they might not have the chance when the morning came. There was a certain measure of fear for what the morning would bring, how many of them would survive and if they would win the day against one of the Forsaken, but the leaders of the diverse groups within kept the spirits of their men high. If they had any private doubts amongst them, they remained exactly that, private. The early hours of the…

Drak awoke to the feel of a soft naked body lying next to him and a murmur of “Mmm…” The night before had been quite an adventure, especially after his companion realized it was a bad idea to try to kill him. She certainly knew what she was doing with the pleasurable arts, and he had enjoyed his night much more than he would have expected before entering the hell last night. But now, playtime was over and he had to get back on the road. Pushing the leg that was draped over his torso off of him, he rose naked from the bed and began to make ready. He wanted a bath before he left. He wouldn’t enjoy the luxuries of civilization again for a while, and he wanted a las…

Oh the advantages of the Shadow! So very far a distance, traveled in a heartbeat, and the brief ride from the Tairen country side to it's capital was a short one. It reminded Arcon a bit of his youth, on those rare occurrences that his father taught him anything but plotting. Except, his father had obviously kept different company. That thought required him to suppress a smile, looking at the men who had come with him. All were from that rather satisfying stay in the Pit, and even though one or two actually ranked above him, they took his advice for orders. That advice had kept them alive. They rode through the bustling city of Tear, their horses catching some eyes …

I still need an RP Coordinator. I have an advisory position I'd like to open up. I need an active staff other than myself and Eqwina. If you think you have what it takes to keep the Warder's Bigger picture in mind versus a single minded character thinking please apply. Please send me "Why I would be a good advisor?" And "What would I do IF I had control of the Warders?" Please send both questions along with your DM Handle and your Warder Character name to warders.staff@gmail.com Thank you. Mat

Golden bees. Nine golden bees on a field of green were the founding of the nation she now held at her fingertips. One last smile touched her lips briefly as she looked over her shoulder in adieu. Sofia Stepaneos breezed into the halls of the Royal Palace, and paused. A large ornamental mirror was hanging, with fine, gilded borders. She turned, so that she was face to face with her reflection. She considered it, contempt swelling up inside her as she eyed the sunny smile still present. At one moment, she was the prized successor of Illian’s last King, of blood running in her veins that declared her Princess. A rush of air, and she was holding Saidar. Her smile broadened as…

Celestine was trying her best to watch where she stepped in the street to avoid bumping into anyone at the same time she tried admiring all the fanciful buildings around her. The White Tower gleamed brightly in the sun, the most tall and beautiful structure she had ever seen and larger than she had ever imagined anything could be, even after all the stories she read. And the people of Tar Valon! They seemed to be from all over the world. Celestine found herself stopping and staring at all the different people--men with beards but a bare upper lip was dark tanned skin, and another man who was so dark Celestine was reminded of a sweet chocolate, and a woman wearing suc…

Ooc: Post on the last thread so I can report it complete. Then we can start tackling this one. :) She slept well that night, and found herself waking up early and in quite a good mood. Although rare, she reveled in it. Picking herself out of bed, folding the sheets, showering, dressing, she headed into the Mess Hall for a good strong cup of Tea. Two, three bags extra in the largest porcelains mug that she could find, her day felt very lucky. It felt lucky, but she knew better. The day would be far from uneventful, and she knew why. Vera was to meet her in the yard, hopefully dressed accordingly, to continue her training for the day. Taking one last sip of her t…

The autumn leaves carried no scent, and yet the smell of wet foliage clung to the cool air. There was no wind and yet the breeze caressed his skin with an embrace of leaves. Like all things they were dying. As his rough fingers rubbed the leaves between them he breathed deep of their decay, their dying breath. The leaves vanished like smoke. Tel Aran Rhiod, the world of dreams, had its advantages, even if they existed solely within the mind. The assassin padded softly, he would make no sound to defile the natural shrine of misery: the perfect scene of life’s end that he laboured so hard to recreate in his victims. His passage stirred not a leaf, displaced not a twig…
