  2. Started by Nynaeve,

Nynaeve rolled her eyes. She's been doing that quite a bit ever since they left Tar Valon. They were riding at a slow pace, Damian at the front. Ever since they've entered a forest, he's been eyeing every tree like it owed him something. Quickening the pace of her mount, Nynaeve caught up with Damian and rode by his side. "I told you to stay behind, Nynaeve, while I scan the surroundings. It is for your own safety so do not even try to make this into an argument." Nynaeve stopped herself from rolling her eyes again. Her face suddenly lit up as idea surfaced. "What if someone comes at us from behind. I'll be completely exposed to an attack. At least if someone comes a…

Celes was asking in the public board what is up with this. The basic idea is just form some kind of connection between the Amyrlin and Sitters, ie. get your initial reactions to Annais. Also if even one of you decides to ICly NOT stand right away, she needs to wash feet ;) Does someone want to play that role? Will your character stand right away or not? And if they will not stand, why? *grins* Is it just spite and showing the Amyrlin that Sitters will not be lapdogs or is there another motive? In the end everyone obviously need to stand, though.

Well now that I've got Arcon out of cryostasis, lets get the ball rolling. :) The first module I'd like to complete is One Power Basics, so he can tie off weaves and the like, might be useful down the road. Oh, and while I'm here, any new dreads out there willing to be Arcon's rival? He is a rather feisty one and it just makes sense. ;)

Zoe left the Fortress early in the morning. All the training was delayed to the afternoon on account of a big execution that was taking place. A group of Darkfriends were apprehended the day before within Amador itself. After a thorough interrogation, it was discovered that the party has been responsible for many unsolved murders within the city and so it has been decided to make the execution a public one, to deter such future behavior. Even though it was encouraged for all Children to be present, Zoe decided to slip away to the city. While she agreed with the punishment, she didn't feel any urge to witness their demise. She did not take joy in watching a person die…

The day was beginning to turn and Aramina was still trying to catch her prey. Oh, she'd plenty of reasons why this one had evaded her so far, but it didn't make an difference as she continued tracking. Dead bodies, charred and blacked as they lay, had been most of her trail so far. A mad male chaneller she had been told was haunting the area. She should stay at the Inn and wait until she could hire a good guard to take her back home. All the sort of things that she had been told because her face still lacked the agelessness of an Aes Sedai. Of course in these back hills areas, even the agelessness might not have been recognized and she had hid away her serpent ring …

The boy was often the bane of her training and she had yet figured out a way to break into him and inspire focus. She suspected that it would take a more drastic event to change the boy, but for now she relaxed a little as she led her newest charge forward. "To put a sword into your hands,…

Pain was all that seemed to filter through as she was moved into the wagon. She knew it was a wagon because she had been told before that it would be, but focusing her vision seemed to be too much for her. She wanted to lash out at her captors, but the necklace around her neck made it impossible. In fact, the thought of hitting anyone made her violently ill, much to the dislike of the Darkfriends carrying her. One dropped her arm and as she fell to the floor, kicked her viciously. The other scooped her back up, being aware of his mistress's gaze, and continued on. She was placed in the bottom of the wagon and as the movement stopped, so the pain subsided enough that…

(The clash of steel... my life has been full of it.) Arturus thought as he banged the sticky contents of a pot he was cleaning out with a spoon. Not the glorious training of a warrior he thought it would be. He had been serving Mistress Thera as a punishment for fighting with other students. He had been doing so for a week now, using his short breaks to complete minor chores to catch up on what must have been a few months neglect on her quarters and office. He thought he was doing well... in fact he was sure he was. But even so Thera would order him to do some chore that he had already planned on doing. She sounded desperate when she did it and he never did understand wh…

There were’t many students that could say that they were mentored by Rosheen. Not that she was all that selective when it came to training youngsters, but it was just rare that she spent enough time in the yards to give her apprentices a proper training. Nerome had done well despite her many absences, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t going to try harder with Dovean. She would be there for the girl, as long and as often as her presence as needed. Fortunately, Dovean was a speedy and dedicated learner. So much even that Rosheen wondered if the girl shouldn’t lighten up a little every now and then. She understood the focus that some trainees required, but some of them t…

  16. Owen had arranged to meet Zierna, a new Wanderer, at his house, an hour before, and was patiently sitting on the balcony of his tree house rewrapping the leather bindings on his sword hilt, when he was hailed from below. Getting up from his chair, Owen leaned over the balcony and shouted down to Zierna to come on up. The climb up to his house was not difficult, but could be unnerving seeing as his house was built in one of the tallest, and largest, trees in the forest. Eventually Zierna reached the balcony and Owen invited her to sit down in the chair opposite him and Owen poured her a mug of tea and refreshed his own, after putting his sword down. “Now before we begin I …

  17. The cool morning air blew through Miryana’s long red hair as she busied herself about the clearing awaiting her charges. Today she would take several young Wolfkin into the mountains and teach them about what life was like for a Sage. They would be away from the Stedding for several days and she had told those interested to pack accordingly. It had been several weeks since she had hung the announcement outside the infirmary informing those interested of the trip. The response had been more eager than she had anticipated. Most young Wolfkin chose the excitement and glory of the Rangers or Trackers and fewer and fewer had shown interest in the Sages. It made he…

But when the post is done, it moves on to that other sister (IE: Aramina goes to leave her room and passes by Jaydena. Jaydena would post next about going to visit Kaylan. She would then post about seeing something scandalous done my Oriella... etc etc etc.) Until each member got a chance to add a post…

  25. Jodeen stepped through the gates for what seemed to be a thousandth time. He crossed the courtyard to where the green fields outlying around the Fortress lay. No one was there, yet, obviously. He arranged several things around where his class would be, and huddled himself and waited for the students to come. In a period of ten minutes every student had arrived. It was his first class that he would teach, and not his last. He remembered when Ayrik had taught him it, and began trying to replay the events inside his head. Maybe a student here would break out of control like he did, sitting here as a pupil a few years ago. He hoped not, though. They gathered round, …

She was clever. So very clever. In fact, if she could she would pat herself on the back and treat herself to all the pastries in the Inn's kitchen. However after the last time she got caught, Korrena felt reluctant to tackle the Inn until their guard was down and the y were not watching out for her. That woman and her big wooden stick was very scary. Very scary indeed. However, her brilliance was more than enough to make up for the lack of sweets, and she sufficed with an inadequate pat on her own head before she ran out of the small house that she shared with the Tracker, her sisters and the other women. She could barely contain her giggles as she clutched tightly to the…

The woods were somehow darker than she remembered. In a way it was as if the event had sent her back in history, to a time before her howling happened, and before she had learned to control her senses. Sohvi stumbled for the fourth time, landing on her knees again. The pants she was wearing would need knee-patches or they would be useless. Oddly trivial thoughts, but they were comforting. She used a tree to pull herself up from the ground, and kept on moving. As she walked she thought of little things, like the herbs she was going to have to plant next week, and the stew she could make from one of the rabbits she and John... A choked sob seemed to echo through the o…

Raylin had been traveling hard for a while now, making her way Southwest to a remote corner of Andor, following rumor and more for what seemed like months. Finally she arrived in the town of Baerlan and there she found the info she was looking for. A recruiter for the Band of the Red Hand heard her asking questions in the common room of the inn she was staying in and pulled her aside. After satisfying himself she was serious in her intentions, he gave some very specific direction to Raylin, and she headed South the next morning. Several days later found Raylin rounding the outskirts of a small villae the recruiter had called Emond's Field, and heading towards the mou…

Quibby Posted: Wed May 23, 2007 Within the vast web of the Wheel lies one almost insignificant speck, an orb of blue and green and brown circling the sun. If one were to look closer at one of the green masses, one would see the source of the green: grass gently swishing in the breeze, trees rocking to and fro, their leaves rustling. One would also begin to see roads winding through the green. Near the center of one of these green masses on a road therein... "...they'd find me, a dumb kid on a horse in the middle of nowhere."
