Jeffery Kincaid hadn't wanted to take along time lingering with his mother and her new family. He loved them all dearly but he didn't want to get attached to them too closely, he knew he had to go and the sooner the better, it was the last thing in the world he needed was to hurt his mother or the twins. He was thankful that Demus had come with him. It was a little awkward at first, he was after all his mother's lover and what appeared to be her best friend. He was happy for his mother, she looked happy in a weird sort of way but then she was always not happy too. Too many things troubled her, and he thought he knew what most of it was. He wondered if there was any …

Estel Posted: Mon Jun 04, 2007 Isha looked over the gear he had packed for what must have been the tenth time that morning. Apprehension, an emotion foreign to pre-Aginor Isha but now an old friend, clouded his thoughts. This had seemed like such an excellent idea when he had presented it before Covai. Here, now, with less than an hour before they should be leaving, doubts plagued Isha’s mind. Ged occupied little of the giant’s thoughts. He knew the boy vaguely, a former friend of his mentee, Noy. Whatever had happened there remained unknown to Isha as he had been rather preoccupied with recovering from his injuries. Linten, on the other hand, caused a w…

I've been hit with a touch of Shakespeare ;) and have an inquiry. My to-be-Aes Sedai Salandrian Faerhind I think would make an interesting lover of a Darkfriend. I'd like Salandrian to fall in love (true love, not some superficial stuff) with a Darkfriend (or Dreadlord possibly) then when she realizes what he is, she's faced with an awful decision. I think it would be a super interesting character development and a neat RP opportunity. Sound interesting? Either reply to this or send me a PM and I'd love to talk about it. Keep in mind, Salandrian won't be a full Aes Sedai until at least November...

Please congratulate Jocelyn who has been stewarding the BT while the previous DL was LOA. She has done awesome job and will continue to kick ass. And love, don't forget the most important rule of all. To keep things running smoothly, you need to keep me happy ;) All kind of favours are received starting from chocolate and foot massages. Covai, cheers for looking after the BT during Dali's time and while you were DL. You did well, mate. Now you can focus fully back on your vile ways with sheep ;)

Whilst it pains me to say so, I no longer have the time or energy to devote to DM. Therefore I am stepping down and handing control of the Black Tower over to Jocelyn. Yes, I'm aware giving her power is dangerous, but thats half the fun :P Jokes aside though, I'm in my final few months of University and works picking up as well. I barely have time to check the boards, let alone post anything meaningful. I'll probably stick my head back in around December time, but don't quote me on that. You may be able to catch me on MSN or be email if you need me, so those of you who have my details can still keep in touch if needed. Sorry to be leaving you all, but Jocelyn is…

Well my fellow DM'rs, for those of you who don't know my wife and I were married 7 months ago and have been living with her parents for the last few months. As any of you know who have done so, there comes a time when it is simply time to leave. My wife and I are moving out tomorrow and into an apartment some 1/2 hour or so away and will not have internet access. :'( We will be coming over every week or so to visit, have sunday dinner etc. and I am hoping to be able to get on then. So long story short...er, well...sorta. I will only be on about once a week instead of my addicted once a day. So if you don't hear from me for a while it's ok. I'm still here. ;) *Tugs at ch…

we all know the word asociation games and whatnot...post based on the last posters post this is slightly different...to rarily we tell the people who mean something for us that they actualy have an impact on our life i read a card once who said it so nicely "friends is the family you choose yourself" we all have our frustrations up and down in life and can need a path on the back or a hug from time to time which is what got me on the idea of this tread, cause maybe a tread like this can create more fellowship as well. The basic gist of the tread is, say something positive about the person who posted before you, wheter it be a good memory you share…

  12. Time had never seemed to crawl by more slowly for the red-headed trainee sweating through her forms. A while ago Sana, her mentor, had told her to keep practicing on her own as he would go to the Tower to meet some Aes Sedai who had a mission for them. This would be the last thing Sahra needed to do before she could be considered for raising to the rank of Tower Guard and she was positively bristling as she waited for him to bring the word back. It was impossible to focus properly on excercising even though she tried her best. Still, she was thankful that Sana had let her out of the cotton wool after the incident with the horrible man who had her sister somewhere. It wasn…

Dismounting, Lillian smiled at the stable boy who ran over to take his horse. The thanks she gave him seemed to put some bounce in his step as he led her horse away, sometimes it was the smallest things that made a difference. Walking across the courtyard to the main steps, Lillian made her way up them and into the Palace proper, greeted by a member of the Royal family as she stepped within. It felt strange, particularly since she hadn't enjoyed (let alone sought) such eminence in the other lands she had traveled in. Yet, in the Borderlands, there was no harm in people seeing who she was. Lands where Aes Sedai were respected, mainly because these were lands where Aes…

  16. Ah but it felt good to be on her feet again. Instead of the ground jolting beneath her, she was back in control. Saline shucked the ring off, dropping it carefully into the pouch she carried at the belt. The other contents of her pouch had darkened her face when she dared not use illusions. Although she was scrubbing the dye onto her face, and the back of her neck, it seemed a metaphor for wiping away one's burdens. Well, lessened one's burdens, at least. Feeling as if somebody had taken a paddle to her hoopy-doopy, she resolved to add another saddle cloth next time. That would surely help with the cushioning. Testing the ground gingerly, she was more than relieved to wal…

Aurore was walking out of the quarters on the island. Her old Sail mistress had finally given into age, failing eyes had made her miss the coil of rope as she walked along a shadowy streach of the ship. Though they had managed to save her from the sea, she had come out with an influence, she had been cold and quite weak before they found her and Aurore had only dared do minimal healing. It hadnt been enough, she had died before the sun came up again, if but someone with greater strength and bigger skills and knowledge of healing had been there. But no, she had been given back to the sea and they had sailed the ship back. A new sailmistress where to sail the ship for the c…

  18. The sun was trying to break through the clouds as Reikan awoke from yet another cat nap in this forsaken land. As he arose to his feet the wasted grass under his feet cracked audioably against the sickly soil. If a person did not know better they might expect the land to be nothing but a desert in weeks as it slowly died. Sadly the land's fate would not be so kind, as day-by-day anything living would slowly be corrupted beyond any hope of return. In the vast distance he could see the source of this corruption. He held the gaze of that mountain only for a few seconds, but it was enough to bring back memories of conflicts that gave him the shivers. "Creator give…

  20. Forge sighed, reluctant to leave such fine food and company, the sound like a gentle breeze through bare tree limbs in winter, longing for the warmth of spring. But he had work to do, and the iron didn’t shape itself. Rising to his feet, he excused himself, making sure that Thorfinn knew where to meet him later. Perhaps young Morris would come along, as well. Regardless, the giant Ogier’s thoughts were already on the tasks ahead, even as he was picking up his travel pack and the ever-present two wicked-looking axes that were slung from its loops. As he squeezed through the too-small door to the inn, it wouldn’t do to tear the doorframe out, he slung his pack ov…

No, he certainly hadn´t deserved what he had got now, being dragged nearly through the entire city by a tope slung around his neck, pulling tight already - Light, he despised Amador more than any other place in this World! They wanted to get him used to what the hangman would have in store for him, they had said, laughing and spitting at him, without him even bothering to wipe it away. Too long already. Too long it had been that the Whitecloaks had had him, too long to make him lose the little dignity he might once have had. Dami…

For the first time, in a long time, Tirzah Behen was nervous. It had been stirring within since dawn had risen. Although the sun was well up in the baby blue blanket by now, the feelings had attached themselves to her like mother to baby, or moth to flame. It was a pain really, a bloody annoying thing that she wished she could stamp on and kill, but upon pausing for thought, she realized it wasn’t worry that was causing it, as much as excitement was. Forge was coming, would be here, soon. Tightening her grip over the creased letter, she paced the stretches of the gates. Steps away from freedom, but she would not run. Not even try, she complained silently. She had mad…

Covered in mud, scratches, leaves and lugging a wagon behind her over a great many stumps, Aleeza stumbled and swore her way through the woods to the Tracker Lounge. Needless to say, it had not been a pleasant trip. It had started out well enough. In fact, she had been almost pleased for the excuse to visit the Tracker Lodge and for the “nice walk” through the forest lugging a dozen saplings in a wagon behind her. Shouldn’t be too hard, right? Oh how very, very wrong. Now, if the Wolfkin had a proper path to the Tracker Lodge, instead of the foot track that was utilitarian enough for the almost entirely unhorsed, carry-your-possessions-on-your-back Wolfkin, …

And this isn't a definite list or anything, just trying to see what people are thinking :P So... If Wagoners were correct in their belief that good and evil were relative, then relatively, at least his interview with Master Seshir had gone well, in light of the recent developments. These include the ever daunting roommate who had reminded Ashley of a dancing bear, his movements exaggerated as he wind-milled fat, trolloc stabbing arms at the non-Shienarian, and moreover, the solicitous stranger who was trying to stay the night. It had taken an incredible amount of knocks at the door to drill through to the roommate assigned to him, Tarec was his name, appearing tough was his game. Tarec danced as if somebody had laced his trousers with itchweed when Ashley unpacked hi…

A new dawn rose over the horizon, it's light reaching the Warders Yards and a line of young people standing in the Yards, waiting for the Mistress Of Trainees. Shoar walked through the gates to the Yards, wandering to his normal spot to commence his daily training. He noted the younglings and allowed himself a smile, remembering his first day in the Yards, the nervousness, then stealing away in a boat because he heard Radzynne Gaidin had left... The beginning of it all. "I'm really depressing." he mused to himself, the smile turning into a grin. His grin froze on his face as he overheard a voice saying "Being a Gaidin is a waste of time. Why is it that they always stop me whenever I'm on an errand? Janine thought to herself as she turned to face whoever it was that had called her name. From the sound of it, she was probably about to be blamed for something that she hadn't done. It'd been a long time since Janine had been punished for talking back, drinking, or any of her other activities; learning discretion had seen to that. Nonetheless, she knew that this was not going to be pleasant. When it involved the Mistress of Novices, it was never pleasant. "If you'll pardon me saying so, Mistress, I am running an errand for Sibyan Sedai, and she-" "That doesn't matter, child. You've other business to atten…
