  5. Started by Arette,

It had taken more than a painstaking hour and many rounds of washing the feet of the Sitters before they all had stood. Annais had almost despaired after the third time and been certain that she and the Grays would be exiled. But she had continued stonily wondering what the motives of the woman remaining Sitting were. Some likely had wanted to humble her but unlike for example Sirayn, she would not hold grudges over such things. They were just signals that better trust was needed to establish and the Sitters were hard enough to work with even without such emotional baggages. Adrai and Raeyn came together to lead her where the high-backed chair stood, heavy and ornate…

Taking a to'raken from the capitol to the main military port was a short flight, but to Muaghde it seemed like an eternity. He had just finished with his second ever audience with the Emperor, may he live forever in the Light. Not only was command of the Return given to him, but so was the duty of protecting his daughter. But it wasn't just any of the Emperor's children, but his heir, the Daughter of the Nine Moons. That, with his recent adoption into the Blood was more honor than he could handle in such a short time. With such great honor came great responsibility. He was being trusted with the Empire. If he failed, there would be no court martial, there would be no bani…

Shaking himself as he stepped out of the cold water, the first thing that Anton reached for was a towel. Light help him, hygiene was all well and good but some days you had to wonder whether the Creator really intended for man to bathe regularly when every water source was more frigid than an Aes Sedai. Well, that thought was slightly unfair, but there it was nevertheless roaming through Anton's mind as he dried himself as quickly as he could as the dawn of the day broke the horizon. Sooner he was dry, sooner he could put some clothes on and the sooner he could put some clothes on, the sooner he could get away from the creek where the wind cut across the water with a p…

"Here we are." It was much like those scenes that one found described in a Gleeman's tale. The heroes, cresting the road after a hard day's travel finding the settlement they sought nestled in the middle of a lush valley. Savand was the home of House Palanda, their fort sitting in the midst of a village that had grown around it for generations. House Palanda as far as families went had an interesting history. Known to be highly independent in their own right, even for Altarans, the position of their land had much to do with it. Possessing a commanding position on the trade route between Altara and Murandy, it had given House Palanda a certain degree of clout…

So, you’ve made a character and you’ve been given a weapon score… Whats a weapon score and how do I get some? What is Weapon Score? In the roleplay, there is a good deal of combat to be had. Everything from drunken brawls to full scale battles can occur, and all the characters all possess varying degrees of skill. While a small group of players who all know each other could figure out where their characters stand in relation to each other, with the sheer amount of players and characters in the roleplay we have we need a system to differentiate between one another. So, we have a basic system for this. For Full Tier System Click Here So what sort of Role…

  15. Started by Sam,

Ahtuk, son of chieftains, whose very blood rang with the clash of steel, reduced to little more than a sneak thief. The island was at peace. He—and those under his command—were under orders to do little more than patrol. It was menial labour fit for dogs and cattle. Those he commanded were warriors, and only one order would satisfy them: the call to war. Conflict was the only theatre where one might honour the might of their ancestors, to have their fill of the enemy. Ahtuk’s ennui was dwarfed now, for he had found her. “Jia ...,” once his captain, the woman had disappeared. Ahtuk had a mate, her heart was carved into that most sacred of places—his face, but he had …

Standing at attention, Chali was only vaguely aware of what was around her. They were at a practice field, the same on that her owner, Mistress Ikena, brought her to in order to exercise her power. She had been Mistress Ikena's damane for awhile now, though Chali could not have said how long it had been. Days were fleeting things, experienced but rarely remembered because she was not required to remember them. She was meant to remember what things that Mistress Ikena wished of her and when asked, to duplicate things that she knew. She did remember being handed over to one or two other people briefly and being commanded to perform a variety of weaves. Their faces…

OOC: Tai'Dashan is very intelligent, eager to please and be liked. He is rash and often rushes into things without thinking. Also, his heart has suffered some wounds in the past and he has been without female affection for some time now. take this and do as you will ;D, be cruel if you like, he could use some hardening ;) Tai'Dashan was frustrated. He had been at the Black Tower for almost a week now and had hardly learned anything. For the millionth time he wondered if it was somehow his fault. For the first time in a week, he had been given a whole day to himslef to do as he pleased, instead of just a few moments here or there. As he dressed, he looked at himself i…

Music: Lullaby from Pan's Labyrinth ( ) IC: The Ajah quarters were located halfway to the top of the Tower and it was quite a climb on the wide corridors spiraling upwards. Annais Nevell, an Accepted reasonably close to her Raising to the shawl had been sent to deliver a note to a Green Sister and the ascend had left her well and truly breathless. The Sisters were forced to do at least that much excercise which kept them in some kind of a condition. Still she was looking forward to the day when she herself could move up here, preferably to live with the Gray Sisters. But even though her choice was fairly clear already, her mentor Helgatha still insisted that she…

OOC: Greets! Well I'm on my way to WS 18 and this will be my first post in an attempt for that, I reeeally hope I read the requirements correctly *laughs* It is an Open RP, all Trainees/TG are welcome. I will be making a post every 2 days whether people respond or not. :) Enjoy! Shoar's eyes snapped open as he awoke from his slumber, his senses alert for any sense of wrongness. Years of living in the Blight had taught him to sleep lightly and his time back in Tar Valon had not changed that. He lay still, scanning for what had woken him, then relaxed as he heard a noise coming from downstairs. Roshgar must have awoke and was preparing the inn for the day to come. …

  21. Cairhien lay before Sahra as she stood on a windy hill north of the city and she remarked how different it looked when compared to Tar Valon despite both being located next to a river. Cairhien was much smaller and much uglier in her opinion. Tar Valon had been built by the Ogiers and there was unearthly beauty to it. Cairhien looked boring with its precise grid layout behind the unwelcoming high, gray walls. In as exact pattern as the walls were a square tops of broken towers rose above them. The scars from the time of the Aiel War and she wondered why they still hadn't gotten them fixed. Maybe to remember. Outside the city walls lay a warren of streets, crisscrossi…

  24. Muirenn was adjusting a vase of flowers on her desk when the first student entered the room. She gave the girl a brief smile, and returned to arranging the flowers. The girl gave her a quizzical look in return, especially since it wasn’t the season for lilacs. As the rest of the students filtered in, she stopped and began her lecture. “I hope that you all have, so far, enjoyed this class. We have several things to learn today, although I do not think that you will find it as challenging as the last class,” she paused and smiled at the relieved looks on the faces of many of the girls. “We are going to learn some weaves today that have some very practical applications.…

  25. It was perhaps a good half hour of twists and turns underground before Rasputin had found the final stairwell within the cellar of some old inn whose wall dividing it from the sewer had crumbled centuries ago. It would be good to be free of these tunnels underneath the earth and out under the sun once again. Not that Rasputin was unaccustomed to such conditions, but Aridhol was not a place he wished to linger in if he could be elsewhere. Not that he could now, not when he'd discovered what the Mayor had done with the ter'angreal, that could not be allowed to slide now that Rasputin realised how much of a danger the man was. Leading the way up the stairs, he waited…

"Training, I do be thinking you need some." The words lingered in Adela's mind as she stepped out. Nona's words, in her soft Illianer accent. For the past two weeks, Adela had found herself horribly bored. When she had first arrived, everything about the Ranch had been fresh and new, there were new grounds to go over and new people to cross sides with. Suspicions had arisen in her, lessons had been learnt but once such things had been traversed upon, what next? Herblore, she was learning speedily, and Nona herself said that Adela was a quick one. Adela had always known she had had it in her, but the truth was that learning about herbs was interesting. It amazed her h…

White Tower... The Academy of the Rose... Cairhien... Home...:: There was a bitter taste in the Highest's mouth as she sat in her leather chair deep within the Rose Quarters of the Red Ajah. The large mahogany desk dominated the small study room. It was covered with countless notions, gadgets and articles of little importance, yet she none of it could hold her interest. It all seemed insubstantial compared to the grand scheme of things, and in the end the sh…

The grass was still ever so slightly damp when they reached. Having concluded that her surroundings and Arette Sedai were all too real to be a dream, Tirzah had settled into a state of speculation. Her answers had been satisfying yes, given responses to every doubt that was there in her questions, even the vaguely subtle ones. However, once those were quenched, new ones had risen quicker than the previous, and as Arette had asked, she had held her tongue. Her questions now were to be saved for her future Mentor, Mac. Big Mac. There again came another subject of wonder for her. What was he like? She had met the Tower Guard before, and had laughed at his doings and sl…

Anton couldn't help feel a little nervous about what he had planned for the day. Not that he hadn't planned for it, indeed he'd made an effort to think it through and in general try and make sure things went well. But, there was only one way to find out and that was why he was walking to the main settlement. While he didn't care for being around many people these days, he did occasionally make allowances, like meeting with his fellow leaders in person to discuss matters in council. Then there were the times he brought new cubs to the stedding, people in need of Miryana's guidance to find their place in the Stedding and the world. Then there was visiting particular pe…

  30. Sighing, Anton nodded at Aleeza and thanked her for the favour she'd done. As the Wolfsister departed, Anton focused on the favour that Aleeza had granted. Korrena, the youngest sister of her three students, a bundle of trouble that he had trouble keeping tabs on and a truant from the lessons he was meant to be giving her today. The idea of being able to talk to wolves and play with them might have captured the girl's attention, but when it had come to the prospect of training, the girl had proved entirely recalcitrant. Well, not so much training as a whole, she had been happy to go to classes that were shared with her sisters. The moment that Anton had split the cla…
