History: After the fall of Hawkwing’s empire the strongest houses among the territories were left to fight for their supremacy. While the area known as the nation of Basharande during the Trolloc Wars and now known as Saldaea, was not excluded from such struggles, it did enjoy a more amicable unification than did some of the southlands due primarily to its need to have a strong front along the Blightborder. Attention could not be turned from their chief concern for long and in-fighting could not be allowed to detract from the efficient protection of their northern border. The first to hold sway over the expansive region was Guar Zerenaan, and upon his death, his…

<i>The sign of Kandor is a rearing red horse on a field of pale green.</i> Little is truly known of Kandor. It is well known for its Stone that is often shipped out for building purposes. The nation of Kandor was formed early in the War of the Hundred Years. The governors of Hawkwing's five northern provinces met and agreed to form stable nations to preserve the peace and defend against the Blight. Jarel Soukovni was the first King on the Throne of the Clouds. The Capital of Kandor is Chachin. <h3>Balance of Power</h3> Kandor is ruled by either a King or a Queen. Either holds the Throne of the Clouds in the Aesdaishar Palace in the c…

The ceiling swam into view as Arath recovered consciousness and opened his eyes. His head was pounding, and it took him a moment to realize where he was, and what had happened. The battle. The Aes Sedai. The bonding ... He suddenly realized why his head hurt. There was a very angry person inside of it. Sitting up in his bed, Arath took note of his condition and looked for his bondmate. His ribs had been mended, his shoulder as well. The healers had done a good job. Swinging his gaze around, he noted that he was in the small house he currently shared with a few other Asha'man. The small, angry woman he had bonded was sitting in a chair on the opposite side of th…

Hello and welcome to Turnings of the Wheel! Turnings of the Wheel (or ToW in short) exists so you can do different kind of Wheel of Time roleplaying and twist and play with Robert Jordan's world. Each story is exists in its own separate version of the setting, a different Portal Stone World if you will. You can set your stories anywhere and to any Age you desire. Want to see the Shadow winning the Last Battle? Wonder what your DM character would be like if they had become a channeler instead of Warder or a gleeman instead of a channeler? Got plans for how the world had been different if the Ten Nations hadn't fallen to the trollocs? Don't like how…

Orion’s hand slowly slid along the slick surface of the stone wall that was the hallway of the palace where he and Estel were now staying. They’re time together had grown easier even with the approaching birth of Estel’s son, it was soon now everyone was sure of it. And while Orion was coming to grips and beginning to accept Estel and her new son no matter how awkward it may be, this stay had not been easy. Being blind always made new placed a problem, he had spent the first two weeks never far from Estel or someone elses side as he would be easily lost and made a fool of without. He had been doubted by the household guard, ridiculed by some, for him still carrying a …

Hi all. I've had some questions about timeline that have been buzzing around in my head today that I never really had reason to ask before. 1) What year is it currently in the main RP timeline? 2) If two characters become involved, say a Warder and Aes Sedai relationship for example, and they are actually in different timelines when they first bond, can that be overlooked under the "don't ask, don't tell, never mention it again or you'll destroy space-time" clause? 3) Once the main RP timeline gets to the point where the Last Battle has been fought and it's all done, what happens next? Have there been any thoughts on that yet? Will the Wheel be reset …

Xilanin walked through the Large area from the gate to the main building that the Guard had pointed him towards last night. Even from last night to this morning, Xil’s head was spinning. *What am I doing?!* he thought to himself. He had though the idea to join the warder was the perfect plan to find his father. He knew his father was a warder from what hi mother and the townsfolk had said about him (Though none of them knew that Xil had been listening…he was still a little boy to them). Once his mother…died…Xil knew the path he must take. Looking at the size of the practice yard and the White Tower and all the warders here, the task looked far more daunting th…

Right-o ladies, we've got a new Amyrlin, and though yes - she's going to get picked, what is everyone's stance going to be? I am still waiting for Arette to post her thoughts on how Annais would related to the Greens, which will honestly make one of the main influencing points on how Raeyn relates to her - even if they're fun to chat to OOC, we're all quite aware that my character hates Greens, and thinks little of you adventuresome wandering sorts ;) Thoughts, opinions, standing or not? I plan on keeping Raeyn's bum in a chair, especially coupled with the fact that the proposed other possible character is a Blue (who we traditionally support).

So, I don't really remember where the Seanchan are at this point (I think not on the mainland yet anywhere?) but my sul'dam si getting pretty bored. Any wandering AS want to become a damane for a short time? I figure someone can get captured, then maybe a warder or someone frees her (can the collar be removed by just anyone if they know where the release clasp is? I don't remember...) and maybe capture my sul'dam instead (though not with the collar; she'd die if she thought she was supposed to be damane :D) So... yea... anyone interested? :D Or even I'm up for an RP doing something else with her... I just need something to do!!! Also my new Red sister Ja…

Vivien managed to stay inside her room for the better part of two hours after curfew. While her roommate was asleep quickly, Vivien was unable to catch a wink. She was jittery. It was her third week in the White Tower, her third week of her new life, and she was already losing her mind. The walls were closing in on her and however tired she was, she couldn’t find any rest. She felt suffocated in the hot stuffy air of the small room, she needed to breathe. She needed the open sky, the earth beneath her feet – perhaps even more than she so desperately needed her family. While the loss of her old life made her weep for hours on end sometimes, the feeling of being cooped up w…

Katrina kneed the man in his family jewels and ran from the town; she couldn't believe that she had almost been raped by some man who smelled like too much ale and his own un-washed body with its own mix of sweat and dirt. She gagged as she ran and tried to get her breath back, luckily she hadn't left any of her things at the room she had already paid for for the night. Light, she should have known better than to stop in this town, she had been able to smell it from quite a distance. It smelled strongly of cow manure and human waste which was thrown into the streets like they didn't care about the way their town smelled or looked. Rena made it just to outside the city and…

Having rode many days and nights from the Borderlands, Shoar rode slowly towards the gates of Tar Valon, pausing a short distance away to look up at the sacred tower. How long has it been... he thought to himself, since he last rode into the city. 10 years? 15? Too many... The many hard years of suriving in The Blight had taken it's toll on Shoar. His once jet-black hair now had a healthy smattering of grey through it and his body bore many more scars then he had when he last left. He paused in reflection, remembering the happier times he had spent at the Tower, until... Shaking himself, he clicked his tongue at his horse, Spring. Silver, his faithul mount of …

lol...anyways, I'm following the herd and going on LoA as well. I'm moving off to university Sunday so I'll have access (and hopefully energy) Saturday night to get some of the stuff I REALLY need to do out of the way but then I lose net access at my new place until my laptop comes in and then it might not be 'til next weekend where I can get access. Plus, I may be taking more time off to try and get settled in and everything.

It was big, it was fat, it had an expression like thunder and that was not just referring to the Head of the Kitchens. A half grown wild boar hung on a spit, piggy eyes shut and tusks in a snarl it had probably worn in life as well as now. No one seemed to have any idea who had ordered a wild boar for dinner but whoever it was deserved a clip round the ear, Aes Sedai or not. Not only was the sizzling pig decidedly creepy, it seemed to be ajitating the Kitchen staff with the simple fact that it needed to be prepared. Sial Daemoa, sleeves of her novice whites rolled to shoulders as usual and looking scruffy even by her standards, stood across from the spitroast washing …

http://forums.dragonmount.com/index.php/topic,20929.0.html Nerome Seshir is finally promoted to the ranks of the TG. Actually this happened a while ago, but his mentor was just too lazy to start up a proper party thread for him. Now that that's done, I would like everyone to come and welcome this young man, who is your brother in battle from now on ;)

to celebrate the promotion of Nerome Seshir! http://forums.dragonmount.com/index.php/topic,20929.0.html it's long overdue, but his lazy mentor has finally gotten off her backside and created a party thread for him. I won't be satisfied until the boy is properly welcomed into the Tower Guard :D Trainees, warders, tower guards, you're all welcome to celebrate with him.

He was ready. Ginae’s words resonated in his mind as he turned around as smartly as he could, and made his way out. It had been midway through a spar with a friend that a younger youth had approached him, saying the Mistress of Trainees wanted him. Nerome had wondered, with some level of irritation what mess he could have possibly be pulled into this time, especially considering he himself had been under the impression that his reputation of late, was quite spotless. Truth was, he had laboured hard these past few weeks, spending most of his time practicing forms or greeting the occasional spar with another. All because of a promise made, that he promised to himself he wou…

Kamarille Maradim Nindar, a woman of prowess and success who rose during the Age of Legends was spun into the myths passed on to this day, not because of her strength in the One Power, but because she could look into the cloudiest eyes and read the soul clearly. Kamarille Maradim Nindar, was a psychiatrist of renowned ability in understanding the human mind. Where the One Power proved ineffective, Kamarille indulged in success. She could scars that no channeler could. She was a healer of the mind. Graendal, Kamarille remade. Beauty was given new heights, after she came to be. Physically perfect, she is the other side of the coin to her counterpart, Kamarille. Graend…

This is information for the Tower, not an actual RP, although it will allow for more interesting RP's for Sitters that are confined to the Tower. Research by James Ter'Angreal info by Reetta (Arette) The Great Library Big White Book Notes A library in the Westlands rivaled only by the Royal Library in Cairhien. Holds a vast collection of knowledge. Rumoured to have as many secret rooms as it does open sections. Objects of power are meant to lie within its walls. Tower Vault Book Description - Extract comes from TFoH 326-7 (or summarized? Provided by Reetta) - A heavy paneled door had thick hinges and iron straps, and a black iron lock set in it as big as a man's head. Shelves lined the walls, holding plain boxes and inlaid chests of various sizes and shapes, small figures in bone or ivory or darker material, things of metal and glass and crystal that sparkled in the candlelight. Nothing that appeared dangerous. Proposed Dragonmount Description - In the lower levels of the Tower, there is a set of stairs that lead down several flights until they level out into a corridor that leads to a heavy oak door with m…

Premise: Lillian Tremina, a newly raised sister to the White Ajah is, for a variety of reasons during her decade as a Novice and a score of years as an Accepted, not typical a sister. Despite her choice of Ajah, she is keenly interested in working for the Tower as a whole rather than siding simply with her Ajah. Due to her major work on the Tower, Lillian made sure to make connections with many sisters in the Tower which came to include Arette Sedai, Keeper of Chronicles. At the same time, she also realises that her position in the Tower is far from enviable. The weakest Sister to be raised to the shawl in recent memory and remaining one of the weakest of the Tow…

Light be praised that she did not yet have a roommate, because Dovaen had spent the night crying, throwing fits, and mostly sleepless. When the sun broke over the horizon, she pulled herself together, washed her face and ran to the armory, where her mentor had told her to meet her at dawn. Pausing only to ask for directions, she managed to arrive at the armory early. She didn't see the woman with the odd hair, so, curious girl she was, decided to gander around. There was no one in the armory and Dovaen was grateful for it. Inspecting the weapons, she picked up a double-edged arming sword, and ran her finger along the blade. Very sharp, she thought to herself. Across…
