The morning was one of many possibilities as far as Aran was concerned. The plans had been laid, the scene had been set and all the actors had arrived to play their parts. In fact, he was rather proud of how things had turned out. Well, except for the fact that Rosheen had flounced off on him. But then that always happened on occasion and Rosheen had not been happy with how things were turning out. Nevermind that she had made all the right choices. She'd kept the Aes Sedai on track and ensured they stuck the plan even as it evolved, that she had given him the latitude needed to get things done, that he had taken advantage of the opportunities that had presented them…

Denae's nervousness had increased as each day drew them closer to the White Tower, to the adventure she had not asked for. She already missed her family, her quiet, predictable life. Being on horseback was entirely new to her also, and it hadn't taken long for her to grow uncomfortable. She shifted in the saddle again, hiding a wince as she did so. She did not want the Aes Sedai to think she was a troublesome girl who did nought but complain. If only she'd allowed room in her bags for some salve. At the thought of her bags, Denae's gaze turned longingly to the wagon containing her precious books and paints. Travelling every day meant she did not have the time she lo…

It was a cloudy day and considering it being summer it was cold. A gusty wind tugged at her dove grey riding gown, hat and hair. She had crossed the Erinin by Aringil three days ago and was riding north now, via Cairhien towards Tar Valon with the vague hope one of the Aes Sedai might know where her father, the true heir of Altara, currently was. If anyone knew, then surely the Aes Sedai of the white tower. For more then a month she was now alone on her way. At first she had avoided towns and villages. She had even slept rough in order to shake off the guards meant to keep her save and her maid who was still with them. Once they had come dangerously close to capture…

Due to a lot of stuff going on in her life, and because I'd rather she has fun here rather than having to stress while she has genuinely important stuff to deal with, I've accepted Claire's resignation as the Freelander second. As things currently stand, the staff are myself at the top of the food chain. Then underneath we have Arie as the biochecker, score manager and site maintainer and we have Telcia and Arette dual handling the Kin. Anything those three don't cover, I do. And don't worry, Claire is still around as much as she can be so its definitely not goodbye, otherwise I'd break her ankles so she couldn't walk away. ;D But, just so you all know.

The Gray shawl about Lavinya's shoulders fluttered slightly as she shifted in her chair. The day felt long, and her patience, what little she had, was wearing thin. When Lavinya had become an initiate, even when she had risen to join the Gray Ajah, she had not imagined her days would be like this. She was a mediator (or manipulator, depending on who was doing the describing), an Aes Sedai of beauty and intelligence. She should be at the right hand of some great ruler, sharing her wisdom and forging treaties. Not meting out justice to an array of petty criminals, seated on an uncomfortable wooden chair in an audience room of the White Tower. Where was her adventure? Certai…

A small pool of soft light broke the unrelenting blackness that normally filled the room at this hour. The dance of a single flame set the shadows in a sinuous dance to the sound of a pen scritching over the plain parchment. In another place or time the movements of the shadows might have even been called erotic. But the lone occupant that maned the pen had no time for such thoughts or dreams of such trivial contact. An innocence lost to that flash of heat and carnal imagery of the mind had seized him once in a moment of weakness. It would not happen again. For all the challenges he had endured in the name of trying to win back his place. He had succeeded only in drawing …

First, there do be Light! Followed by several more exclaimations not suitable for the virgin ears of several passing Novices as through soft honeyed curls the Taraboner's frustration intensified, and she stared at another report of how once again Rory had gotten her flipping self caught by the servants trying to run away in the middle of the night. Running after the Illianer had become routine in some ways, and judging by the whispers and betting that were rampant, the odds did not favour a reprieve from the chase. Almost she was tempted to try a leash. Though Seanchan method made sense now, Saline knew it was simple and wishful thinking. Physical restraints would no…

~Dorian Standing ready for this trip Dorian felt even less inclined to go on that errand with Corin than when his mentor had told him what they were going to do the night before. It was nothing special of course. A minor errand to fulfill, nothing to fret about. Any trainee should count himself lucky to be let out of the Tower walls for a while. Days off were still too rare, even after more than two years that he had already spent under the Yard's tutelage. Two of which he had spent with Danian and it even though it had been months ago - three months and eleven days to be exact - Dorian still didn't feel ready to continue with his training like he had before. There w…

Within the infirmary, within a room set apart from all the others, there were two men present. One man was sitting, the other was lying down, both were silent as the grave. The room they were in had once been bare, but now an assortment of things had been gathered. A dresser full of fine clothing, a table with a selection of books on both the militant and philosophical, a valet stand where a set of armour hung with a gleam that bespoke of impeccable care. The bedstand was clear save for a candle, a bottle of wine and a glass that would have left rings in the dust if dust had been allowed to settle. The room was waiting for something, just like the man who was seated …

OOC: The Stone Dogs are a little different than the other Societies. We're doing our initiation into the society before the warrior training. Since you wish to be a Stone Dog and all are taught to fight from a young age I'm working under the assumption that your character has already learned all of the basic fighting skills. Your actual "Training" which will occur after your initiation will be society specific and help to advance your weapons score as advertised in the Aiel Policy post. So without further ado much of this post is simply you writing. I'll send you a PM with an outline of the Initiation if you wish. otherwise, you can just check out Cor's initiation thread …

Arette's Post OOC: This takes place several years before the current Main Plotline situation. So for example Cairhien is not occupied by Aiel and the Dragon has not declared himself. IC: Once upon a time in Cairhien a miserable and frightened coppery-haired girl sat in a private cabinet of an inn and the buxom innkeeper fussed around her trying to make her drink a calming brew of tea. The young woman who called herself Mina now had required alot of persuation to stay in the inn any longer after the little show she had given in the dining room when the pervert old lecher had pawned her. After what had been done to her, she did not bear to be touched, especi…

I reposted it in the correct board :) 1. Tai'Dashan slowed as he approached what everyone he talked to had been calling "The Farm." The dirt path he was on led to ominous, slick-looking, black stone walls. "Looks nothing like a farm." He mumbled to himself. On The outside, The Farm was a formidable looking structure, if unfinished. Through gaps in the strange shiny black walls, Tai'Dashan could see a bustling mass of people. He felt a stab of apprehension as he saw those people moving about purposefully and wondered if he would fit in. 'What are you thinking you goat-brained fool?' He thought to himself harshly. 'You aren't exactly here to make friends. …

Hey all, I'm looking to address those of you out there that are dedicated or below in rank. Yes you soldiers are the perfect people I am looking for. If you are dedicated or below and are interested in a few extra RP's in the yard that have nothing to do with training but are intended for fun and my own personal ... well let's just say fun for now shall we. ;) Then let me know who you are so we can have a little chat and see if you would be interested in what I have in mind. Sorry you Ashy's and above, this is for the lower ranks ... for now .... I'm sure I will be seeing someone from your rank a little later on. ;)

I'm making a bit of a comeback, and it was recently asked of me if I would be interested in making a temporary Trolloc for the Aiel to stick their spears in. I replied that I already have a PC Trolloc, a Claw Leader named Ereh, but that I'm not sure what happened to him. I remember an RP with Narg and the player of Umaro some time ago, but nothing happened after that. So what can I do so I can be involved in the Aiel Blight Raid? -Josh

Odd how things conspire against me. I've been roped into going to scout camp with my little brother as an adult leader, so I'll be gone for a week. Sorry to anyone I'm RP-ing with. I'll be back next Sunday. Sort of. On an even less happy note, my computer has come to its untimely death after only 6 months. Don't. Buy. Dell. Hard drive failure me thinks . . . I'm pissed either way. Hopefully I'll be happier after a week in a dusty, sweaty camp full of 12-14 yr olds . . . Light help me.

Sahra would have never thought that she would enjoy sharing Sana's attention with anyone even if it was a male, but the news that he had been assigned another mentee meant that the Mistress of Trainees deemed her almost ready for Raising. All they had to do was to go to a mission together where Sahra would prove herself and then she could don the red cloak. Assuming of course that she did well. But she would, she just knew it. She had been so excited and thrilled that she had wrapped her feet around Sana and kissed his cheeks while he laughed. When she had smacked a kiss on his lips, they both had quickly remembered that such displays of emotions were not entirely proper …

OOC: I hope that you don't mind me starting a RP without notifying you first, Jorality. I would like our characters to get to know each others and if you are interested, I could start us another thread. In this thread Fior is in infirmary and if Jorality is kind enough and tells it to Sahra, she will rush there *g* Of course they don't have to get along at all and she can hear from someone else. However you would prefer it :) IC: Sahra was literally bouncing a bit as she made her way to her and Fior's room. She had been gone for almost two months with Sana and the best word to describe the trip was a harrowing mind Mother's Milk in a Cup!. But end well, all well…

"You know, this isn't necessary." Lifting his right foot backward so it touched his lower back, Aran pulled on it as he balanced on his left leg, stretching as he regarded his older brother. For some reason, he had deemed it necessary to test Aran and to determine how able he was. Admittedly, Aran had been a fair bit of a slacker once when it had come to his training. Well, compared to his brother anyway, but he was quite certain he had just about caught up to him. It had been some years now, years spent on the Warders Yards and years spent abroad. Between it all, he'd picked up more than he felt his brother realised. "It is necessary." Short and to th…

WhiteWolf Posted: Sat Jun 09, 2007 “I do not know why they have contacted us Aleeza, all I know is that there is a Wanderer who is in need of our help and that we have to go now. It would be a difficult trip at the best of times, but to come in this unexpected fashion only adds more concerns.” Owen removed a pouch from a pocket in his breaches and removed several coins and handed them to Aleeza. “We need supplies, enough so that we do not need to slow ourselves down hunting for our food. I want to stay away from the well-used roads and only take back trials if we can. We will be travelling hard Aleeza so make sure you consider that when choosing our supplies. Now b…

Estel Posted: Sat Apr 28, 2007 Thud. The man across the room smirked. Despite his nervous, twitchy nature, the clerk had a derisive attitude towards his employer; Carnhain. Since both the Captain General and Banner Captain and Captain of the Thunder Battalion had been killed in the battle for Illian, leadership of the cavalry had fallen to Carnhain. The first thing the young man had noticed in his abrupt promotion from Lieutenant to Captain General had been the overwhelming increase of paperwork and for a man who hadn’t been able to read and write more than his name until only two years ago, he was simply incapable of reading through that much paperwork in …

Autumn gone, the northwind scattered leaves, and she gazed out at the crisp winter spread. Snow fell and blanketed the grounds like precious jade, reminding her of Dorian. She had taken to wearing bells in her curls, so the trainee would be able to hear her from far off, and she wondered if he was training inside. If only Dorian could see. After meeting him, she appreciated the marvellous properties of sight she had always taken for granted. She resolved to paint him a picture, or commission Rossa for one, which was probably a better idea. The image of him touching the flakes and layers of the picture pleased her, and she made a note to stop by Rossa's soon. Rossa's was a…

I'm reposting this from the WT Org board, I accidently posted there, silly me :P But any help will be welcome! Hello everybody, and to all the very old members, hello again! It's been... a long, long--okay, well years since I've been here. I still recognize a few names though Wink Anyway I started out at DM back in 2001 and have been off-on since, and I'd like to get into RPing again. Actually, I was about to get into RPing again when some unexpected RL matters transfered me to a different state, and with all the happy stress that came with it I totally forgot about RPing. Now, right before this big move occurred, I did get my bio for my character (re)ap…

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls step right up and sign your life away. Did I say sign your life away? What I really meant was join the glamorous life of the Cavalry! The best Corps in the best army in all of Randland! Why get your belly all muddy and wave a big stick around when you can casually ride on a comfy horse? Why run out in front all by your lil' lonesomes when you get to stay in the middle with all your buddies? Why hang out in the back and shoot lil' twigs when you can charge in for glory and save the day? Why bandage people up when you can get stabbed yourself?... ok, that one wasn't too well thought out. Anyways, General Carnhain and I are looking for YO…
