Surely that could not be Aramina sur Dulciena? The object of Carise Doraile’s attention disappeared again into the whirling crowd of dancers in a flurry of green skirts. Carise affected a dismal scowl, but the expression was lost in the shadows of her dark hood as she stood against the back wall of the inn’s common room, cup of spiced wine in hand. Murandy’s Festival of Spring was now in its second night, and in the Swan Song Inn, as outside in the streets, men and women decked out in festive garb were wining and dancing as though there were no tomorrow. Music of the harp and flute and a dozen native Murandian instruments Carise had never seen before echoed throug…

There were few people that were invited into Aramina's quarters. What few might invite themselves often found that Aramina had ways to escort them directly back out without a single moment of rudeness or a drop of inpropriety. Aramina was simply a private person. She had no friends and few associations outside her Ajah. What the people she had met outside the White Tower thought of her often amused Aramina because she showed what she needed, and in most cases her eyes and ears knew her to be a kind and affectionate person. It was only in these halls that Aramina's true colors showed, her passion in life held completely in the thrall of the Tower and it's benefit. …

"Oh I have seen stark Tarwin's Gap, and Trolloc's raving horde. I have stood fore the Halfman's charge, and walked on death's cold borde. But a winsome lass, she waits for me, for a dance and a kiss 'neath the apple tree..." Sitting on his horse, Jaem started becoming dizzy, bobbing up and down, side to side. He stopped humming the song when he noticed himself smiling. Carefully, without spilling, he brought his flask of brandy back to his lips. The tiny village of Deven Ride lay on all sides of him now. "What a flaming hole." He laughed to himself. He remembered when it seemed like a sprawling community. Eyes were now following him down the road. The older f…

~Rossa~ A glimpse through the window was fruitless; the rain had been coming down too hard and stubborn raindrops still clung to the pane, the pendulous globes waiting for their weight to become too much for them, and to yield to the inevitable slippery downward slope that followed. Rossa stood a moment entranced as one of the droplets zigzagged down the glass and mingled with the myriad others at the bottom of the frame. It gave her a clearer view of outside now, but she dared not linger longer or risk being chided by an Aes Sedai for wasting valuable time. Her aim was the novice quarters, to oversee a chore that, given the conditions, would be as much of a chore …

Long story short folks. We've got a new website in the works (one that, thanks to some really easy to use templates) will actually be up and running. It's also going to be easy as hell to update, so the thing's not going to go the way of the last few attempts. But with a new website, comes new information. It's something I've mentioned to staff, and we've all agreed upon. Character desciptions. Sure, we can all say what our own character look like, but how many other character can you accurately, and in detail explain? (Jocelyn and Rion, we just don't want to know :P) Its something that we're all falling/falled into the habit of avoiding in Rps. Leaving detail…

~Dilora~ The road out of Baerlon seemed so empty. So few people walked along the dusty trail that the plain wagon rumbled along, wheels turning and churning smoke-like clouds of road detritus into my face and eyes. The broad-brimmed hat to keep the summer's heat off was held in place with a wide, flat ribbon, but it did nothing to protect my hands which were red and peeling on both sides. The tops were burnt by the sun, the undersides from holding the reins tightly, but I wouldn't have changed it for the world. If all else failed I imagined I could find a Wisdom from somewhere, or even a goodwife from one of the nearby villages that had some skill with herbs and g…

At last the mountains were behind them, and before them lay the plains of Amadicia, which stretched as far as the eye could see, and the eyes of this group could see further than any normal persons, for this group were not your average travellers, they belonged to the Wolfkin and that brought advantages as well as disadvantages. All of them were on horseback, and moved in single file, making it that much harder for anyone to estimate their number. They stayed away from hilltops, and ridges, often going out of their way to ensure they were not seen by anyone who had no reason to know of their passing. The leader, a pale skinned man, who’s eyes shown with a golden inte…

Arafel, Lyv had been here for some months now and had not seen much action since she got here. The captains kept their troops in action by organizing patrols and lot's of training on odd terrain. She did not enjoy it much, but it was nice to stay in a different country. The locals did not much appreciate the tower guards and shunned the camp as much as possible. Lyv wondered about the Arafellins and spent nights over the campfire talking to her fellow guards on watch about the Borderland folk. What made them tick? Today was no different than other days in that she had to do some training for her lieutenant. Nobody could be left behind and so they all had to be in shape an…

Ok, so I just sent a bio to whatever email adress was on the bio page. Some things probably need to be changed but thats ok. I was a Captain General of the Cavalry and a blademaster, but I gimped myself up a bit, so I'm definately not asking to be a blademaster again. As far as the rank, I don't know how you'd do it for a guy thats coming back, but I know for sure it won't be the same. I think in his condition it'd be better off to start as a new recruit again anyways :D But I still want to be in the Cavalry. Anyways, thats it for now. Forge trudged through the suffocating heat looking for a place to rest, a 12-foot tall mountain of calm in the middle of a hectic river of mankind’s energy. Dust puffed up with each footfall, like tiny smoke signals sending a message begging for rain. A dismal grey-brown cloud of dust hung over Four Kings, draping the mis-named village like a cloak of despair. The town was a central hub of trade through the region. Its four roads led from the dingy stop-over to the distant great cities, but they also led back to here, which wasn’t any place special at all. Four Kings was nothing but a loud and dirty wagon stop and sleepover for the vast merchant trains that traver…

Somebody had lit the sea on fire and it had washed across a thousand leagues to burn the night in southern Kandor. Nothing else explained the sight that greeted her; black the skies above her head, black as pitch and not broken by a single star, yet from where she stood clutching the icy stone atop a wall she glimpsed a thousand thousand stars reflected in the impossible water beneath her. Like waves they surged and broke upon the wall underneath while brilliant points of light eddied and swirled far out. The strange fantastic view overwhelmed her; her senses failed to cope with its intensity, with the glass sharp contrast of black and star-white, the impossibility of it …

Gaiya moved through the halls of the Tower. It was strange that today she was in a good mood. Good meaning she wasn't outright angry at anyone in particular, so her fury had no real outlet. This unfortunately meant that she was restless, fidgety. Gaiya needed to occupy herself, and she knew how she wanted to do it. She glided through the hallways, searching. Searching for any unwitting novices who either didn't see her coming, or were too new to know to avoid the dark eyed borderlander. It was time to put the fear of Gaiya Heeldere into a couple of novices. She moved her way to the library, where there were always novices around, who didn't have any pressing matters t…

It was surprisingly peaceful in Electra's house since everyone had gone to Nyxia to keep her company while she was giving birth. Rae and Leonidas would have normally supported Philip but he had died two months before the birth of their newest baby, killed by the mercenaries who were the plague of the Perfumed Quarters. Their harrasment had been countered by founding of the militia by Con and his men but more mercenaries came to the city every day. Arette would have went with the others too to act as a midwife but Rana had chicken-pox. Someone else could have tended her even if Arette would have been reluctant to leave her, but Electra had told her and Con to stay home. Sh…

The woman sat astride the body on the bed, a large curved dagger gripped in both hands and raised above her head. Face expressionless, the dagger flashed down, blood spurted everywhere as the main carotid artery was severed. Domino felt the body spas med beneath her as the organism sort to prolong life. She was agile enough to be able to keep her position and waited for the spasming to subside. The gag in the mouth of her victim prevented any but the smallest sounds escaping, and that was easily explained away as the sounds of passion, that was what had lured him into her clutches after all. Once the hook had been baited, he had been an easy catch. Getting up Domino went …

I been at DM for what 2.5 years, and known her about half that time, thoug it feels like longer. We soon became good friends and realised we had much in comon, much to talk about and gigle girlishly about. That we felt comfortable around eachother, and came to trust eachother. Its someone i can talk to about anything online, and then meeting her real life realising i am just as relaxed and comfortable in her present. So we are twins in spirit, and though its been at my mind some time i havent goten around to really ask her to do this. And yes i know some migth wonder why here as we dont have a tradition not since i joined to do this down in the rp section, yet this wh…

Hay all, I'm working on an RP plan and I need some ideas... This is the basic outline (It's not finished or aproved yet so dont take it to seriously) Basic RP Plan: Bruce Shepherd, also known as Ram, is accused of murdering a young woman officer. He is seen running away from the scene covered in blood, heading for a gate out of the Citadel. The murder weapon found imbedded in the woman’s back is a pole-axe. Along the sides of the wooden shaft are carvings of decorative swirls and two ram’s, their horns locked in battle. Only one person in the Band carries a pole-axe into battle, and the unique weapon is known to belong to Ram. The alarm goes out and…

Rhia stood the deck of the raker that sped toward the mainland with impossible speed. The mainland was still a sliver on the horison, but already Rhia could feel frustration starting. Being docked for days at a time waiting for the Cargomaster to fill the hulls with more goods was a necessary task, as necessary as she herself was to the guiding of the craft below her, but it was still time away from the open seas, away from the freedom that she had learned to love and take for given. At sea there was no one to order you but those on your ship, it made for a tight knit crew, but losing that freedom, that right to self-reign, always chaffed until returned with there depart…

Hey all... I doubt you guys remember me, but my character was an Asha'man by the name of Demetrius Schezar, so everyone just called me Demi. Wow... its been so very long since I've posted here. But I remember Koras and Arath before they left. i was a Soldier then. And I remember you Covai, friggin got me addicted to Full Metal Panic. And you Ben! We never got our Healing classes rolling for my Ashie's talent, cuz I quit DM. I remember when Estel was a wee lil Soldier, didn't you have Vaerrant as your first Mentor? I haven't seen him or lmntalfyre or any of my old Soldier gang... Man I wish I could access those old posts. It was in like Feb-May of 2005. But anyways…

It took everything that Mehrin had not to chuckle at Drea's question. When the idea had first struck him, he had been afraid of how she would react to the situation, apparently a misplaced fear. "Your bird is safe for now, and will continue to be as long as you comply. That is all you need to know." Safe in his belt pouch and wrapped in wool padding, as Mehrin had placed it before Drea had even come in. If she kept it, it probably meant something to her. Mehrin's own meal arrived shortly after, a piece of roast beef and roasted potatoes. He wasn't too picky. The two ate in silence for a short amount of time, Mehrin keeping to the shadows as much as possible. …

~Dilora~ The capital city of Jehannah was a few days ride away yet, but Dilora was taking her time in getting to the Ghealdanin centre of power. Her cargo was not of great importance, but picking up information was and having had to rush everywhere for the past few months, she was glad to slow the pace down and allow her horse a chance to recover. Poor Altie must have thought there was a battle approaching with all the speedy preparations her mistress had been making. Dilora was now being the thoughtful owner and allowing the mare time to amble along. There was no real need for speed, not until the end of the summer months when autumn threatened to make travel a l…

“Whoa, Midnight.” Gaea pulled the reins tight and gazed at the city in front of her. Sunlight sparkled on the waters surrounding the island, and the Tower walls stretched high, trying to be a part of the sky itself. Her heart gave a nervous little thump. What will happen when she walked through those gates again? Some sort of penitence, she was sure….on more than one front. She wasn’t sure if she feared the Amyrlin’s wrath, the wrath of the Green Ajah leader, or Yrean’s wrath more. She was sure none of them would be pleased with her. I wonder if they have declared me dead? If that’s the case, then they might well be pleased to see me! She laughed ruefully to…

~Rossa~ The sun shone down like a blessing; dappled light shone through the small, ornamental trees and cast dancing shadows on the verdant green grass where Rossa sat, thinking. She sat looking at the neat rows of plants that her and a few other novices had planted as part of a chore for Vera Sedai, shortly after her arrival at the White Tower. The sun-warmed air smelled of grass and blooms, and the stillness was a refreshing change of the corridors Rossa had been determined to take a short while to calm her mind. She had to think! As was so often the case, Accepted worked from the first rays of light to the last bell at night and sometimes beyond with attempt…

ooc for those reading this its a retro rp to fill in some past in my chars history M'bela sat looking at the sun going down in the horison, another day passed, the 6th by now. Her eyes strayed in the direction of where her home would be found, that was over a weeks ride from here anyhow. But there was litle to do but wait, anything else would for sure lead dangerously close to signing her own death warant for disobidience. So here she sat on this desert place, awaiting the lord knew what, a sign, a messenger, she only knew she had been told to go here and wait. She rose and turned to go back down the hill to her sparce camp, when she sudenly felt it to her left. S…

hehe. Anyways, Iknow it was ridiculous of me to post my topic like that, but I couldn't resist. I was told that I should post on the BT OOC forums about getting an Ashie or Dedicated to bond my Blue Sister in the Watchers RP. It would be loads of fun. Especially since she's a fiesty Saldaean, AND was one of the Dragonsworn, as well. Contradictory, eh? Please let me know. THanks Blessed Be Serena Morrigan BLue AJah
