Am I waiting on others to reply or should I move on? Just don't want to hold anything up.

Watching the door that had closed behind Fior, her new room mate, Sahra fingered absent-mindedly her chin that he had pinched in a friendly manner before his departure. She had a very good feeling about this. They would become good friends and he would be nice to have around just for the sake of aesthetics too. The room was otherwise plain enough to belong any random poor farmer. Fior had mentioned her the common mess hall but she had eaten a while before in Master Gill's in, her last dinner there as his employee. It had been a bit sad but this was what she had wanted for a year. Today she would really start training and under Sana of all people. She beamed at the thought…

Telcia sat quietly as the carriage rumbled to a stop. She wasn't certain exactly how to approach these women despite Livia's many instructions. She'd heard of them... those who had come together outside the Tower but never had she figured them to be so organized as Livia had hinted. What exactly would they want of her? Would they ask anything at all? Livia had instructed her that it was likely they wanted information, with all the changes in the world and worries... surely she had knowledge to help them about the Dragon, the Tower, the men in the black coats... She wanted to be included, oddly. It hadn't been something she wanted right away. Truthfully, the …

A hot wind whipped down the street of Tar Valon as Evaida wandered leisurely along. As like many new Sisters she had been tempted to wear her Gray fringed shawl so that she would be recognised as Aes Sedai, but a warm summers day was no time to be wearing a shawl so her serpent ring would have to suffice. Every now and then someone would notice her ring and incline their head but for the most part Eva blended into the crowed. Since the day after she was raised to the shawl Evaida scoured the markets in search of something almost as rare as an Aiel with a sword – a good horse, and today was no different. Much to her disappoint today was all too similar to every other day…

ooc- continued from this thread http://www.dragonmount.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4287 IC- Jaydena stood outside Aramina's room and reflected on what was about to happen. Once again she would go before the ajah head and tell her that this person, this Aes Sedai was ready to be raised. Of course the ajah head should have been here but that was fine, she had given up hope of ever being ajah head. She thoughts back Sirayn's second petition and how Mandi had almost denied her the right to be a green. Now Sira was the one leading the ceremony and she was unlikely to deny anyone after her own horrible experience. Jaydena turned as she heard the door being opened and looked …

M'bela looked around in the hut, though it where all orderly, things didn’t easily change in the dream so though she had arrived two days ago little of that showed in here, nor that she where asleep on the bed in the corner. Her reason for starting here was as easy explained as it being a safe place, she preferred knowing that she where unlike to stumble upon someone when stepping into Tel'aran'rhiod. She had no reason to doubt the message left in her dream the night before to be genuine. She was too old and experienced, though she saw the reason and liked it there were something about this mission that annoyed her. There was no saying there was talk of another …

The Great Lord take me, look at the sight! Andros was reeling from his first sight of the White Tower. He had heard the stories about it. Everyone had. But that's exactly what he had thought they were, stories. He never expected anything like this to be true. It was truly a daunting piece of architecture, something he could appreciate from his years as a shipbuilder in Ebou Dar. Great Lord, Ebou Dar, he thought, blood and ashes I miss that place. What wouldn't I give to see that place. He shook himself of the homesickness. Get a grip, he berated himself, it's only been a few months! If you can't handle this, then maybe Aral and Ralf picked the wrong man for this miss…

Hey all, Looking for a roommate for my female warder trainee, Jorality. Jory's a short blade specialist, very friendly and outgoing. I'm a fairly active RPer, so no worries on that front. I'll keep an eye out here, or on the RP boards. Thanks, Jory

Some things had long ago ceased to amaze Jatasha, but this morning she realized that some of those were all a matter of experience. For example, she had long ago lost her fascination with the feel of skin on her fingertips. This morning however, she was lying on the ground beside her new lover and she just kept running a finger up and down his arm, just for the sensation of it. How long had it been since she had taken a lover by choice and not necessity? Part of her recognized that she had been offering herself as payment for her rescue but he had rejected that. Somewhere along the line there had been comforting though and her choice to lay with him had been jus…

~Dilora~ Well, this was a nice little place. Reminiscent of the little village taverns that Dilora had stopped at during the course of her travels through Andor, the little alehouse had appealed to her because the windows. It was an odd thing to be drawn to, but Dilora had been attracted to the fact that this particular tavern, completed with sawdust on the floor and a low-beamed ceiling, had clean windows. Neat curtains, held back with ribbons that spoke tellingly of care and attention, despite the fact that the furniture seemed to be made from cheaper woods. This was Tar Valon, after all. She'd found it relatively easily, left Altie and her brightly-painted w…

It was a bright warm morning that found Satine practising her tumbling in the open field outside the city gates. While she was not in one of the flashier outfits she saved for performing, she was still dressed scandalously enough to attract some attention while she trained. Her pants were blood red, voluminous yet gathered around her calf, showing off a good deal of ankle, and her blue blouse left little to the imagination as she flipped upside down. Blue crystal beads ticked together softly at the ends of her blonde braids as she moved. She dropped into a split, grinning broadly as she earned herself an appreciative little clap from one of the nearby men. Some of the…

Jorality left the Mistress of Trainees office, a note clutched in hand. She was dressed in the garb of a Tower Guard Trainee, bristling with blades. On her back, in a custom harness that had cost her a pretty pouch of gold, were two short swords, more like scimitars in their weight and shape. Down her spine in a sheath was a long dagger, matching the two in her sleeves, her boots, and her belt. In her redgold hair, two hair sticks concealed sharp stiletto blades, and inside her belt was a soft leather pouch containing her lock picks. Jory found her way through the warders yards, as they were commonly called, towards the training grounds. Archers practiced against…

In Amador, there were three kinds of people: the 'haves', the 'have-nots', and the Children of the Light. Young Thaddeus al'Dobnan had it all. His parents were prominant nobles in the city. Together with his best friend, Trev, Thad could get anything he wanted outside of the Dome of Truth. Thad had an itch that couldn't keep him in the palace for very long. It started out innocently enough, sneaking out late at night, ordering other teenage boys to do the same. Soon it had turned into pranks and girls. Tonight though was going to change everything. He looked to his right, where Trev figited nervously in front of the tavern's door. "Don't worry, Trev, you bloody little…

Jaydena winced and rubbed a her hand across her thigh, light why did I sign up to do this training, she thought. She shook her head and rubbed the salve into her arm and thigh and reached for her shirt. With a laugh she pulled the shirt over her head and rolled her shoulder. She picked up her sword and cinched it around her waist. Following this up with her second sheath, which housed two short staves, black with green dragons carved around them. Another day and another training session did not make Jade a happy camper. Jade had been asked quite nicely in fact to help train some of the Accepted as well as the younger Aes Sedai in the art of the double short staves and als…

Jahana Ananda sat on a boat approaching Tar Valon. Her auburn hair swung gently in the strong breeze. With nearly black eyes she stared at the immense tower jutting up from the center of the island city. Never in her wildest dreams had she imagined that she would end up here. Jahana still couldn’t really believe that her journey away from her parents in Arad Domon led here. Her mother, one of those renowned Domani traders, had given up on Jahana ever following in her footsteps. Jahana couldn’t talk like a Domani woman should, especially a Domani trader. She had been trained in the arts of a woman since she was twelve years old. But Jahana just couldn’t grasp the w…

"It's only a door," Ino Garvedian murmured as she took in the high arched oaken entryway leading to the Mistress of Novices' chamber. "Honestly, it's nothing you haven't seen before, so just knock and get it over with." She couldn't bring herself to do it, though. At that moment, the shining brass knocker in the middle of the panel gave her more pause than a venomous snake. Maidela Aes Sedai, the one that'd brought her here, had only come with her this far. After depositing her in front of the door, she'd announced her intention to go on to more important affairs; at Ino's startled blink and stammered beginnings of a question, she'd tilted her head, raising an eyebro…

The sky's reddish tinge slowly began to fade to orange and purple and soon even these colours would eventually devolve into blackness. One that would envelop and consume the countryside, but neither feared nor cared as he would be long stopped by then. So Reikan ignored the colours of the early evening until the very last moment when the road would become more treacherous to his companion then a berserking trolloc. The last thing he needed was for Torrid to step wrong and twist a leg or worse. Pulling her off the languid road he guided them slowly towards some wild brush and fairly used watering hole. He had passed by two of these earlier, but that was just after t…

Cairma left the Ronshor household with a higher head and a lightened heart. Although she was nervious beyond reasoning. It was one thing to be in service tot he Tower, but to dedicate your life to protecting one soul, living only so that they may live. Her resolve was firm, and she had much to say, but she wasn't sure if she would be accepted. She wanted nothing more than a friendship from this woman, and the idea of her living in her head, and she in her's... Shaking her head, Cairma walked the thousand steps into the green quarters with Beast strapped to her back, her Heron-marked sword at her waist and dressed in her best leathers, her weathered hands knocked gent…

Estel silently fumed at her desk, pushing back the burning desire to bash her forehead off the stack of papers covering its dark-stained surface. ‘Light blast those women!’ she muttered in her head. ‘If they think copying bloody histories does anything for my supposed “lack of decorum and discretion” they can boil their goatkissing mothers! I pity the stupid whores that bore them, this is no better than being given penance!’ In retrospect, it seemed most of her thinking was done after the event and after when it would have done her some good, she should have just made Rossa do it by copying her handwriting- her Sisters in all their lauded intelligence had seen it the…

IC: walking into the library Veria smelled the books. It was a comforting smell to her, the leather and knowledge. looking for a particuler book on the theology of the Age Lace and the Creator, she went to a level of the library that she had not been to before. The book number took her to a corner that look as if it had been abandoned. moving books, she unsettled some dust that tickled her nose. Sneezing she blew more into the air. the frount of her dress was becoming covered in the grim. Shaking her head in disgust she found her book. As she glided down the stairs to the ground floor level, Veria decided she would get that set of shelves cleaned up. looking around wh…

OOC: continued from http://www.dragonmount.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4663 OOC2: This is NOT for the light of heart. Elizabeth is a very serious character with very real problems, mentally, physically, and psychologically. This passage goes back to her past, where she remembers being raped. I suggest that you not read this if you wish to avoid reading on this subject! (duh!) Ill give you an edited version if you wish, just pop me a PM. IC: Invited into the room, Elizabeth slipped in, her heart racing with every breath and every step. A few beats into the room, she took a look around, seeing the neat desk, the stack of white, books in a corner, and a desk…

Previously on Free Day. Aran discovers Cairma mopping in the Trainee Barracks and Kalush runs into him quite literally. Heckling the pair he walks away only to bounce off Lyssa. More heckling followed by Team Feminist grabbing him and holding him down. Escape attempted but failed, but in process Aran anchors himself to Kalush and Cairma so he can't be carried off. Team Feminist exploits Aran's previously unknown weakness, ticklishness. After a bout through which Aran barely managed to hold on to Cairma, she asked him whether he was willing to give in. In a heroic and masculine act, Aran stated that surrendering was for women. Team Feminist renews their …

I shall be waiting for you. Such an ominous end. It made her shiver every time. She had read it over and over, with calm on her face that she did not quite feel as she examined the words desperately for some form of explanation. A loophole that would prove her suspicions wrong, for indeed, that would be safer than if it was correct. The writing was small and elegant, flowing over the parchment with ease. She had never seen her handwriting, but she knew it was her. It had to be. Light, she could picture her saying it. With a smile on her face, eyes saying much more than her words. Yes yes, it was her. But how could she possibly verify the veracity of the letter? Look f…

“I can see lights in the distance, Trembling in the dark cloak of night…” Loreena McKennitt .v^v.v^v.v^v.v^v.v^v.v^v.v^v.v^v.v^v.v^v.v^v.v^v.v^v. Something woke her. It was not, as it had been many times during the past fortnight, a nightmare clawing relentlessly to her sleeping self. Perhaps the herbs given to her by Alivan of the Yellow and steeped in her tea had driven them away. Perhaps. Grateful that her heart was calm and her nightrail was not twisted and damp with sweat, Isra swung pale legs over the edge of her bed and stood. Darkness was closing in, cool and silent. And where normally she would have remained awake, staving off sleep with study and c…

The low range of hills stretched across the horizon, almost as if they were a physical barrier between the lands to the south and those to the north. Although they were not that high, they consisted of broken rocks, almost as if some giant had taken a hammer to them and decided to take his anger out on the earth. The early morning rays of the sun did not touch their slopes, and this lack of light made them look all the more menacing, if a natural feature could be said to be menacing. A few miles south of the hills, two figures emerged from the forest, leading three horses, one was obviously a pack animal, but the other two were a contrast in differences. One was almo…
