There hadn’t been a single peaceful day ever since Rosheen arrived in the little village, several miles west of the border with Arafel. Refugees passed her by on their way to that border, hoping to find safety in the borderlands. She would hear their voices. Weary. Broken. Kandor was lost, according to them. Rosheen wasn’t so sure of that just yet. Despite the fall of Chachin, and the hordes of Trollocs roaming the countryside, villages and towns were holding. The army of Kandor was shaking, but their spines hadn’t snapped yet. They could hold. Rosheen had sent some of the soldiers camped in her little mining village to the west, deeper into the country. They were n…

Shawn found it very strange to be outside of Tar Valon. Aside from the occasional trip for training purposes or a horse-riding competetion he hadn't left the city since he arrived over six years ago, and never on his own. Since he was using this trip to get over his memories of Dene he had set himself a leisurely pace. After all, he had no real destination in mind, and very little idea of what he would do. He spent his days riding along the shore of the River Erinin, walking mostly but letting Blaize have his head and really gallop once in awhile. He stopped early and got up late, and found that he had way too much time to think. Going at this lackadaisical pace …

Lyssa sobbed and pushed the hair from her eyes, Light is it ever worth it anymore, everything she had ever loved was gone, everything she had ever dreamed of didn't work out. My mother hates me, I came here to be one of the great Aes Sedai and then I disappointed her by not being able to channel. Then I lost Solin, Blood and Blood Ashes, my own brother became a darkfriend. She grabbed a lathe from the stand and began pushing herself into the forms, harder than she ever had. It was pouring down rain and the yard was slick with mud, she was the only person out, save those on guard duty on the walls. My mother hates me, she won't be my Aes Sedai, I am going to die a worthles…

A New Day (Lyssa) Players: Lyssa and Aran Plot: Lyssa and Aran make love for the first time and it’s the day after, this leads into a spar with Aran, ending in more relations Posted on Dec 13, 2006 http://www.dragonmount.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9282 It felt good to have had a bath, and to have fresh clothes on as well for that matter. He suspected that Lyssa would most likely feel the same as well after their ‘catching up’. That had started somewhere yesterday afternoon and now it was late lunch, they’d taken the opportunity while everyone would be in the mess hall to go and clean up…

M'bela sat aback the horse looking towards the training field then spured the mare back towards the ranch. Her hair was hanging loose for the air to play with. Truth be told she was starting to get bored even in this place, it was sort of dull to her. And she rained into a halt infront of the stable. Tying the horse to the fence she unsadled it and rubbed it down before leting it go into the padock. That she was reduced to riding for fun spoke volums, she didnt mind horses, and truth be told they had their use for transportation. Preferable to walk at least, but there should have been bether ways. She picked up the sadle and reins before heading into the stable, hangi…

So, Storm, you've watched him as much as I have, do you think he's ready? He's as ready as he's going to be Mountain. if you don't push him now he'll never learn what he needs to be one of us. You're right as always. Well, let's see how he does with the next phase of his training. He should be starting right about now, I wonder how long it will take him to find us. Cresting a rise Burrich left the worn trail and plunged into the dense forest, careful not to leave any sign of his passing. In this John and Owen had taught him well and he moved through the forest like a ghost. It was nearing mid morning when a roaring sound caught his keen hearing and he beg…

  10. OOC: this is my first ever RP post so if its a little weird and choppy forgive me, i will however gladly accept any pm's with pointers Geldon was wandering the streets of Tar Valon looking for the armory and his mentor "Anwashawn Ellasser" he was called. Ginae, the mistress of trainees sent him on this search to find his mentor. He had waited so long for this moment, to begin his training to become a warder. He had finally found the armory in the warder yard itself, which would have been nice to know in the first place, after about an hour of searching and Master Thewen pointed him in the direction of a man who appeared to be sweat drenched and working hard on wha…

  12. The city of Ebou Dar buzzed with life and energy that was familiar to Telcia. She’d seen the city as a girl, it’s harbor full of illuminator’s lights casting a rainbow glow down upon her and her first love and now… her she was, with Iussi. The children had long ago exhausted themselves watching out the windows as the world rolled by and now slept peacefully, each with a head on their mother and father’s laps respectively. Quietly they road, Telcia’s fingers playing listlessly in Jamal’s hair as he slept, both their minds wandering to what they would find at Iussi’s home. She hated to admit it but she had a fair amount of worry of this meeting too. What if Ius…

Many days had passed since they had met, and during that time the two that were traveling together had gotten to know each other alot better. Dautry had pummeled Anton with a great deal of questions along the way, and while Anton had answered best he could there were still plenty of things he wasn't sure whether it was his place to speak of. Sages were much better suited to answering questions, they had tended to have a way of explaining everything about the Wolfkin that Anton hadn't quite managed to grasp. Then again, that was part of what he wasn't a Sage, it didn't suit him. But then, that was why today was an important one. Today, Dautry was going to see the W…

A pale full moon loomed over Tar Valon on the warm night that two men stood in a certain glade. This glade that was no more than thirty feet in diametre was one of the many that littered the Ogier Grove, one where people often met to escape the eyes of others, to share secrets and on occasion to resolve matters with a blade. While it was in some ways too obvious to be secret, those that frequented it were often too busy with their own business or unwilling to intrude on others that they avoided others rather than satisfy their curiosity. When it came to a pair of men that were in the glade for the three aforementioned reasons, it was also because disturbing such busine…

It took her surprising little time to become used to the smaller blade that was given to her as her moved up in Rank. The Blademasters blade was barely a third of the weight and size of the zwhielander that she carried with her and the Heron Marked sword swung with a great ease that surprised even Cairma despite knowing all along that is would be to such effect. But she wanted to know if it would be enough. She had seen the look in Brands eyes when he presented her the sword, and it was a look that challenged her way of fighting. Few picked up the larger sword and catered more to the speed of a smaller blade. And even as she moved through the forms she felt the missing we…

ooc this is in the setting that the dreadlord intiate class is visiting M'bela stroke the mule of the horse slowly, she had been walking around the place to strech her legs. The intiates had practise in the morning and evenings, with the middays when the sun was on the hotest free. It was two days past their coming here and she quite enjoyed beeing out of the fortress. She smiled as the horse drew back and then studied it as it made a short run across the field to join the other horses. Closing her eyes she tilted her head back to let the sun caress her face as she listened to the sound of spring. ________________

Orion waited patiently, standing beneath a tree outside the grassy area that he used to train all of his students. He had begun to come here less and less as his students fell to only Mors, Aramina had been taught all she could from him and had snce gone back to the Tower. But now he had been assigned another student, another woman from the White Tower as well. Though it felt good this time. With the success of Aramina, and his lessening of self contempt over his blindness he no longer feared having a new student assigned for him, no he had begun to enjoy the lessons. They were as much an escape from his worries as they were a lesson for his students. His outloo…

Opening his eyes, Aran got to his feet and stretched. He'd been meditating for quite sometime as he laid back on Fayth, thinking on number of different issues. He liked to take time with problems where he could, though he rarely came to permanent conclusions. Permanent conclusions made it harder to think on one's feet, but if one didn't accept anything completely, then it was easier to change one's mind when they had to. Of course, the price of that was a lack of complete certainty, but Aran made do with complete certainty in himself if nothing else. But, as he began walking towards the armoury, he had made a decision about something. He needed a weapon, one whic…

  21. That's lucky, because Dilora Fashelle is looking for customers! I had a little RP bubbling in my mind last night where Dilora, my peddler, meets a male channeller and mistakes him for the Dragon Reborn because she sees him do things. I was thinking she could run from him at first, being not precisely scared but more cautious, and then running back because she realises the opportunities she could have. Its a bit of fun and it'd be nice to have some contacts with the Black Tower too. (particularly from Dilora's point of view - contacts everywhere, you understand :D) Dilora is currently in Caemlyn, then heading north for Tar Valon, but I'd be just as happy to do thi…

It had been a few minutes since Lillian had received a message to report to the Mistress of Novices office. She couldn't think of anything she had done that would merit having to see her, unless someone had made a complaint. There was no reason for that though, at least as far as she knew, and her magnum was still safely tucked away. Perhaps Melindhra was in trouble? Lillian doubted it, Melindhra as far as she knew didn't get into any trouble and she'd certainly had no problems with her mentee. In fact, Melindhra was doing quite well, unless there was something the Mistress of Novices wanted her to pay particular attention to? Standing outside the door, Lillian t…

A cold and blustery north east wind blew down out of Dragonmount and across the short expanse of land to lay siege on Tar Valon. It's icy edge bit through clothes, tore at flags and swirled the freshly fallen snow in white twisting funnels. Lead window casements that had rattled most of the night still danced to the winds guidance as Corin sat at the writing desk in his room. Today would be a very new experience for some of the trainees that would be venturing out on his little training exercise. For others it would be a reminder that they did not know as much as they had once believed. Winter survival training was not a preferred course Corin wanted to teach. But it mean…

Stillness. Blessed stillness. Oh how the troubled hearts of the world longed for it, searching for it in their hearts. People spent a lifetime, trying to find a way to still their hearts so earthly cares would not touch them, if only for a little while. Some achieved it through meditating, others through art forms like painting, playing music or writing. There were those who went to private sanctuaries to simply be alone in that stillness, as if it would somehow diffuse into them. The bloody fools. Stillness wasn’t bliss, it was HELL! Honestly, what half-brained idiot first suggested that calmness and stillness were synonymous? They weren’t! Estel was now …

She had expected that she would feel a swell of emotions upon hearing the word, the new title, but instead, she found herself left in an emptiness that was degrading. It is often believed that if there is one thing a person shall always begrudge another for, it’s concerning matters of pride. Nerome, recently trounced Trainee awoke in the infirmary, with stars dancing in the black and a rather numb lower body. The first thing he thought of was the fact that there was going to be one sorry Accepted if he had his way. Dark haired, rosy lips and those blasted eyes. Pools of only Light knew what, smiling and smirking almost better than he did himself.. “Are you alright?” he asked, bending down and looking at her with concern. He had seen his defeat in those eyes the moment he had gone to help her. Selandre had always told him that for all h…
