Liitha streached as the morning sun woke her through the small window in the loftroom. Oh she did like this place, she had been so lost of what to do with her money till she learned of this place. It had been when she went to get Yazi's shooes changed that she got to hear of it, the daugther of the man she had known for years and always went with her horse to had been widowed. She had remembered the woman as a girl, though she would now be in her early twenties, thugs had seen the end to her husband and loan still on their farm togheter with two kids ment selling the place. Liitha had bougth it and asked the woman to live on there, she would farm it like normal and t…

The troop had grown in size over the years and they now boasted over a dozen performers ranging in age from five years to seventy, plus three that were still too young for the stagework the rest did. Their supplies and belongings were all held in two wagons and they had two other wagons that with short work could be combined and converted into a stage for smaller towns and villages that didn't have a hall or inn large enough for their shows. The women and children rode in the wagons while the men of the group, including Aservus, rode beside them. Varney, Aser's foster father, intended to put as much distance between them and their last host as possible so they traveled…

I just bought a brand new Toshiba laptop from BestBuy and I've finaly buried my old PC. So, this humble RPGer is going to try and come back to the Band, that is, if you'll have me? Hello everyone! If there is anyone. Truth is, I don’t know if there are any active Children of the Light at the moment, but I figured that this was the best place to start finding out, eh? So… Who is still active? Let me know, then we can see about setting some interesting things up. The plotline is advancing, after all, and we can’t let the CoL fade into nothingness before the Last Battle happens. ~Sil

Chachin had come and gone, giving Ayrik Drayven his final hint. Go north. Somebody would meet him. It hadn't taken much to see the apparent fear that the Friends had of him. More specifically, of what he could do. Ayrik himself wasn't too comfortable with the idea. He could channel. He could touch the One Power. The tainted half, saidin. Everybody knew that it had been stained such when that fool the Dragon had sealed the Great Lord back in his prison, a parting gift, so to say. But the seals were weakening, and the Great Lord was becoming stronger. He would break free; Ayrik had no doubt of that. It had taken the Creator to bind the Great Lord in the beginnin…

M'bela looked over the intiates gathered in the hall infront of her, they where going outside the fortress. Checking her list she made sure all was present and then lead the way down towards the cellars, specificaly to a larger room set of for this use. She lead them in and to one side of the room, a Mae'shadar should soon be with them, they could have gone riding but apart from the time it would take it would also pose a risk. It was bether this way, less chanse of nosy discovery from Aes Sedai and such, specialy for their male students, should any of them come to channel where anyone would see it then they would have been sure to have the red ajah on their heels. …

It had been some time since she had visited the wonderous Inn of her mentor's wife. It were during days that Daemon was far too busy with training the recruits that were assigned under him and also mentoring those that have already reached the Red Cloak of the Tower Guard that iwas not uncommon for Cairma to feel the need for a little mentoring herself. However, as much as she had Daemon in high respect, and almost a father-like figure, there was nothing more soothing than a good heart-to-heart with a member of the same gender. Thwere was always something about how Lady Arie spoke that calmed Cairma to her core. And she needed it now, as questions of loyalty surfaced…

I originally had Arath geared toward a shielding talent, but it seems that in my absence, both shielding talents were taken up. Sooooooo . . . I wanted to go for a Create Ter'angreal talent. So I wanted to know if the BT has any ter'angreal for him to study at all. Even should he not get approved for the talent it would make for some REALLY interesting RP's. Anyone know what we have in the bosses office?

She was lounging outside of her small cabin, sitting on a low bench with her legs spread out before her, arms folded across her stomach and her head tilted back so that it was resting against the rough wood behind her. Golden eyes were half closed, her posture casual to a fault, and to most observers she would have appeared to have been dozing. However, there were no observers to come to this conclusion, no one to see her slouching in a manner that would have made any mother cringe, and so she wasn’t too worried about being scolded by someone for ‘sleeping on the job’. Though, she thought with a bit of a smile, that was technically what she was doing, wasn’t it? …

The trip to Tar Valon had gone quickly and smoothly. Along with the Aes Sedai from the inn where Mirandha first spotted them, 3 warders also accompanied them. There were several handmaids as well, but Mirandha was trained to disregard them. The Aes Sedai took turns teaching her each night. They would never test her themselves as that was a job for the Mistress of Novices, they said; whoever that was! However, each night they talked to her about the White Tower, what it is to be a novice, and about the Aes Sedai in general. One of the Blue Sisters even let Mirandha feel the silk fringe on her shawl. She was most fascinated by the serpent biting its own tail on each woman

Saidar - power flowing from the female half of the One Source, with Saidin as its male counterpart, though tainted with the Dark One’s corruption since the time of the Breaking. An Aes Sedai manipulated saidar, surrendering to its river of strength then channeling that river to her own ends. What was surprising was how little these movers and shakers of the world understood about the very source of their power and control. It could be said that, even after centuries of use and study, the exact nature of the Power had not revealed itself, but slid enigmatically through the fingers of any scholar like so much sand. Similarly with Carise Doraile; it vexed her to no end…

Even for an Aes Sedai veteran it had taken less than five minutes for the infirmary to get too oppressive. It brought too many memories; firelight and blood on her hands, like red ribbons in the water, she had always hated seeing children in pain. Her sisters in gold had taken the survivor in and he’d get no better care anywhere than with the Yellow Ajah, so with the Light’s luck there would be no more deaths tonight, but what a bloody mess. Defenceless children assaulted inside Tar Valon’s walls while the Tower slept! So much for the protection those trainees were entitled to. Rain sheeted down the windows and matched her mood for greyness as Sirayn made her way thro…

-shift- The battle raged around him. Encased in the void, Arath felt no emotion as the bodies piled up around him and his comrades. They were incredibly efficient at this work of death. Efficient, but no perfect. Nor invincible. He lost the void as the spear bit through his shoulder. In pain he wheeled around to face his attacker. In shock, he recognized the face of his father... -shift- He was in his childhood home, still facing the father he once knew. The father he had hated so. The spear had changed to a club, and it rained down mercilessly on Arath's child body. Crying and whimering, he pleaded for it to stop. Suddenly he was older again, and he …

The crowd at the dinner table was much lessened from yesterday since Con had spent the day searching for a house for the men. He had been successful so he must have paid a nice sum of money for it and/or promised favours. There were no empty houses in Perfumed Quarters and every available inch already held a building full of people. Aside from occasional string of conversation everyone focused on emptying their plates to get energy after day of work. Arette passed Con a bowl of vegetables as he had already made through the first portion and their hands touched and held for a moment. They stared each others smiling and Arette was more than relieved that they could interact…

Stepping off the gangplank, Con Stavros inhaled the aroma of the bay deeply. To most outsiders it was a rank stench, and after being so long away he had to admit that it was a little harsh on his nose, but it was home. It had been what he had known and after so many years, it seemed that his life had come full circle. He had left a young youth wanting to escape the fishing nets of his family for something better, now he returned and fishing nets were dreamy in comparison to what he had found in the world. Well, not entirely true, he had found Arette and he would have to send word to her that he was in Illian, hopefully she would come to him. "How does it feel to b…

It was well past midnight but Arette and Calvin were still trying to find Stavros house. They had actually stopped at a shabby dock tavern and Calvin had went in to ask instructions. It had taken him a while since people in the Perfumed Quarters weren't welcoming of outsiders. After some talking he had finally managed to convice them that he had a word for Electra from her son and they had gotten the directions. Having to cajole for the information and even thinking of Con hadn't exactly lightened his mood and Arette's hands were starting to go numb from having to hold both the girls who had grown alot in the past months. Thank the Light they were still sleeping. She…

Sasha had come along way from Tarabon. The road had been hard and dusty and her horse had passed away nearly half way there. The man claimed the horse was old but sturdy but he'd lied and Sasha had lost a fair amount of coin on that steed. But life was such and Sasha carried on walking until she found another town that would sell her a horse. The mare was young, she'd looked hard for a young mare that would be sold. Sasha had walked for days before finding on. She guessed it was the price you paid for being picky. But the city of Tar Valon was now in sight and Sasha was happy that she'd finally get to see Lyv again after such a long time. The city itself was a …

It had been a week of nightmares for Arette after the bond to Con had snapped all the sudden one late evening. He had been still in Amadicia, but that was pretty much all she had been able to gauge, so different the trace was to Warder's bond. There were a dozen explanations of what could have happened, but only one was the logical one. He was being Questioned and since he hadn't already sent a word, the verdict must have been an ominous one. Still there was some hope left, maybe it was bandits or a thief or... Willamina wouldn't participate in her guessing games and merely kept her busy. But no matter how hard she drove Arette, she found it hard to catch sleep at nights.…

OOC: Haven't RPed anything in a while for the Yards, and need something to do. IC: Nuitari woke up, and reluctantly got out of his bed, dressing slowly. He'd been trapped inside Cema's quarters for nearly a week, while she went off and did whatever she did. Opening the door to his room, he looked out into the sitting room of Cema's quarters, and scowled sourly at the cat sprawled on the back of a chair. He missed the tamed wolf, Ata and he had found and kept so long ago. Walking out slowly, he touched the hilt of one of his katana's before dropping his hand and looking away from the cat. Walking around in circles around the room, he paced while he thought. …

She could hear the click clack of horses’ hooves on the cobblestone as the carriage rolled to a stop in front of the Player’s Den, not that it was known as such to people outside of the small circle of thespians and artists that lived and gathered there. To passersby it was merely a two-story town home of average wealth and size. Inside, however, it was a decadent den of artistry and indulgence. Participation was by invitation only. An invitation was granted only to the exceptionally talented or exceptionally beautiful. In most cases, it was both. Margurite Lucia was the latter. Hair of the highest copper fell in waves down her back, a stark contrast to the porcelian…
