She traveled all night and all day in order to make sure that she was far enough away form her home before camping again. Thoughts of the past and of every thing else that had been happening played over and over in her mind as the time passed while she was riding. There was some thing strange about how her family was acting now, and she could not seem to put all the pieces together. On several occasions there had been mention about her not looking like her mother or her father. Although it was distressing she had never really thought about it at all. Now it was right in front of her because there was the possibility that those comments meant some thing more than just idle…

The storm came hard and fast, swooping down on the unsuspecting Tracker and her companion with a fury that had Janna wondering if she’d offended the Creator in some way. Within moments her clothes were soaking, plastered against her like a second skin and she could barely see a few feet in front of her, despite her acute eyesight. Though harsh the rain was warm and to Janna’s surprise Silver was not afraid. The poor pup had an intense fear of storms, mostly the thunder, Silver would quiver and shake, press tightly against Janna and welcome soft strokes and comfort. But this storm was free of the dark rumblings and the flashes of lightning that followed. It actuall…

The smell of brine and tar was heavy in the air, along the coast of the Sea of Storms many vessels sailed hither and yon bringing goods and trade to the coastal towns and villages. There was much gold to be made on the water, in lucrative trading. Yet not all the money made on the Sea of Storm’s and beyond was made by legal means. Smugglers and worse slithered along secret ways or flew false colors to make their daily bread. Yet worse than smugglers roamed the Sea of Storms, Pirates… brigands of the sea, corsairs and blackguards every one of them, murderers and thieves. Some worse than others. “Belay that talk ye light burned wretches, silence on deck!” His voice a…

Janna tossed restlessly in her bedroll, sending blankets asunder and crying softly in her sleep. Beside her Silver whined anxiously, tilting her head and watching her human companion grapple with the demons of the past. Dawn was still hours away and the young pup had a fair idea of what the Tracker dreamt. Chime would awaken bleary eyed and somber, memories of Wind a tangle. Two legged’s are so silly, the cub settled her head between her paws, golden eyes intent on Chime as she struggled. They know only today, cub. They live in the moment. Silver’s ears perked and she raised her head slowly. Beside her Windracer sat grooming himself, delicately licking his…

... so I've got this bad guy who needs to do three things as I understand it... Choose a Career, what I am leaning towards is Assassin, but my be skewed to Soldier. Choose the Shadows Side - which I need to think up some sotrt of plot for (and am open to suggestions.) and something I just want to do, which will likely be a WS RP or some such thing, as soon as I know what my WS is. So what I am looking for is just a wee bit of help and some folks to RP with.

Cema found herself walking down dark hallways only lit by the lightball she held infront of her and the moonlight flowing in the windows. She looked out every now and then up towards the stars as she walked. She had reported to her head and it would soon enough be morning as over half the nigth has passed. She allowed herself to sigh silently to herself as no one was around, she was walking into another round of questions as her feets tread towards the blue quarters. It was not often she where up here but she had once been here in another dealing and as such knew where one of the blue sitters rested, though when she had been here last the woman hadnt been sitter. None…

It's a little late, but I make a habit at this time of year of sending out a little love to all our fellow DMers. I truly hope you've all had a prosperous, happy and safe year, and that DM and the BT have helped to bring a little creativity, inspiration and enjoyment to your life. Unfortunately the last month or two have been very busy in real life for me and I haven't been able to give my 100% around here. I hope to make an effort to pick things up in the New Year. The DRPSW may be taking some new direction into 2007 and I look forward to the possibilities and mayhem that will eventuate for the Black Tower :) Wishing you and all your loved ones the very best …

Continuing of 3 posts. Basic Sum - Cairma requests time away from the yard to study her forms. Aran tags along to get out of the usual, and the party is then joined by Lyssa. They are in a meadow a few days south/east of Tar Valon where Cairma has her swords out to practice. Lyssa aproaches as Aran is bored and asks Cairma questions.

Alright peeps - I gotta take a LOA again. Work and RL requires more of my attention, with some recent changes happening at my job. Just mark me up as inactive, since this'll last a few months. For those I have posts with, my apologies. Email me at megwalsh79(at)gmail(dot)com if you want to hash out any details for "rp resolution" if the RP will be a part of your char's plotline.

Ah yes.. tis the Wolfkin’s Christmas Fancy Dress Party *Steps up to the podium where a spotlight lights him up, revealing a very stylish Christmas themed outfit. She had kicked the covers to the floor where they lay in a tumbled heap while one leg and an arm hung limp off the side of the bed. Her breathing was deep, her face hidden by a curtain of dark curly hair. Windracer approached the bed sniffing cautiously. Janna was never in the best mood when first roused from sleep. Chime. A questioning grunt answered him before she rolled away, stuffing the pillow around her head. Chime She burrowed deeper into the corner one hand grasping blindly for the blanket she’d kicked away earlier. With a disgusted sneeze Windracer bounded onto the bed, his cold nose searching. Janna gasped and shot upright, “Wind!†Playf…

  15. Started by Sirayn,

Icy water shocked her into focus and chased away the last shades of sleep. As the surface stilled the image resolved once more, like a mirror shattering in reverse, and gave her back her own reflection. Her night had been disturbed by ghosts she hadn’t laid to rest, the price of too long a life, but nothing disrupted her Aes Sedai serenity; her image looked back at her, timeless and impassive, and showed her nothing. It satisfied her. Her job this morning required all her concentration, if she didn’t keep her wits about her she might miss an opportunity to secure herself and her people, and to show any feeling would be as good as giving her enemy a lever on her. Outsi…

  16. The little fire that they had stoked up was merrily crackling away. They had been in the Braem woods for a little under half a day now, and Rosheen could already feel herself relax. The last few weeks had been pretty stressful. Light, the past few years had been pretty stressful. Between handling trainees, and taking on more students who wished to know more about Misdirection and Balance, she had scarcely had a moment to herself. That was where Aran came in of course. Ever the helpful friend, he had taken notice to her troubles with focussing, and had suggested a short break from things. Under the guise of a mission to Caemlyn, they now found themselves in the Braem w…

  17. The old Green and her once-mentee marched through the halls of the Tower. Well, Kaylan marched - or perhaps it would be better called a stalk - and Jaydena sort of glided in that graceful way that Aes Sedai were supposed to walk. It seemed to Kaylan that they were probably on a fool's errand, that the Amyrlin Seat had no doubt already been approached by no less than a dozen Sisters trying to curry favour. She cared little for how Sirayn viewed her - the blonde Aes Sedai could still remember both her Amyrlin Seat and her Ajah Head as wide-eyed girls. Well, she probably would have remembered them like that if she'd ever paid much attention to the novices and Accepted -…

  18. Started by Jaydena,

Jaydena watched the river rush by in a torrent and wondered what would happen if she just jumped into the river. Just let it all go and took her life once and for all. This life that had become a total and complete farce. How would it feel to die, to take her last breath of air. The sweet agony of her lungs bursting as the water took her in it's deadly embrace. Would it hurt, could it hurt more than what she had already endured? She seriously doubted anything could hurt more than that. Who knew so many years ago when she had been innocent about love and the matters of it that she would become involved with another woman and end up being betrayed by that woman. Light if sh…

It had taken them the better part of two weeks but they had reached Caemlyn, which meant they still had about five weeks before they reached Whitebridge at the solid pace they were keeping. Not that Aran minded, this had allowed him to visit the taprooms of every establishment they had stayed in. Amongst other things he was able to gather news while he was there from travelers and rumourmongers, which kept him fairly well informed as far as rumours went. There was the fact it gave him a respite from the Aes Sedai as well. Not that they annoyed him, in fact he was rather enjoying his time with them, not that they could necessarily claim the same. In particular, She…

It was late when Anton had gone to collect Sohvi from Leila. The two had spent some hours together, the pair had needed to become acquainted and it seemed that there had been some progress. That is to say, Sohvi had been sitting down with Leila and as far as he knew she hadn't bolted on Leila yet. A good sign, and with time she would hopefully become acclimatised to the others. Well, maybe Burrich would take longer, they'd passed by him as they'd gone to his home and her fingers almost bored their way through his arm as they walked past. Still, he hadn't been that much better when he'd first seen him either. But appearances were deceiving, he was no Aiel but a gentl…

  21. ~Rossa~ The Aes Sedai droned on ceaselessly, irrespective of the fact that she had already gone over this particular topic about nine times now, using only marginally different words each time. Rossa stifled a yawn, carefully blanking her features so the woman wouldn’t notice, and picked up her pencil; concentrating on taking some notes should help her to stay awake. The only problem was that she found it difficult to take lessons from this particular tutor because of things she had heard mentioned around the corridors and shady corners of the White Tower, and that made it difficult for Rossa to assign any credibility to the woman. Estel Sedai, a sister of the Bl…

It was a rare occasion that Lillian dragged her feet, and despite the circumstances she didn't permit herself the luxury. It had only been a month and a half since her return to the Tower, she had been the perfect model of obedience. After her return from the Farm she had been watched, of that much she was certain. So she gave the watchers exactly what they wanted to see, she worked harder than she ever had before and her manners were exquisite. Over time the watchers would drift away, certain that she had learned her lesson not to disobey the dictates of the Tower. Nevermind that her disobedience had stemmed from a moment of duress, that the moment had passed and th…

It was with a jaunty step that Aran set off for the White Tower. It had been an hour or two since lunch, plenty of time for his meal to settle and for him to think about what lay ahead. Sirayn, one of his newer projects, had proved to be rather stubborn. It wasn't unexpected to find some level of resistance, but in Sirayn's class it had almost prompted her to make a suicidal decision which would also drag down those who served her in the same moment. Aran couldn't really say he approved, beyond the fact that she was being difficult with him, it also said some very interesting things about her. One word in particularly stood out from all the others. Brittle. S…

Obedience. That was what it meant to be damane. A leashed one, one who surrendered their will for the greater good of the Empire. A risk to all those around them yet at the same time a source of miracles and wonders when harnessed for the right purposes. Damane were possessed of many skills beyond their ability to channel, talents as it were that made them apt at certain applications of the One Power. Some could sense metals in the earth, some could make those with one foot in the grave whole again, and still there were others who could shatter armies singlehandedly. Regardless of their talents or abilities, they were the most prized slaves one could find. So…

  28. Eyes High was near. Sohvi could feel him, sometimes a little closer, and sometimes a little farther away. Always a little to the right, in the woods while she and Anton travelled over the empty road. Well, road… she supposed it was a rather big word for such a small and lumpy thing. No wagon could actually ride there. Anton had already explained to her why they were taking this road, and Sohvi was fine with it. Small road meant less people. Less people meant less of a chance to be killed because they thought she and Anton were Demons. Which they weren’t. Not at all. What they were… well, that was a little more complicated. No matter how often Anton or Eyes High had …
