Tyosh’s travels had taken him a long way from the ashes of his tavern, but he could never actually escape the horrendousness of the arson to his establishment. It wasn’t the act that really bothered him; it was the fact that the stone, wood and furniture burned with his childhood memories, happy moments and generations of family traditions. Since the moment he had set his sights on Caemlyn, he decided against taking a straight and direct route. He chose to head for Caemlyn by Whitebridge, but before Whitebridge he wanted to see Baerlon, the more places he visited the happier he’d be. His whole life he had been tied down by being the proprietor of a pub. Now t…

Looking up at his parents, Thadeus al'Dobnan could only sit quietly, as he always did. They would punish him for a month, as they always did. And he would be back on the streets in a week, tops, as he always did. It was not that they were bad parents really, he was just too free of a spirit to be left cooped up in the palace all the time. "...and you are far to young to be roaming the streets of the city. Why when your father was your age..." His mother's voice was only half heard, it was the same thing she had said a million times. When his father was sixteen, he had already learned the proprieties of noble blood, and blah blah blah by bloody-blah. "...when son? …

Sighing, Lillian placed her quill back in the inkwell and stacking her things neatly, put them aside. Standing, she located her comb and began touching herself up. It was only a few hours after lunch, but her meeting today was particularly important. Her mentor occasionally organised such meetings, where Lillian met Aes Sedai of various Ajahs, all to learn more about those Ajah and the nature of their role. In this case, she was meeting a sister of the White Ajah, Aleanda Sedai. She had yet to sit down with a sister of the White, so all she knew to expect was what she had gleaned from classes and those around her. That the White Ajah were concerned with philosoph…

Well, you could of course start with reading this. And after that, you can save all your rp's from now on. I know I will  As many of you have noticed, there are posts missing on DM. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the posts made from Sunday Dec 10th to Thursday Dec 14th are gone. Eaten. Descended into oblivion. Lost forever. We shall weep for them, for they were glorious. *sighs* Anyway, we understand that this may bring on more trouble than some people might suspect. Like with your training. What now? posts were lost! Nooooooooooo but don't despair, oh TG's and Warders among us (Trainees, you need to get this confirmed with TaeaDawn, but she mi…

It hadn't really quite clicked until the night before. Somewhere between drinking, tossing daggers and laughing at Marie as he was winning that in his search for information about Sirayn, he'd neglected a very obvious source of information. Her 'niece', though the relationship was probably more distant than that, was in his very own company. They got along as far as things went, and maybe she'd be able to help him out a bit. Not that he could pose the same sort of plan to her as he had with Corin, but there had to be some way about it. That was why Aran was meandering through the yard, trying to find Lyssa Simeone. She'd be around somewhere, practicing away as sh…

Hey there :D Because SG is just as warm as it is, we the cuddly people of shiny knives and other such things are inviting all of you to create Bios for the Shayol Ghul Division as we have a special offer up: All SG characters written and sent in Year 2006 shall automatically be Raised to a Tier higher than they would've started off at, which means, that if you are a Darkfriend, you become a Lesser Darkfriend, Dreadlords would be Adept and so forth. :)If you wish to cook up RP ideas of any sort, or need any help, feel free to PM me as we have a lot of big ideas we need a huge number of PCs for. :) You know you want to, ;) Adela Llafynne DF

Cema streatched out on the grass in the lil rough garden all alone, the tower had multiple gardens, this was one who she had adopted as hers early on. Hidden well away in a corner she could be undisturbed here, and she liked how it wasnt perfectly arayed but rather had a beauty of wilderness. Looking up on the skies she remembered times of old, it was in this garden she had been summoned to her arches, the first step towards a lifelong comitment she only had seen 1 other of and that lay in her past befor the tower. She watched the sun slowly travel over the sky and then reach its heigth, knowing she had to get up and move soon, there would be reports as ever to be…

Aithne paced her tiny room and fretted with the ends of her hair. She held out a hand and frowned as it slighty shook. This is foolishness. No one will show up. Why should I expect anyone else to take part in my revenge scheme? She had spent weeks planning it on her own. Now was the time to get others involved. Anonymous notes with intstructions had been slipped under doors (including her own). They were to meet today in the library in the hour before dinner. The Novices were to pretend they were studying for an exam, while they really plotted out an intricate prank. Earlier that week she had written out her plans. She folded the parchment and stuck it to the bott…

Grinning widely, Rosheen stepped onto the branch over the stream. It was a fairly wide stream, and a fairly wide branch, and it was just perfect for what she had in mind. She gave Cairma a wave. “Come on, this is perfect.†As perfect as a balance spar could get, actually. Both of them had lathes ready, and with Aran to as their referee little could go wrong. Well, truth be told a lot could go wrong, but without taking the risks, none of them would ever improve their skills. Rosheen walked back and forth on the branch, getting a feel for it’s flaws and weak areas. Worst case scenario was definitely having the branch break and them both falling into the stream. Bes…

OOC: For those interested….this is the beginning of Mikala’s return. Not sure where this will go, but it’s a nice beginning… Mikala sat on the hill overlooking the stedding. She’d hoped that things would have changed too much for her to come back, that with one look she could leave and not have to have to face a past she’d tried so hard to forget. But to forget was not as easy at it seemed when she left the stedding. This place was her home, as familiar to her as her own face, as familiar to her as the wolf lying next to her. “What am I doing here SilverRose?†she asked as she absently stroked the wolf’s thick fur. Home………… Th…

Not quite knowing what to expect as she made her way to the Warders Yards, Lillian Tremina was rather lost as she looked about for her mentor. Rosheen Tahn Sakhr, he was meant to be around somewhere waiting for her but Lillian had little idea where the man could be. No description, just told to go and find him during this time. Nevermind that there were literally hundreds of men down here, a number of which were rather attractive but Lillian couldn’t let that distract her. She had to find her mentor and hope she wasn’t late, and that he wouldn’t make things too difficult. She hadn’t expected it to be as loud as it was either, with the constant clacking of …

The ground which she sat on was hardly comfortable, but Rosheen was used to worse. After years of travelling with the trade caravan of her parents, and even more years of hard work as a Tower Guard, she barely even noticed the difference between a soft bed and hard rock anymore. As long as it was level she could sit on it, and if it was large enough for her to lie down on, she could sleep on it as well. Right now her mind wasn't on the latter though, as it hadn't been for weeks on end. Ever since she left the Tower. Ever since Lyanna… No. With some effort she withdrew her thoughts from that path. It would bring her nothing aside from an intense longing for the end. The …

Owen had been practising his weapons since dawn in the ranger barracks, he fully believed you could never be too prepared and always believed in sharpening his skills. He worked hard first with his sword then with his axe. After that he moved on to the bow and was just about to start shooting when Burrich entered the room. “Good morning Owen, are we going to start on the next set of lessons today?†“Morning Burrich, it is good to see you are punctual, that is a trait worth keeping, I trust you are well rested and ready for the rigours of the coming day? Burrich nodded his head, eagerness showing on his face. The two men exchanged small talk, bringi…

They had been in the same area for several days while waiting for some one to come, the last village that they had traveled by she had gone in to get some things they needed. It was there that she ran in to some guy in a common room that had some information about a man fitting her brother’s description. What she found out there had her and Shadow Dancer moving fast to try and gain some ground. The words repeated in her head as she sat there by the fire for the third night with Shadow Dancer close by her. “A boy was brought here a few weeks ago, I know the men who were with him and I don’t think that you will find the one you’re looking for. They were head…

Sheets rustled… a deep voice curses. More sheets rustle… the same deep voice curses. There is an abrupt sound of blankets being thrown off a bed, a pause, and then a long drawn out groan, followed by a curse in the same deep voice. Wall is sitting up in his large four post bed seriously considering lying back down in his large four post bed and falling back asleep. A glance out the window tells him that it is already past noon and certainly time that he should be up and about. As his feet thumped onto the floor he was glad that he had lit a fire before collapsing into his bed the previous night. Cold floors were not fun. Padding over to the wash basin, Wal…

((OOC: Sorry it took so long, family emergency kept me away from the net. as far as the Trip goes, sure thing, just let me know when you start it.)) Angelica spent several days resting after her sickness. Not once did she try to touch the source again on her own, knowing that if she did she may not wake back up from that horrible nightmare. The pain she went through in those first hours sent her into such racking convolutions, it felt as if her body was being torn apart from the inside. Sleep came rarely and short when it did come. She spent most of her time staring at the ceiling trying to ignore the pain. She also had many hours to sift through her thoughts and …

Looking upon his band of brigands, Aran was rather proud of the job they'd managed to achieve. They'd managed to chip away most of the sheen and polish the people had. That had been a particular achievement with the Aes Sedai, of which Aran was thoroughly pleased with himself. Oh, other people had done the majority of the work, but he'd overseen it all and was quite happy to take the credit for it. After all, he was the source of all good things. "Well my little troop, we've traveled far enough and, being about half a mile away from the camp as we are, I wanted to say a couple of words. You all look terrible, so you've done quite a good job. Remember that when w…
