Hey...I was just wondering if anyone could have mercy on some newly raised Dedicated *points at self and others with her* and give us one or the other class? Would be great and with people like Ged fun is granted

I was thinking about creating a civilian character for the BT, but I'd like to know what is needed if possible. I'm trying to figure out why I would have a non channeling female character willingly hang around a farm full of madmen. :) I was thinking of playing either an Andoran, Illianer, or Mayener and so far, I have two ideas. One is the "damsel in distress" idea, which is probably overdone and I don't see Asha'man being like knights. The other is that she just ends up there to work. Any ideas?

Everyone’s roads lead to different destinations, regardless of what they intend. Light. Tar Valon was a much bigger place than Rossa had imagined it would be. Even down to street level, everything was as white as the gleaming walls that contained it, the elegant spire of the White Tower appearing as a beacon for miles around to serve as the pinnacle of esteem it held. Her own journey here had seemed more like a pilgrimage: a chance for Rossa to learn… something… anything… from the sisters here as to whether she had any recourse for the death of her family back in Altara, not to mention to try and work out how come the woman that had been at the inn with her ha…

To what do I owe the pleasure..... there were some words that you wish you could take back immediately. Alright, maybe not the words, but certainly the tone. The tone had changed what he thought was supposed to be a rather easy day's workout to a day of grueling conditioning. Ginae hadn't been pleased to hear his words and Ursana had been took sleepy that morning to realize who was banging on his door, or that he was supposed to have been at practice an hour before then but was, until she began said banging, still in bed. That was the way his day had begun. Not only was Ginae his mentor now, but she was the Mistress of Trainees and therefore he coudln't even go to…

Annya stared at the great tower that seemed to dwarf all other building near by. She had longed to be here, even when she had run from home and an impending marriage to a man she didn’t even know. Now face to face with her dreams she was scared and hesitant to put one foot in front of the other. She had longed for adventure, and adventure she had while getting from her home on a farm outside of Whitebridge to here. She had traveled alone and mostly under the cover of night when possible. She had ridden in several peddlers’ wagons in exchange for fixing meals over camp fires and in backs of haymows when she was tired. She had long walked through the shoes she had…

Currently, some of our most active BT members are found in our civilian ranks. Currently, there is not really any scope for 'advancement'/recognition of activity/achievement/etc in the Civilian group. I want to hear from the Civilian players, and also from anyone else who has thoughts, what you think about this. Is it something important to you? Do you have any ideas/suggestions on what we could do about this situation? Or does it not really phase you at all and you're quite happy just RPing your character? I'm keen to hear anything people have to say. Cheers! Dali/Ben, BTDL.

Summer swelters had never quite complimented her skin. Summer heat along with mud and weeds however, now that was particularly bad. And it had swallowed her down in one of those rotten moods Vera rarely indulged in, having seen what they did to people and what the outcome almost always was. Mud and sweat clung to her hair and her cheeks had got that awful red colouring to them that often gave people the impression that she just been slapped very very hard. Uncomfortable, Vera pulled at the hugging banded dress she was garbed in, trying to give herself some air. Oh how she hated gardening sometimes. Roughly she yanked a weed out, trying her level best to keep the mud a…

Hey, I suppose I'm new around here. I think I found this place a year or two ago, when I first started reading the series. I was too confused by all of it, so I left. I am becoming more interested in RP every day, and want to try to be good at it. Warders being pretty much the coolest thing ever, I would like to join them. This is all I have found so far, your box, to email. If you could link me to any more information about you guys, I would appreciate it. Also, I imagine you get a lot of people wanting to join you guys, so if you're very busy, let me know, it wouldn't hurt too much to join another organization. Alright, well message me back if you want. ((this was o…

ooc: *LENGTH WARNINGS* alright, my advanced apologies for my long-winded stuff. The first is the first of about three posts that I need to set the stage for this and cover some ground in the entire Estel/Orion/Matthias plot. I'll PM everyone when they're needed, and Phase three (the part where other people actually get to join so I can stop talking to myself...) should be up Sunday if I keep on schedule ic: Estel sat completely stupefied by what the woman had just told her. Moments crept by. Time seemed to have slowed to a snail’s pace as initial shock took place. The young woman simply sat limply in her seat, her hazel eyes enormous, her mouth hanging open. …

School is starting up for me again, which means I'll probably be too busy to RP, especially in the first few weeks. I'd like to come back and RP every now and then, so I want to keep my character. He can just be a temporary NPC in Ebou Dar or something. Anyway, yep.

Taking a firestone and some dry tinder Aeveryn quickly produced a small flame to light the candles in her room. Some of the other accepted gave her strange glances for not using Saidar for simple tasks like that. But she could not stifle the feeling she was wasting Saidar. And besides, it helped her remember her roots and keep her feet on the ground. Opening her book she considered her notes. Studying shadowspawn had been far more difficult then she had imagined and the creatures of the dark one kept her awake many nights as she tried to puzzle out how they worked and how they had been created. Either that or she felt to ill to sleep. Someone with a twisted mind had …

The cool wind swept down from the Mountains of Mist and pushed back Tom Camorra’s traveling cloak to reveal his Ebou Dari vest and large, bejeweled dueling dagger. Men gave him wary looks as he walked along the dirt roads of Baerlon—an excuse of a town in the backcountry of Andor—and Tom stared menacingly back. Although his temper was considered mild in comparison to most of his countrymen, Tom nonetheless was on edge. Tom arrived in Baerlon yesterday after an arduous journey from Whitebridge by horseback; while completely at home on a boat, Tom, at best, reluctantly rode horses—the road to Baerlon had sorely tested his composure. To compound upon his rear-…

OOC: I'm going to start my character off simply performing in an Inn and I think I'll use some warders and/or Sedai who show up as a reason to go onto the Tower to perform. IC: Davin Dagonet strolled calmly but purposefully through the afternoon streets of Tar Valon, idly twirling his staff here and there about his fingers. There were people everywhere, clogging the streets as they went about their business. Some things never change. He thought to himself as he moved amongst them. Seeking out his target. A target he didn't know of but knew he would know when he saw it. He sought a specific type of Inn. It needed to have a significantly large common room to support en…

Drenn was practically bouncing on the balls of his toes as he went about his early morning routine. Even earlier then usual as Andar had been intent on an earlier lesson then usual. This meant that Drenn's early morning became an extremely early morning and he was up long before the sun. The trouble he'd been having sleeping lately made it much easier to be up in time for his exercises though. It was quite strange though how he was functioning normally dispite this significant lack of sleep. He should be feeling alot more tired then he was. He finished his morning run along with his other exercises as the sky began to glow slightly with its pre-sun light. With that f…

A writing assignment? Deneira didn’t know much of history, but she was pretty certain that no Tower Guard in the history of Tar Valon had ever gotten a writing assignment from the Mistress of Trainees. And why was it writing? Couldn’t she just answer a few questions, or do an errand or something? Anything other than writing a paper... and about respecting an authority, well, this had to be the biggest barrel of fish guts this side of the Caralain grass. She knew full right that Ginae was just trying to make her submit to the will of someone that was down right a stick in the mud. She would like to see the woman deal with insubordinate runts like this in Saldaea.…

ooc: yet another thread to make me die of laughter... god, this is great! IC: Noy walked through the farm. He observed himself, and frowned. It was odd, he had always thought that men who liked other men would look like women. Yet, even though his preferences had changed, he had not adopted a swaying walk, nor did he paint his face or anything else a regular woman would do. Perhaps he was the male half of it, and maybe Ged would be the only one who would turn girly... or maybe it was just too soon to tell. When he really thought about it, kissing Ged hadn't really changed anything about him, although he had aquired a tendency to look at men in a different way, esp…

Covai hung upside down from the branch of the tree as he waited for Noy to arrive for his last class as a Soldier. Well, if he passed this class it would be his last as a Soldier. Scanning the surrounding woods as he waited, Covai wondered if the man was lost. Covai shrugged. He had been hunting in these woods since he was Dedicated, and knew most of them like that back of his hand. Not that many people spend all that much time looking at the back of their hands though... Covai thought as he felt one of the wards go off to the left of him. Turning his head to the side, Covai watched as the Soldier made his way to the pile of rocks Covai had left on the ground as a ma…

Deidre had felt Serge grab her by the arm and her first instinct was to jerk her arm away. Unfortunately, he had a good grip on her and he wasn't about to let go. She glanced up at his face and wondered why he looked so annoyed with her. She would've thought that he would be happy to see her, and at least somewhat proud that she managed to track him down. He began leading her towards the group of black coated men and she resisted until she realized that he was going to drag her if she didn't walk. He didn't speak to her, which worried her so she asked quietly, "I do be wonderin what you be doin here, an why is't you be with them? Is't true?" She prayed for him to…

It was early morning, and the sun had only just dawned on the Fortress of the Light. The few windows threw squares of light against the walls of the corridor, which almost gleamed white in the sunshine. Guelamin walked down the corridor, passing from light to shadow and back again. Several Children walked the halls already; many had duties early. As did he. He turned from the corridor into the trainee's barracks. There had, he was given to understand, been a fight between three of the new recruits yesterday, and he had been given instructions to punish them for it. Normally, such a thing would have been a province of the Drillmaster. The fact that Guelamin ha…

Dedicated Training RP: Weapons Training The sun was piercingly bright this morning, as it reflected off fresh snow that covered the Tower grounds and buildings. It seemed as if there were no shadows, almost, with light being cast into even the darkest corners of the Farm from the cotton white fluffy snowfall. It was good weather, if a little cold, for a weapons class, and Dalinar…
