Despite the fact that she had taken quite a few blows from Vasya, Rosheen hardly felt the pain as Lyv helped her to her feet again, and straight to the infirmary. In fact, she was feeling rather… giddy. “I can’t believe it!†she said, admiring the weight of the heron marked sword. She was tempted to swing it around a bit, much like the average teen dreaming of becoming a warrior. She laughed, enduring the strange looks sent her way by the trainees they passed. They didn’t know yet, but they would soon enough. Lyv shared her laughter. Soon enough. Not that she’d be there… she had every intention of getting very, very drunk that evening, and then she’d deal w…

  2. The trip went well, as trips go. Especially as trips for secret organizations comprised entirely of people that neither trusted nor liked one another but whom one person had sent on an errand go. The city of Cairhein had been reached, no problems had surfaced yet, though a certain amount of scathing looks and smart remarks had been exchanged. Aramina was entirely gratfeul to have made it to the city and to an Inn without one of her Sister's doing something she considered completely inappropriate. Amazing enough considering there were three Domani women with them and two of those seemed to be in a tussle over a man. A man Aramina happened to think worlds of and could …

The weary Brown made her way through the hallways of the tower her braided strawberry blonde clanking softly as she walked. Finally she was home after her adventures in the outside world. She never realized until now how much like home this place felt to her. The multitude of heavy book on her back weighed her down. They had not bothered much until now but she was so tired at the moment she could barely keep her eyes open. Making her way swaying into the library Liara flashed a smile at the Brown sister working at the front desk, before making her way towards the Brown's quarters. Though she did not making then a few more step when a wave of exhaustion come over …

Janna yawned, her jaw cracking a bit with the force of it. Across the fire Wind did the same and then shook himself irritably, golden eyes accusing. Janna ignored him. They had been snapping and sniping at one another for several days, both over tired, both unwilling to rest until they’d contacted their Wanderer. With the toe of her boot Janna pushed the dented kettle closer to the coals, sending sparks twirling into the starless sky. When the water was hot she steeped tea but then left the cup untouched next to the remains of her dinner. She was low on honey and besides preparing the tea had only been something to do, an attempt to try and stay alert. Windracer sto…

Shielding his eyes from the light, Con slowly approached what he was now sure to be the end of the mountain and the darkness. Two days of travel it had taken since the great cavern, two days and they had finally found the way out of the cavern back into the tunnels till they had found this way out. On what side of the mountain Con was unsure of after so many twists and turns, yet out was out. And out would mean no longer close to her. Light, but waking up with her with an arm over his chest and remembering what had happened. Few things had been as agonising yet he’d gotten up quickly and that had only served to wake her. The argument that had followed Con didnâ…

A bag in her hands, Adawyn ran down the street, ready to get in from the rain and into a nice hot bath. The door of the inn was opened from inside by a boy, and she flashed him a thankful smile. “Thank you, child.†He grinned at her, and she bent down, pressing a gentle kiss to his cheek. “If you do that for all the young ladies, all of us older ladies wont have a chance with you.†She winked at him, and he moved back, allowing her to enter as much as she pleased. Shaking out the lower part of her cloak, she sighed, regretting wearing her nice red slippers. She should have known better on a day with dark clouds, but she had wanted to wear the nice shoes becau…

There was something to be said for picking up Aes Sedai as opposed to those who wandered north to swear themselves over. Having had to play the beggar or the vagrant became old quite quickly, not to mention the unreasonable cold of the Borderlands. Not that he couldn't block it out, there was an easy enough trick to do it available to him, but he'd always considered that cheating. There was a reason you could feel whether you were hot or cold in the first place. In the third room on the right of the second floor of The Dove, Michael Daemeau was checking himself in the mirror. A dark red shirt of cotton and black woolen breeches that matched the good boots he wore,…

Perfection of any sort is very hard to achieve. Impossible according to some-there is no such thing as ‘perfection’ and all the rest of that philosophy. Sometimes, it would make sense to her and she would find herself admiring how much sense things can make. Sometimes, it would add up too brilliantly and she’d find herself annoyed and very ready to snap at every foul being to have stood before her and basked in the sun. And then there were others time when she would just wish that things were of illogical nature because they added so much character to one’s life. And then there were other times still when she couldn’t care less. In any case, she had achieved…

Arala moved her hand to rest on the hilt of her sword and was irritated to remember that it wasn't there. She didn't need it, of course, she was just taking a quick trip into town to replace it, actually. But still, she did not like having it. She was a creature of habit, and besides, it made her look tough. She and a fellow der'Algai had gotten a bit rowdy after a few rounds and decided drunken sparring in the mud would be great fun. An errant blow nearly opened her belly and nicked her belt enough that it was useless. At the time, she and her companions had thought it hilarious, mostly because she was forced to spend the rest of the night tugging at her too-l…

Just to let you all know there is some current friction between the rp and community side of DM. That said post at the community at your own risk. There seems to be a totalitarian mentality with the community staff and bannings occur without any checks and balances. I personally weill be avoiding the community at all costs but I felt obligated to warn you all as well. Thanks and don't forget Bubble of Evil this next week. I will be finalizing the outline for all who want to participate.

  11. Covai looked around at the reflection of the Black Tower in Tel'Aran'Rhiod. Truth be told he still wasn't used to the farm in it's present from, which made walking the World of Dreams interesting. Buildings Covai never knew of had been existing long enough to have form, yet they flickered away to be replaced by the streets Covai knew when he started feeling nostalgic for the old days. Old days...Covai grinned sadly. Sometimes the world seems to fly by far to quickly. Other times he'd do anything to make life more interesting and spice things up a little. Speaking of which.... Looking down at the Storm Leader robes he wore at the moment, sliver lightning adorning …

As Aran looked into the mirror, he couldn't help but feel a sense of deja vu. Once again dressed in fine clothes, the ones he'd worn before infact. He was rather proud of his needlework as well, it wasn't obvious that his pant leg or his arm had been convincingly run through by Ginae during his last blademaster ceremony. That had been fun, so much fun, especially the bleeding. And now he'd get to do the same thing again today, because he just loved to have a good bleed every now and then. Shaking his head of his sarcastic thoughts, he set his shoulders and studied his face, putting himself in the right mindset. He wanted to win, he wanted to be a blademaster, he …

  14. Looking around, Deneira slipped into the infirmary. She hid behind a door, watching the Aes Sedai work. She didn’t know what she would say or what she would. How could she have been so foolish for so long? She had gotten lucky so far, but she didn’t want to risk it anymore. She even felt bad for shrugging off Shawn after breakfast. They had been in line, getting breakfast, and Shawn had forgotten something for his mentee, He had run back to the room, leaving her with the trays, and she sat down at their usual table. She heard a voice behind her, talking of the Aes Sedai, and Deneira was about to tune them out when she heard a startling word. Pregnant. She ke…

The mountains cast a formidable shadow over a pass. It edged a long drop into a fast streaming river in the bottom of the cleft. A small party of thirteen, an unlucky number, moved in a column slowly but steadily along the narrow path above the stream. Despite the lack of armour, dozen of them were clearly soldiers wearing white tabards with golden sunburst on the chest, but in middle of the party a dark haired woman trudged beside her horse. They had been journeying for a month already and reached the northern Andor when a message from Iussi, the father of the children they were searching for, reached them. He reported that their carry was heading to Arad Doman and bid t…

The evening had set on the quiet Tower. Perine had spent the entire day in her rooms, going through the endless piles of papers she had gathered there. Various reports from her eyes and ears. Essays from the classes she had taught. She had not even realized that time had passes so fast. Not until all light from her window had dissapeared. She had decided to clear her mind before getting back to the papers again. And she needed something to eat. As Highest of Reds she received many documents that needed her attention, though now that she had given up her Sitter position in the Hall the amount had grown a lot smaller. She had found some bread and cheese in the Kitchen.…

  25. Maldrin sat down beside a tree and yawned. True, he was supposed to be running. But running in circles lost it's appeal after twenty laps. Particularly when you had thirty more to go. And at the hottest part of the day. He figured his legs were strong enough as they are, so they didn't need to be strengthened. If you can outrun people that want to chase you for alleged thefts, then that was plenty strong enough. Maldrin grumbled under his breath, "Bloody lying peddler, saying I'd stolen two sweet meats. I only took the one, the money grubbing goat kisser." That was still a sore point, after six months. He'd never taken well to punishments. Maybe I should stop doing th…

OOC: This is the one you all signed up for. (http://www.dragonmount.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2452) IC: Covai spun the twig around between his fingers as the last few straglers arrived at the clearing behind the inn. Things really seemed to have turned serious whilst Covai had been gone. Whilst it was a fair even turn of events, Covai wanted to liven things up a little bit. After all, if men were too afraid of the taint to live their lives properly, they may as well roll over and die right now. Clapping his hands once for attention once everyone had arrived, Covai stepped forward to speak. "Well thank you all for coming. As you know I am Sto.....Asha'man Cova…

Eagerly, Carnhain awaited the arrival of the new Cavalry Private. Supposedly the new Bander was the brother of one of the Archers. The young Lieutenant had no idea what this man's skill was with horses, though he hoped he would not have to go over everything. Rumours flew over why the man had come, but Carnhain disregarded most of them. However, his deep curiousity sought to satisfy itself and answer a few questions. As the man approached, Carnhain assesed him- tall, good muscle, obviously Saldaen by his features. 'Good, Borderlanders generally know enough about armies to fly through the basics.' "Good morning, I am Lieutenant Carnhain Stromblade." The Caval…

  28. Rurak woke early in the morning as was his pattern. He always liked to catch some time out on the range early in the morning. It was the perfect time to be alone and just think while he rythmically pounded away at the targets down range. It was a nice day, with a slight breeze coming in over the Mountains of Mist. His pattern was tight after only a few rounds, so he drifted down range to the further targets. It was amazing how much his shooting had improved just in the span of time he had been with the band. The daily shooting sessions had really improved his range and accuracy. Now though, it was time to share some of that knowledge with one of the newest members of the …
