Mia strode across the fields outside of Tar Valon, heading towards a small rise in the ground where a command tent had been erected. The day was bright, with not a cloud in the sky, although that was likely to change over the case of the day’s events. In the field in front of her the Tower Guard was preparing for battle. So I am in Alabama, Birmingham to be exact. An F-4 or F-5 at least mile wide tornado struck here yesterday in the late afternoon. Early morning a few tornadoes came through, and we spent 5am-8am in the basement. Schools started late and were forced to send students home at 10:30 due to the large tornado coming later. Family in Mississippi had the barn collapse on the tractor, lots of trees are down. Friends and family in Mississippi and Alabama have lost their homes, we have people staying with us now. It had been a week since Shinon and Luna left Arien. Since then Shinon had noticed things about him were changing. His senses seem to have sharpened since he left home. They had been hiking through woods next to the town they had passed the day before. Shinon had been trying to trap him and Luna a rabbit for their supper when he tripped over a large root. So A Game of Thrones premiered this past weekend (which is awesome, by the way), and it was really great to connect faces to the characters I've read about for years. And it got me thinking, how do other people imagine their characters? Do you have a celebrity in mind when you write, or do you have an original face floating in your mind's eye when you rp your character? Also, where does your character's personality come from? Evelyn sat on the ground in the training yard, meditating. It was becoming more and more of a habit for her to have private sessions with one recruit at a time, instead of a group, because recently recruits seemed to trickle in, rather than arrive in chunks. And it was starting to irritate Evelyn to no end. Not that she didn't take joy in breaking recruits, but it seemed to be more enjoyable in a group formation.
