That time again. I am considering moving hosting providers again. This means I need to know what's being used. Are ya'll still using http://whitetower.aliciawilkerson.com/ Please let me know if you are still using it so I can make sure the transfer is completely if and when I change hosts.

  2. Started by Jagen Sedai,

I need sort of an update on the RP side of what might be happening in the world, and the White Tower. I want to make sure not to miss anything in my intro RP, where my Red Sitter has been gone for a while before coming back to the WT. Besides the last major RP I was in, where Red Sisters bonded Asha'man, (or vice-versa), is there anything significant concerning the WT or the world that Jagen would learn about upon her return to the Tower? Also, how long ago would anyone say that took place, ICly? Is there a time line that is kept up to date that I can bookmark? I saw one on the WT page but I don't know how updated it is, and I can't seem to find it again... And is…

  4. Started by Kathleen,

Sat atop a rounded stone jutting out of the middle of the village-sized span of debris, Kathleen took a rumpled page of paper from her waistband, flattened it out upon her lap and began to write a report back to the White Tower on the day’s events. Report to the Head of the Green Ajah I arrived at my destination to find, as I had feared, that the town council had waited too long in contacting the Tower for assistance. Tensions were hot enough to spark a flame without saidar and the time to cool them with words had long since passed. By the time I arrived the action was well underway and many of the council had already been lost to the fight. I was too late aga…

  6. .. Returning Echoes of the Fall of Manetheren .. ►▼◄ A week had passed since his return to Tar Valon - the famous City of the Aes Sedai located by the river Erinin and within sight of famed Dragonmount - from the Borderlands, after his Warder-Bond had been released by Kathleen Sedai of the Green Ajah, a woman of great integrity that he respected much but to whom he was alas no longer Bonded. It had been only a week but it felt more like a month - and for Elessar of Kandor, experienced Warder of many years, soldier, advisor, friend and ‘Warrior-Poet’ at heart, it had passed in a kind of haze. He had practiced his sword-work daily in the Warder’…

  7. Started by Sherper,

Ellisha breathed, drawing in the scent of the Tower around her – its multitude of voices, the sound of shuffling feet and the aroma of freshly picked sun flowers. As much as he hated its inhabitants, she had to admit the Tower – In its singular form – without all its political and social implications – really wasn’t a bad place to live in. Breakfast was being served down in the kitchens and she noticed a new patch of eager Novices gliding – or attempting to – towards the smell of food. She sighed, letting the tension wash over her, then proceeded to pointedly stomp past the line of Novices. She walked towards her quarters, which was situated exactly one floor above h…

  9. There is something I wanted to clarify, as recently I read an excellent post entitled "Aes Sedai and their Lives" (or something like that) which gave a very good run-down as to why the WT in the books is in the current state it is in. Basically; they keep to themselves, they don't recruit, they don't live up to their Ajah calling (in general). The excellent examples used were: Yellows not having 'healing bases' in various cities, Greens not being in the Borderlands helping to fight the Shadow every day, Reds not trying to heal the taint but only sever men from the Source, Browns keeping to themselves instead of going out and becoming teachers and scientists, etc... And wo…

  10. Started by girt,

The trip had taken a month, and cost a great deal of peace of mind, but finally, FINALLY, Girt stood at the foot of the bridge. Tar Valon. City of the Shining Walls. Well, they were supposed to, but it was a cloudy day. Still, it was an impressive sight, the White Tower climbing into the sky. Now that she was here, though, there was work to do. Girt strode across the bridge, clutching the pack on her back tightly. A novice has no possessions. That is what Unari Sedai had told her. With a sigh, she fingered the necklace, the turquoise dull in the diffuse light. She stalked through town, pausing here and there to study signs. "B-a-n-k" was what she was looking for. She …

Hey all, just posting here quickly to say I'll probably be back to Dragonmount and RPing in general soon. Uni has been giving a real thrashing, and I haven't found much free time recently. Things are beginning to settle down now, so if I left anything hanging just give me a friendly poke. This goes for all Rping groups.

Hello, lovelies! The Green Ajah (or, me in my other hat, since I have the biggest mouth) would like to invite everyone over the Deck the Halls for High Chasaline! We're turning our practice yard into a party place, with a feast that will dissolve into dancing as the sun sets! For reference, High Chasaline takes place in a cold month and is a time for reflecting on your good fortunes. Complainers will get doused with a bucket of water (or a quick weave of freezing cold water, depending on who hears it!), so bring your best happy face! This celebration will be open for EVERYONE to come play... AES SEDAI, ACCEPTED, NOVICES, WARDERS, TOWER GUARDS, and anyone …

  16. Started by girt,

Girt was tired. It had been a long day of talking to Aes Sedai, scrubbing fireplaces, carrying books, getting lost, getting bossed around by Accepted, coming to the Tower, bleaching her clothes, finding a bank, coming to Tar Valon, and tending to camp. Her mind traced back over every frustration and indignity, as she stepped into the room, and stopped, staring, her eyes growing wide. This was her room. HER room. And some other girl's, but who cared about that? HER room! It was practically palatial! Look, there was a bed, with a real mattress, and a little desk that she could put... well, nothing... on, another bed - ANOTHER BED! She didn't have to share a bed! And…

  17. The Manetherendrelle- or the River Arinelle, depending on the person asked- came into view, and Mehrin breathed a sigh of relief. The past couple days of hard walking had been tense, leaving little time for conversation beyond warnings and directions. The river, though, provided a respite. If they had made it this far without being caught by the Children, then they were likely safe for the time being. It would not be too difficult to flag down a ship heading either towards Whitebridge or Illian. Either destination would put them out of reach of the Whitecloaks for some time, hopefully enough to lose himself- Ourselves, Mehrin corrected- to the Whitecloaks completely.…

I figured I'd drop in and say hi. I'll be hanging out on the Turning of the Wheel RP boards for a little bit. Don't know if I'll wander down here or not, seriously don't want to do the whole training thing again. Gets so boring. But we'll see how it goes.

Edana checked the girth on her saddle and patted her horse. She had been sent up here with a few other Tower Guards to relieve a crew until their next shift arrived from the Tower and they had ridden right into a viper's nest. A patrol had gone out checking lines along the Blight three days ago and had never returned. Further patrols found no trace of them. Ed didn't think there was a lot in the way of chances of finding these guys alive, but she could hardly tell that to the tired garrison of Guards who had been manning this post for the last year. They'd had time to rest for a night after arriving and here they were, bright and early the following morning to head out on…

  26. Started by The Don,

At first the stay with the Tinkers was nice, but their way of life tiring to a veteran soldier. They seemed to pity him for his way of life. He had given up wearing his sword around them, but that didn't seem to lessen their judgement of him. He found out later it was the scars, the largest being his missing left hand. He tried to explain that it was the doing of a Darkfriend assassin, and if he didn't kill him then many more would have died, but they only lectured him about their bloody Way of the Leaf. Even trying to explain he had also protected these lands by killing Trollocs and Myrddraal, but their Way of the flaming Leaf even discredited those achievements. He had …

  27. .. The Chrysalis of a Journey North .. ►▼◄ The proud banners of Tar Valon - wonderous city of the Aes Sedai - rippled strongly in the wind atop the huge city walls as Kathleen Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah and her newly Bonded Warder Elessar Telcontar of Kandor rode out of the city and soon onto one of the six majestic bridges, more than a mile long and gracefully arching from the island to the shore, connecting the isle to the mainland. The River Erinin, within sight of fabled Dragonmount, flowed by below, with urgency and intent, and reflected some of the sun's rays falling down from a cloudless blue sky above. Had it not been for the strong…

  28. Loraine hummed, a sound that was not uncommon when she was alone. She was far from it, just now, as there were people milling about everywhere arranging decorations and moving tables in place. A stage had appeared out of a pile of wood not long ago and a mountain of white linens were stacked in a basket nearby, awaiting word on a proper arrangement as the tables were settled. She took a deep breath, turning a slow circle at the chaos around her and letting the smile stretch over her lips. The Tower had been tense, lately. Aes Sedai were coming and going more than ever and Loraine found it hard to concentrate with reports flying in her window at all hours of the night.…

I have decided to forgo updating my other character. i have been trying to bring him back to life and its just not happening, the more i try the more messed up i feel he has become. So... I am curious to ask if there is a group that would be ready to accept a new Trainee to the white tower for a Warder. I have the Beginning of a Bio written and I'm in love with writing his story out, Ive literally written maybe eight pages about how he came to use the weapon of choice, which is a little unique if i must say. it will make who ever trains him have to think a little about how to approach his style, and that was just over my lunch break yesterday. I just need to know…

Back to the Future: The Age of Legends 2014 Empy Awards! That time of year has come again when Dragonmount celebrates the year that has passed and all the fun we have had. As you may have guessed, this year's theme is the mysterious wonder that was the Age of Legends. With homage to the Back to the Future series, the theme is to reflect on the past while looking forward to the future. As the Wheel weaves, what once was will come again. Thus, we have one question to ask: Who are the Legends of our Age? Who will take out the Dragon Award? Which group will win the V’Saine Award? Who can live up to the expectations of the First Amo…
