What's goin on. I'm new to the site, and considering everyone else here relatively new to the whole WoT world. I start listening to the audio books about 2 years ago and, I'll be honest, it took about half of Eye of the World to actually really start to get into it for me. So far I've listened to all of the books and am trying to go through them again and pick up on stuff that I missed the first time around. Please bear with me as far as spelling is concerned as I have only actually read a few of the books. Anyways that's about it for I'm gonna jump into the other forums and make an utter fool out of myself, Jason

Hiya folks. My name is Vinay. I'm a 20 year old guy whos been reading RJs Books from 2004. Yeah I'm new to the books compared to you old timers. But I've read all the books and especially the first seven atleast 9 times (Excluding the times I've read my favorite chapters randomly.) I've been lurking on the forums, and RJs blog for about a year. I share everyone's sadness at his passing. And the happiness that A Memory of Light will be finished. Well, about my hobbies, I love the fantasy genre, who doesnt? And love writing too. My music preferences vary from Alternate Rock to Metal. I hope to be around for more than a while.

Hello folks. I've been reading WOT since 1996 (I was 23 then - you do the math). I've been an avid fantasy reader since I was 12 when my father forced me to read Lloyd Alexander's The Book of Three. I say forced because that's how I used to get punished - grounded until I finished some reading project or other. I had read Homer, Chaucer, Shakespeare, and Poe before I was even a teenager. I guess I got in trouble a lot when I was little. In retrospect, it seems like I spent more time reading the dictionary than the texts themselves. The WOT series has been and still is my favorite fantasy series. I also very much like The Lord of the Rings (the books) an…

I've been reading the various discussions here but what are the orgs really about? And I have a problem with my profile, somehow I dont't seem to be able to hide my e-mail address from public... Would be glad if somebody helped me. :P

Just wanted to say hi to everybody. I am a huge WOT fan but have never posted in these forums before, though I have read them often enough over the last few years. I have been enjoying the 4th Age Podcast since it started as well and figured I should probably start taking place in WOT discussions and meet other WOT fans. WOT is definetly my favorite fantasy series (even surpassing LOTR by a hair) ;D. I have read all the books of course and listen to all the audio CDs over and over all the time at work. A few quick fun facts: Favorite character: Lan (Mat close 2nd) Favorite Book: Still has to be EOTW Favorite scene: Close between the end of EOTW and the end…

Hi everyone! I have been reading these forums for about 2 years now and I finally decided to post and say Hi to everyone. I have been reading the WOT since 2001. I actually started with The Great Hunt so I read them out of order on the first read. I have probably read the series between 7-15 times. I just seen that they have found an author to finish the series. I'm so excited I cant but not smile at my laptop. Well ttyl, I will try to post a theory I have been working on for the voice in Rand's head that I have been grinding on in my head. It has to do with the prologue from TEotW and Rands battle with Ishy in the heart of the stone. Hopefully you all dont beat it up too…

Hello, Well some of you guys might remember me or maybe not. I was around alot a few years back when I was in college. Unfortunately once I got tied up wit RL I did not have alot of time or access to rping. I have recentlyt found myself missing the joy of rping an Aiel raid into another Hold or a Warder's training regimen and forging out with his Aes Sedai into battle. I am looking to get back into the swing of things and create new character and jump back into it. Argono if your still about a Mountain Dance is looking for ya. Anyone have any need for a decent rper??? Deacon

Hello, fellow fans! I was first bitten by the WoT bug around 2002/2003, but just recently I picked up tEotW again, intent on reading through the whole series once more in honor of RJ's memory. Reading them again has started my WoT fever burning as hot as ever! I hope to participate in this community, particularly the roleplaying (if I can figure out how!) Peace! -Khorja.

Been a big fan for about 6 years now, since i first picked up an old discarded copy of tDR at a local church. I originally used this site just to find out about the next book release but I haven't checked it for awhile on account of me moving to Germany in September. So when I came on yesterday at a whim after such a long time to see when the next book was due.... well.... I was pretty shocked and saddened by what I found. Still hurts. But on a brighter note, I read through the blogs and comments seeing the way everyone came together to mourn his passing and I really became interested in the Online Community for my favorite series. So here I am, ready to begin my jou…

Hey, I'm long time fan of WoT who has decided it is time to join the group. while i'm here i might as well get my 2 burning questions out of the way 1.I am in the middle of a VERY lengthy moving process and I have all my WoT books in storage, are there any places online that i can read the books for little or no cost, I know there are plenty of online libraries but all that i have found have been mostly reference materials 2.While I am sure it is hidden in your forums somewhere, can i get a quick simple overview of the future for WoT now that RJ has passed on. ;_;

I've posted a fair bit already, and only now realized I have yet to formally introduce myself. I am called DuDZiK. It's a word one of my friends randomly made up many years ago when creating a new account for a video game we played, and since it's made up and no one would ever use it and the fact that it's easy to remember, I have retained it's use for this long 8) I am a third year undergrad at the University of Toronto, double majoring in History and Celtic Studies (hence the little Scots Gaelic introduction ;)) and minoring in Classical Studies. I have two career goals: Profess in Celtic Studies, or be a fantasy writer. The former is seeming more likely than …

Hi! I'm probably one of the younger people you'll find here on the forums, since I'm only 15. I haven't met many people my age who like reading these books. I tried to join these forums a looooong time ago, but since my computer is old and stupid it wouldn't let me. But, when I decided to try it again today and it let me, I was ecstatic! (I like to use weird words, so there is the first of many you'll hear from me! ;D) Even though I think that the Harry Potter books aren't as mature as WoT, I like them, and on CoS forums I am potatoesrock. It's a good story, whether the writing is aimed at a younger crowd or not! I also like anything Tolkien and at one point joi…

Hello! I'm here! Finally. I started reading WoT between the second and third books, which is now over half my lifetime ago. I've read the series many times, to the point that I have replaced EotW, and want to replace at least four others. And I've always been very careful with books! I've been lurking here at Dragonmount for a little over two years, and finally joined about six weeks ago. All things considered, I figure taking six weeks to poke my head out from under my rock and post something isn't too bad!

Hello everyone. I'm new here to the forums, even though I've frequented Dragonmount.com since my friend showed me The Eye of the World. I love RJ's books and I'm still deeply affected by his death. The WoT is one of my favorite series of books, if not the top one. Despite his death, I know that these books will continue to flourish over the years. I've realized that in every book, I've found some kind of moral to apply to my life. I can take the personality of the characters and compare them to my own and I realize how much each character is fleshed out to be more Human. If anything, RJ has demonstrated his skill at making his characters seem real, and ofte…

Happy Thanksgiving I've been a DM forum user for several months, but I never bothered making an introduction. But I realized that I don't have any friends on DM (which is very sad :'( :'( ) and I decided that maybe someone will like me if I introduced myself... Some things I really don't like on forums are those who can't type properly, sometimes it makes me laugh, and other times it annoys me :P :P So go and eat some turkey, watch some football Bye...

I've been reading the books since I was 15 (1993) and have been a huge fan. I just recently started to look things up online and came across Dragon Mount last week. I've been reading different topics and have really enjoyed what people have to say. I finally decided to take the plunge and register. You guys seem to be a fun bunch and it's nice to see a group of people who enjoy the series as much as I do.

Hello everyone! I've been reading a couple forums for the past several weeks, and it seems to be a really nice community so I figured I'd join up. As my user name implies, my name is Chuck, and I live in South Florida.(Middle Keys to be exact) I work in the IT dept. for the mosquito control district here, and have been a huge fan of scifi/fantasy ever since I can remember. I was first given a copy of tEoTW, sometime in mid 2000. I've read the whole series minus TGH a couple times, and generally have loved it. Just finished rereading tEoTW, and hope to read through the whole series again.(and get a copy of TGH this time around, seems I missed quite a bit there) You …

Hey all, Just stopping by to say hello. I recently picked up WoT and have been blowing through it like crazy. I'm a huge fantasy fan love an immersive series like WoT has proven to be. I especially love a well developed and loyal community like this one seems to be as there is nothing better than a good book then debating it with friends.
