Guess I'll start with the traditional "Hi" I have been a regular on this site now for a while and though I should join, lots of topics here I would like to reply on, so glad I'm finally able to do that :) anyway just thought I'd introduce myself;) see you around;)

I've been reading(and rereading) the books for a long time, so I recently decided to look for for a discussion board on them. Then I found this place! Well the subject pretty much tells it. I'm new to the forums, I found them while looking for a good picture of an Aiel to make a cool sig with. And now to introduce myself. I like writing with proper grammar most of the time. Uhmm... I'm 16 years old, I've only read book 1 and most of book 2, though my dad's read them all more than a few times. Hello, I'm new to these forums. I've been following the Wheel Of Time Series for almost ten years already, but somehow lost interest somewhere through A Crown Of Swords. Recently I've restarted reading the series after I found a copy of Crossroads of Twilight at a Book Exchange in some Youth Hostel. I finally finished CoS, PoD and WH and am now halfway through CoT. The enthusiasm I once felt for the Wheel of Time books came rushing back and I also started reading the old novels again as I recently purchased the first WOT Boxset. I'm a student of Molecular Biology, I recently finished my Master's degree. Aside from the Wheel Of Time Series I'm a huge fan…

Hello, I'm just starting to read the "Wheel of Time" series. Just finished the first three books and am starting the fourth now. I got started on Wheel of Time when someone mentioned that "Eragon" was similar. I don't see the similarity at all. If anything, his writing is more like Frank Herbert ("Dune", "Children of Dune", "Dune Messiah", "God Emperor of Dune"....not the trash put out by his son and Pol Anderson). I would like to thank Kevin Dean for helping me get this started. I've been a fan of WoT for about 3 or 4 years now, and I'm glad I found a site like this, with so many enthusiasts. Like everyone else here I am a fan of WoT and Robert Jordan. I love to discuss the books, storys, plots, and subplots. Hey, I am new to Dragonmount as well as the series. I want to eventually become a writer (fantasy genre hopefully) and I heard about the Wheel of Time series and how it was supossively one of the best series so I bought the first 9 books. I read them and fell in love with them and then finally finished the series (or what is in print at least) 2 days ago. Lots of reading :P.

Hi everyone! After reading all the threads here for ages, the frustration at not being able to reply finally got to me. So many opinions, so little time :lol: First off, I need to say a huge thank you to Kevin for his help when I had problems signing up. Its great when you're able to get help so quickly and easily, he really made joining a breeze. Hopefully I'll get to know everybody a bit better now I'm actually posting rather than lurking in the shadows like Moghedian. But for now I'm off to explore a bit more...there's so much here to see.

Ok, I'm new here and I don't really understand how things work. I don't want to get red-flagged for breaking a rule or something that I didn't know was there. Are there any Dos and Don'ts I should know about? I have already read some of the posts and announcements, but I still don't completely understand. Especially some of the abreviations. For example, RP I think it was? and ORG? And what about those picture underneath your names and posts? I hope I don't sound completely stupid :oops: If there is anything else that I should know please tell me because I feel extremely lost. Thanks!

Then, week before last I signed up and didn't get the email to activate and I emailed and got the account manually activated and here I am. I look forward to talking to everyone! I am familiar with on-line protocol, but the newest post from RJ just got me pumped up. 3.14. PI. Wheel of Time, PI. The comparison just gets my blood going. It seems that the author of this great series is going to make it to book 12. And that 3.14 thing just seems like the greatest irony to me. I had to post that observation, I'm positive that many peeps have before me too ( I have yet to read the forums), but that's the post that got me to sign up. I will now follow protocol and read up, but I had to say that first. And hello to all.

Been lurking here at times, but not registered until today. I love the WOT books, don't remember when I started reading them, but it's been a while as I do remember going to bookstore when TPoD came out and they hadn't even gotten it yet (went there 3 days in a row I think). Most of my time these days is spent at work, with my horse or in World of Warcraft, with some reading on the side. ;) I'll submit this post now and go read some other posts. ;)

Hello, I am humbled to be allowed to post this to the guild but I have read each and every book in the series and I am chomping at the bit waiting for the next. It would be a shame if Robert Jordan cannot finish this series becasue no matter what if it is finished by anyone else it would not be the same. I would still read it because I don't like to be left hanging. I have read a few posts about who should play the roles of certain characters if this series is ever turned into a movie.
