I am about 90 pages away from finishing The Great Hunt, and I am loving this series. I don't have anyone I know who has read this series, so I'm thrilled to be joining this community! I am looking forward to,(hopefully), contributing positively to this forum and getting to know some of you fine folks!

Hey, folks. Dragonmount has been my homepage for over a year now. Recent news of WoT TV rights miraculously getting freed from what many of us were sure is going to be a long legal battle, finally got me to register on these forum. About damn time too. I've been an avid fan of the series for years, since before Sanderson was chosen to step in and finish Jordan's life's work. And boy, did he finish it. I'm currently going through audiobooks for the second time, almost three hours into book 6. Anyway, my name's Jan and I'm looking forward to meeting the fine people of WoT community :)

Hello Everyone, Wanted to say hello and wow! I have only just started reading this series from the late Robert Jordan, I must say that I am hooked. Everything about this series is amazing, characters, plot, story and more. It truly is a captivating series in which you can not put down. I just started Dragon Reborn, so like I said early into this series. It took me years to pick up the book considering all the talk of Brandon taking over finishing the book and the relation to how it was like Tolkien. But I was running out of interesting authors and with the Fantasy genre, I find it hard to get the right one to really sink my teeth into. So far, hook, line and sink…

Hey folks, finally finished reading the last 3 books and figured I should join a site like this. I've read through KoD twice and the first 4 books 3 times. Excited to explore what we have here. Interested in roleplaying as well. I've been a DM for along time and have always incorporated themes and ideas from this series into my campaigns. Just a heads up, I don't have internet at my home as I live way up in the mountains so I only have a handful of times throughout the week to check in here.

I've been spending a lot of my free time lately digging around the internet for signs of life on forums, without much success. It's a shame that social media has all but destroyed this far more engaging form of communication. Well! This place looks relatively active. Perhaps I'll stick around a while.

  9. Started by Kismatt,

Just posting to say Hi! I've been a fan of the series since 1990, introduced at least a dozen people to the books, and have bought and given away about 4 copies of EOTW. I dabbled in the AOL WoT RPG for a few weeks back in the late 90's (jeesh, that was a long time ago) and identify with the Browns, as I'm a sort of history buff. I'm also involved in the Potter fandom, and participate in the recording of a HP fanfic review podcast. Mundanely, I'm a Security Coordinator in Internet Security for a national cable provider, and a sock-yarn-collecting knitter. :) Nice to meet everyone! Waiting patiently for MoL, KellyM

Good evening everybody, My name is Sal. I have "read" all of the books of The Wheel of Time. I put the word read in quotation marks because I listened to the audio and have only technically "read" a few of the books, though I have listened to all of the books (unabridged of course). I love Mike Kramer and Kate Readings' reading of the books and they have set the bar extremely high for me as far as audio books go. Anyway, I have checked out Dragonmount before for news and such, but never posted on the forums until now. I just thought that I would drop in and say hi. Unfortunately, I have found it hard to find people to have discussions about the series with, s…

  11. Hi everyone the name is Serg. I am new to the site and pretty new to the series (Just started book four and am on a binge reading session so finishing them really quick). I really enjoy them so far and want to know where to start in immersing myself in the universe without spoiling anything for my read. I really nerd out and like to flesh out every detail as I go on my journey. Any advise is helpful. Thank you.

  12. Hello all, I discovered the Wheel of Time last year while at work (I shelve at a library). The first book was one of only two that we own and I was lucky enough to notice it as I was putting it away. We don't use special library covers, and this book still had one, which is why I noticed it. I judged it by it's cover, which I rather liked, and read the back and the first page right then and there. I checked it out. Anyway, due to many time constraints, I am still only on book four. Discovered Dragonmount when looking for where in the sequence New Spring should be read. So. Here I am! I probably won't be very active until I've read the entirety of t…

Hello everybody! I read tEotW about 8 years ago but was sad to find that the books were hard to come by here in my country (good ol' Costa Rica). A few weeks ago I found the whole series in audiobook format and Im very happy to dive in again! The drive home has become an awesome adventure. Finding myself wishing for more traffic. Thats how much Im enjoying these books.

I've been finally reading the series again and I have, once again, gone looking for fan art. I'm always quite underwhelmed by what I find. There are some amazing things out there, but not nearly enough. Since I love costuming, I hope to do some photos of the general people of WoT. http://greekgeek12.deviantart.com/gallery/58007487/Devious-Folder

  17. Started by Archaic,

Hey everyone! I thought I should start off here and make an introduction topic. I first heard and learned about the Wheel of Time series back in 2011 from my brother, who had just finished The Gathering Storm. He recommended the series to me and then gave me that book. Not too long after that he gave me Towers of Midnight as well. I didn't have the first books in the series at the time and I was preoccupied with a multitude of other things, so I brushed them off to the side for a while. Eventually I was really bored one day with nothing new to read, and fully aware that it was a later book in the series, I picked up The Gathering Storm and began to read. I became fascinat…

Howdy Lads and Ladies! At 25 years of age, I read my first book around 9 months ago, what some might call a "late bloomer". My passions have always involved Rugby League, Surfing and anything outdoors. I was hooked on Game of Thrones the TV series and after hearing about the differences in the book, I knuckled down and started my first book which then lead into the rest. I then started another unfinished series called "The Kingkiller Chronicles" and found more and more that I love something that has never been able to hold my attention for more than a few pages. After those 2 unfinished series, I decided to take on the WoT, 14 books and being a finished series, I tho…

  19. Started by Jivenrah Sedai,

Hello - Jivenrah Sedai here. New member, long-time reader (since 1991-ish) and fan. Last week I began re-reading the series for the 15th time - out loud to my husband and 7 year old daughter. Doing so made me nostalgic for Randland, so I signed up tonight having known about this blog for a long, long time. I'm so glad to know there are others who still talk about this world and everything related and I want to join in. Anything I should know before going further?

Hi! I came across this site on my lookout for information regarding the new WoT pilot that aired a few days ago. That got me back to reading the series. Though I love the characters and the series I still haven't managed to read all the books, but I hope I will be successful this time around. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and getting to know you!

  22. Started by Elektra D,

Good morning! I cleverly figured that the "Introduce Yourself!" forum would be an ideal place to introduce myself. I'm Elektra, and I'm new to the forum, and I'm currently attempting a re-read of the series before I get to read the two latest books. I'm currently on page 32 of the first book - I have a long way to go before I get caught back up. :) A little bit about me, (critical details and random facts): - I'm in my mid 30s, yet I still feel like I'm in my mid twenties. That is until I spend time with people in their mid twenties and it becomes glaringly obvious that I am no longer in my mid twenties. - I play roller derby, and that takes up most of my free …

    Started by Guest,

Immeasurable sadness akin to the loss of a friend who's passing did not come from the inevitable deep sleep we will all awake to someday, but instead as one we know we have seen walk away for the very last time, the final farewell. The sweet sorrow of a parting well met! I realize that this might sound like I am being dramatic, and perhaps I am, but wow, I am nearly numbed by the conclusion of the series. A story I have read from early on in high school, perhaps around 15 years of age; only to now be finishing as a 28 year old man. I remember browsing the school library where I spent much of my time avoiding doing school work by submerging myself inside the world …

  24. Started by Spider Spence,

I first read the Eye of the World in 1993, and bought each book when it came out, until Jordan died. In 2013 I reread the entire series, Sanderson volumes included, carefully timing it so that I would finish Towers of Midnight just in time to get A Memory of Light and finish it. This last year, I reread the first four volumes, then skipped straight to The Gathering Storm and reread the last three. I was surprised how much I liked rereading the series, given that I had sworn off it at least three times, and come back each time. Like a fool who abandons his lover... or a junkie who can't come clean? You decide which analogy is apropos.

Hello, I'm new to the forum so I might as well introduce myself. My name is Filip and I just finished reading "The Fires of Heaven" a few hours ago. Since none of my friends read WoT I decided to join this forum (and to ask a few questions that have been bugging me :D).

Hello all, My name is Tom and I've been a fan of the WoT series since Eye of the World hit the bookshelves. Every time a new book came out, I'd re-read the previous ones - it turned out to be quite a long read by the time the14th book came out! Anyhow, nice to make everyone's acquaintance and happy reading. Tom

Hello, good people of DragonMount. I'm SleepyGoron and while my main fandom is Nintendo games (like Pokémon and Zelda) I recently got into The Wheel of Time. I'm only 200 pages into The Eye of the World, though, so I'm a bit of a noob and still have a long way to go, but I've heard a lot of great things about the series and hope to stick with it for a long time.

  29. Started by Crossplains,

Hello all, My name is Crossplains and I have not had any Wheel of Time for 48 hours and I don't know if I can make it. You see the main reason I am here is because I finally let myself finish the series after slowly working my through it for just over a decade. Once I started with eye of the world it seemed that there was always a new book to look forward to. Yet you see Friday afternoon I finished reading MOL and when I woke up Saturday morning I realized this was the first time I would not have a WOT book to look forward to. I guess I'm feeling withdraw and I'm looking to get my fix so I'm hoping this is a place where I can discuss the book with other people who …
