Introduce Yourself

If you're new to Dragonmount, stop in and introduce yourself!

  1. Started by StayzKrunchyInMilk,

So ive been a lurker here practically forever. Been checking the site more recently than i used to as i re-read for the A Memory of Light release. I've really been liking the WoT if... posts (they inspired me to make an account finally). My WoT cred is having read all the books multiple times over. Played the pen and paper RPG a couple times. Thats about it hopefully you guys/gals will see mote of me posting in the future. Until then, walk in the light.

  2. Started by 00Pepper,

I'm reading the WoT series through for the second time. For some reason I'm getting more out of it this time than I did the first time! I've been sucked in...I knew it was bad when I started swearing in my head in the WoT fashion. I can't help but laugh when I realize what I'm doing...I finally had to create an account here so I could talk to people that love this series as much as I do. I just read the prologue that was released this month and January can't get here soon enough! I'm on pins and needles!

  3. hello to everyone! i am so pleased i have found a site with fellow wheel of time fans. i don't know anyone who has read more than the first couple :( i have been reeding TWoT for about 2 years now and am about halfway through Towers of Midnight and finding it most exciting! I wish i had learned of these books 10 years ago!

  4. Started by Saken,

I've been lurking for about 8 months and decided I wanted to post, so here I am. I have read all of the books and listened to them all on Audible. Thanks

  5. Started by Adonikam,

Bought the complete box set a few years ago (except memory of light) and I love them! I even went and got a WoT tattoo a few days ago. I'm definately glad I stumbled upon this site :)

  6. Started by theileen,

I've been trying to get an account here for months. my e-mail has been malfunctioning.glad to finally be able to post.

I'm generally pretty terrible at these types of things, but I guess that comes from lurking more on forums than actually posting. Where to start? I've been into the series off and on since the mid-late '90s. I don't remember exactly when, but I came across the big paperback edition of The Eye of the World at a used book store, and since I've been into fantasy since I can remember it was right up my alley. I managed to pick up a few of the books in the series as the years went by, but never managed to get enough of them to progress very far and I can't stand reading things out of order. Yeah, I've got a bad habit of getting into series with a ton of books. Though, …

  8. Am finally here! :))

  9. Started by EHyde,

Hi, I apparently registered for this site a while back, but haven't posted anything yet. I figured I should finally get around to introducing myself. I'm EHyde, you can call me Ellen if you want, and I'm just starting another re-read of the series (probably won't finish by AMOL, but ah well; I remember the later books better anyway). I originally started reading the Wheel of Time in high school, but lost interest for a while, and got back into it after reading Brandon Sanderson's other books. Other than reading, I do a lot of sewing--I really like making costumes. Haven't done any WoT costumes yet, but I should be able to fix that by JordanCon. I also occasionally wr…

    Started by Guest hedsick,

Hi there, Just figured I'd introduce myself here since I've been stalking these forums for a long while. I got into these books about a year ago and finished them all a couple months ago. Also got my girlfriend and 3 other friends to read them all as well. I'm in the process of designing a full leg piece (tattoo) dedicated to WoT and was looking for any input the lovely people of dragonmount would have for me. Obviously, the center piece will be the wheel, and my thoughts are to have asha'man on one side with the black tower behind them and aes sedai on the other with the white tower behind them and their magic going up the sides of my shin, also with implementi…

  12. Hello :) Long long time fan of WOT. I even blame it for me failing algebra 2 in high school haha Super excited for AMoL and want to attend the release party :) Not sure what else to say haha

  13. Hello all. I first picked up the WoT back in grad school in 2005 and read them all pretty quickly, buying new ones as they came out. With AMoL coming out I'm in the process of re-reading all the books right now. It is actually a lot of fun, I sit there in anticipation of events to come and am constantly reminded of things I've forgotten. One minor inconsistency has shown up and I'm wondering if anyone can comment on it. It seems that Aes Sedai captured by the Seanchan can use channeling to harm people. RJ made a point of saying they could not tell a lie, even after becoming da'mane, but it seems like it was insinuated that they are still channeling "hurtful" wea…

Hello for a few years I have been checking this site for the latest news about WOT. I thought it was time to join! Glad to be part of it now. Feo,

  15. I posted once on here, a few months ago, when I heard about AMOL's publication date, but after getting something like 500 views and no replies I was a little chagrined and felt as though maybe I didn't know how to post correctly. I mean, I love the internet and I love Wheel of Time, but I've never been a "Forum Person" (I love capitalizing things). Anyhow, by way of introduction: In 7th grade, I didn't have many friends. One of the few I had recommended "The Eye of the World," and by 8th grade, my best friends were Rand, Perrin, and Mat. A lot of people enjoy epic fantasy for the escape of it, and God, was I one of those. I spent almost every night curled up with on…

  16. Started by Valeria Al'Terra,

So Hello, After finally fully becoming addicted to WoT series, I decided time to raise my addiction to the next reasonable level and join Dragonmount. I picked up the series after my brother-in law introduced me to the series last year and currently I just started book eight! Being a commuter student with an hour or so down the road each day gives me plenty of time to get through the books on Audio, if I had more time I'd be reading them! Either way Hi, I look forward to sharing my WoT addiction with others equally addicted or more so then I!

  17. Started by Tabac Enthusiast,

Just wanted to say hi to everyone, been popping in and out of the site for updates on the books for the last few years, picked up Book 1 back in '96 and have been fairly devoted ever since. Can't wait for the 8th of January, I'm sure everyone's the same :) Glad to be here!

  18. Started by Thom,

Can't wait for the final book. I guess I can since I've waited this long. I'm going to read the whole series a third time. I seemed to connect some more dots the second time around so I'm wondering if I pick up anything new the third time around

  19. Started by Crystalfrost,

So, I started reading the series a couple of months ago and so far I'm in love with it. Anyway, I really want to create a website dedicated to Wheel of Time RP, but I don't know anyone else who is a fan. Anyone want to help me? I'm a Wetpaint User, so the wiki would be a Wetpaint one.

  20. Started by Xarim,

Hey everyone, Just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. I'm 21 years young, finishing my MA in Archaeology in the Netherlands. Big fan of fantasy novels, with the WoT being my favorite. Right now on my second complete read-through, hoping to finish it in time before AMoL gets released. So, if there are any questions I'll hear them coming!

Unfortunately stuck in London so don't get the chance to visit any "Cons". Drive my wife nuts with the books and even considered calling my son Perrin! Thinking about a tattoo if anyone has any great designs I'd love to see them. London Imp

    Started by Guest Thaoden,

So i am Thaoden. Ive been reading the WoT series for 2 years. I finished the first 13 and the 2 extra books last year. The reason i signed up for an account was to buy the Prologue for A memory of Light but the websight will not let me confirm my order. I will try again later if it wont work ill get it somewhere else.

  24. Started by Zackwheat,

Hey everyone! I finally decided that i need to join the fun here on the forums. I've been slowly reading the WoT for about a year now and I'm about halfway through TGS. These books are pretty much the best thing i could ever do in my spare time. I'm glad that there are cites like Dragonmount where we can all get together and be nerdy :) So thanks everyone i can't wait to dive in! -Ben

I've been a member and a lurker here for a long time and never introduced myself. It's awesome to have so many people to discuss and debate with. I think this is the best source for WOT on the internet. The staff seems to be great and knowledgeable and doesn't allow the horsesh!t that goes on with other sites. It's also great that they have the connections with Jordan, Harriet, and Brandon. I'm looking forward to the end of the books. I am 41 years old and have been reading and waiting for over HALF MY LIFE for the last book and the last battle! The main life lesson I've learned from Whee of Time is that after Memory of Light (And A Song of Ice and Fire) I will n…

Hello! Been a lurker here for a long while but thought it was time to introduce myself. I am Christian from Norway and have probably read the entire series 4-5 times. I am extremely hyped for AMoL and this day I have spent raging about the fact that I cannot get my hands on the prologue. Can anyone help me out?

  27. Started by Bionicgeek,

Last time I was on here was in High School back in the early 2000's as Dragonfire or Lunaticslament, I cannot quite remember which. Graduate school has been eating my life but it's good to be back! ~Roy

  28. Started by Stella Hucity,

I have been a Wheel of Time fan since high school but am new to dragonmount. I have read The Eye of the World thru Towers of Midnight, and have read all but The Gathering Storm and Towers of Midnight at least twice, some I've read three or more times. I find that once I start reading, I lose myself in the lives of the characters. I plan to read them all again before A Memory of Light is released in January, that way I can keep caught up.

Hey! Nice to meet you all. I'm a 24-year-old sociology/criminology student from Edmonton Alberta. I like books (especially fantasy), metal, animals, video games, traveling... lots of stuff. :) I've been a fan of WoT ever since I started reading the series when I was 12... now I'm rereading (or is that re-rereading? Re-re-rereading?) in preparation for A Memory of Light and really enjoying it. Look forward to getting to know you. ETA: I know my username's a bit unwieldy; you can call me Isa if that's easier.
