Hi everyone, it's nice to have found a whole community dedicated solely to the wonderful series The Wheel of Time I have just started reading. I am just but reading book #2 The Great Hunt after letting The Eye of the World immerse me to this fantastic world, even 'til late hours at night, and let me express that so far so much, I've enjoyed it to the last bit. I expect to keep reaching for more of this great adventure as well as to keep track of the going-on here in the forums. I just need be careful of not encountering myself with any spoilers >.<. Light shine upon you all! ^_^

Hi all! My name is Aliarenee and I am new to this forum. I am in the last stages of my reread of the Wheel of Time series and since none of my friends or family are interested in reading these awesome books I have no one to talk to about what I've read. Its frustrating to say the least. They ask me what is going on in my books and its impossible to explain it to them. The last time I tried my Dad made some crude jokes about taints. Ha! Anyway, because of my frustration I decided to join this forum and hopefully start communicating with other fans of this remarkable series. I am halfway through The Gathering Storm and am finding I had forgotten a lot of what had taken…

Which character from WoT do you admire most? We are not talking about who is your favourite character here... which character do you admire most, and why? You could loathe the character yet still admire the growth of said character. All DM members are welcome to participate - new and old The poll only lists a handful - 20 options is all that's allowed... by all means, select other and post your reasons below...

Ive loved The Wheel Of Time for a very long time(though not as long as some). I enjoy listening to the 4th Age Podcast and The Gathering Storm is the first one vie ever had to wait for. I love reading crazy theories and generally discussing The Wheel Of Time. I hope I make a lot of new friends to talk with about cool W.O.T stuff with.

Obviously I'm new here. I'm just saying hello as seems to be protocol. I've been a WoT fan for over 20 years now. Yeah, I'm kind of old school I guess (or maybe that doesn't constitute old school here, I don't know). I remember how excited I was when The Shadow Rising was released, and how I read that in high school instead of doing less important things like paying attention. I was really drawn in by the mythology and the existential questions it raised. Obviously, I still am. I guess I will poke around on here a bit more. I was hoping to find some discussion of the goals of the the Great Lord of th... err... I mean, the Dark One! ;) Recently, Moridin speculated tha…

Hello everyone. My name is Michelle, Im from Norway and Im 24 years old. I am still quite new on this WOT-thingamajing, I discovered the books a little over 2 years ago, after being an avid fantasy reader for over 10 years. My eyes are lowered. I have been working hard to make up for this error of my ways although, I am currently on my fourth re-read (following Leigh Butlers amazing r-r on tor.com). I am so happy to have found a new home with tons of fellow nerds; none of my friends have read WOT or are interessted in it, so I've had no-one to discuss theories with, squee over amazing moments or rant over stupid things. Im guessing I won't be able to do much of that h…

Greetings and welcome to my humble introduction. As you can see on the left, right and bloody everywhere on this topic, there will only be black and white as I am a very humble and modest man, who cannot afford color. And as you might have noticed, my jokes make ravens cry and the father of lies weep. I have not read any flaming introduction guide because I know how tiresome this must be for you guys (women included obviously, as i've read the rules and would not care to break them on my 5th post, thank you very much!) to read trough them and respond "welcome name*[/i' , hope you have fun!" So I will make an attempt at an readable introduction of myself. My n…

Hi, Long time WoT fan but sort of drifted away from the books after reading Winter's Heart and recently got back into them due to a four hour daily commute giving me the chance to sink some serious reading time into getting up to speed. Currently reading Towers of Midnight but slowly as I don't want to get to the end as I know I'll have so long to wait for my next fix, and these books are a fix as I am addicted to them. I don't want them to end. I could read and read about the characters till my eyes bled. I've heard people talk down some of the books for one reason or another but I have never had anything but love for the books. That's me really. Just glad t…

Hi guys, I'm Haylee, and I am really excited to be here! Like all of you, I love The Wheel of Time. I started reading the books in highschool. I read up to #5 and I stopped. School became really intense, and I didn't have time to read anything. I am now re-reading the books, and I'm falling in love all over again. My favorite characters are Thom, Moiraine, and Perrin. I am looking forward to reading this series again, and meeting all of you!

Hi there.. I am new to the forum, but not to WOT.. I started reading back when Eye of the World came out. I have been known to start the series all over again when I knew a book was coming out!! I love the characters!! So rich and real...I am just starting to read TOM for just the 2nd time. It's driving me crazy that AMOL won't be out until Jan 8 2013... Yikes I hope I live that long!!! I turn 55 the next day!! Now I will have to decide whether I want to hold off on TOM or read it now anyway!!! I am disappointed that DKS won't be the artist for the final book... Will they be publishing all 14 books again in hardback as a set? I have broken the spines from all the times …

Hello everybody, I am Darthe and I have loved Jordan's works since around '07. One day, while reading through the series for the umpteenth time I realized that I had my own conclusions about how everything that I didn't know about the series was supposed to eventually happen. I decided to get online and see if anyone else agreed with me and surprise, nobody did. I hadn't posted my thoughts, but I have been reading others for a bit over a year now and have come to the conclusion that Dragonmount has the best theorists and most entertaining community and so today, upon reading the lovely match-up series, I have decided to become a member. Yay!

I keep running across a reference to Glimmers as part of the WoT and it's making me nuts that I can't find it. Can anyone tell me if this is available in hard copy or if it's an eBook? Or if my mind is rotting away...??

Besides college and reading, I love soccer - go Spurs! Anyhow, I hope to get started and jump into the forum community soon!

Hello everyone. My name is Steve and I have been a WOT fan for several years now. I love to read and was turned on to the series after the release of Crossroads of Twilight. I have read the entire series to date twice and am eagerly awaiting A Memory of Light. My interests aside from reading: I like to customize action figures and sell them. My specialty is The Transformers. I'm looking to try some WOT Customs but I need to find the right base figures. You can see my work HERE. I look forward to making new friends here. Feel free to drop me a line sometime.

I've been browsing the forums for a while but have never posted, so I guess it's finally time to say hi! Oregon's my current home, but I might be moving back to Minnesota over the summer. I'm a graphic designer and general computer nerd, and I've been reading the books for about 5 years after my husband turned me on to them. I've only gotten to book 9 so far but I'm on my second read through and planning on going all the way this time. I'm excited to be here!

Salutations to one and all, I've been reading the Wheel of Time for years, and I have the Dungeons and Dragons 3.0e source book for role playing with Robert Jordan's fantastic world. I've been planning and plotting on what I would do with my players, and figured that the internet would be a good place to look for ideas. 'Fans of the Wheel of Time have made a role playing forum, they must have.' I thought, and lo and behold I was right. Since I arrived I've been routing through your various rules, and 'read this first' posts. (which is quite a lot to read through) I finally got to a point where I think I can email off a bio without getting myself into trouble, and …

Hey everybody. I haven't been on dragonmount in a long time... i forgot my information or if I even had an account... but I've got a new email, pseudonym, and am on a roll in getting back on my feet after being... well... hurt for a long long time. I got hurt in Iraq... blown up twice... stack of steel falling on my heads... getting jumped by 11 marines that were "Playing" and caused an aneurism... dozens of other injuries... and then left emotionally bankrupt and alone for a number of years. Well... 3 failed marriages later, and 3 children that I dont get to see unless their mothers approve of my presence... well... I've just lost all sense of give a darn... grr... darn.…

Hello all! I'm new here (obviously!), currently reading the Shadow Rising at the moment (so still a fair way to go!). I only started reading the series about four weeks ago, but I've already got Robert Berry's 'Soundtrack for the Wheel of Time' and the Blind Guardian inspired songs on loop on my mp3, as well as spending far too much time running around demo levels of the '99 game playing cat and mouse with the Whitecloaks! Can't wait to read the rest of the series and talk to people who actually understand the references I've suddenly started spouting! ;)

Greetings all name is shekkie and I'm a WOT addict. I started reading the series about a year and a half ago and just finished my second read through. None of my friends will talk WOT with me anymore so here I am seeking those with a similar interest in is great story. Favorite Character: Mat Favorite storyline: Egwenes time in the tower as Rebel Amyrlin. I read the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind and book 6 in that series is very similar to this storyline of Egwenes. I find that both show the immense power that truth and logic have. This lesson could well serve society today. I look forward to speaking with many of you, have a great nigh…
