After a year or two of browsing DM weekly as a guest, I guess it was finally time to sign up and get on board. Can't make it to JordanCom next spring, but looking forward to the one after that. Thanks to everyone who makes this such a great site - everything from the forums to the galleries to the podcasts... it's fantastic. Glad to finally join the community!

Hello all, I'm new to the site but not to Robert Jordan/WoT books. I started reading them back in 1999 when I was in the 10th grade. Best series ever.( I'm sure you all are aware) Looking to chat with other lovers of the boo and debate subjects. Nice to meet you

  5. Started by Jensine,

Hey y'all! New member but been stalking the forums a couple of days now, decided it was time join =) I'm pretty (very) new to the books. That I only had to wait a month for Towers of Midnight after finishing TGS should say something.. BUT that doesn't make me any less in love with them =) I adore fantasy and sci-fi, but as it happens I don't really know anyone else who does. I tried to get my sister to read WoT. She got as far as Fires of Heaven.. half-way through she quit. Embarrassing really. Fav character has got to be Mat, at least from Shadow Rising - onwards. Though I do admit having a thing for the Randman too. Least fav has got to be.. Padan Fain. Used to …

Vhy hello there, citizens of this strange realm. I am not sure vhat confluence of forces brought me and my friends here, but I assure you, our presence shall not impede your normal enjoyment of this "Vheel of Time" I hear so many of you talking about. I myself found the books to be very amusing, especially the parts about "blood on the rocks". Here I vas thinking they were talking about my favorite cocktail! Ah but you must forgive me for my poor manners, I have yet to introduce myself. I... am Count Dracula!!! *flourishes my cape and executes a flawlessly elegant bow* But you may call me Vlad, if you wish. I am pleased to make your acquaintance, especially th…

  11. Started by Frankenstein's Monster,

Hello. So, I have found this place at last. A place where perhaps I can belong. I do not have a name. They call me Creature. But perhaps you will tell me yours.

  12. Started by Bride of Dracula,

I'm sure my husband has already tried to convince you all of his greatness. But...believe me...he's special. When the preacher man said some 600 years ago that bit about "til death..." I assumed we would be parting ways maybe 60 years later. ...no. The man had to tell me he was a vampire and made me one, too! I'm stuck! We will never truly be dead (unless I can actually find some man brave enough to go to town with some garlic and a wooden stake...) Anyone know where I might be able to find one of those? I have heard of a certain White Tower...is there a red tower? We all know Red is better. I have also heard some of the people here have adopted my 59…

Hooowwwwwwllllooo therrrre. I'm hungrrrrry. Oh, intrrro's firrst then, if you insist...*prowls* Please, likkle RRRRRRandlanderrrs, there is no need to be afrraid. Maybe. Depends. All those things you heard, about me going berrrserrrk and biting y'all with my big nasty gnaship teeth so you turn into Wolfmen (or Wolfwomen, ladies) yourselves - I can't deny some little truth in that (I blame the full moon), but rrreally, I brrrrush my teeth everrry morrning, even trrain my puppy look erm, tough macho Wolfjock eyes in frront of the mirrrorr...okay so I'm a big softie. If you don't catch my rrrruthless temper side, which, I WARN YOU, is predominant. But I has big warrr…

  14. Started by The Invisible Man,

Right! Hello everyone! The Invisible Man here. If I had friends I would tell them to call me T.I.M. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AisrwPaRAbY but as I seem to have this terrible reputation for sticky fingers they don't seem to last long enough for them to use the moniker. The truth of the matter is they are all working against me. ALL of them. Crazy right? Know what's a weird thing to get used to? Talking to people when you're naked. Yeah, took me a while to. I suppose I should tell you all a bit about myself huh? Ummmm, I bought an child's chemistry set, mixed a bunch of stuff up, drank it, and now I am quite mad apparently. Oh, and Invisible. Well no…

Hello, everyone! I'm new here too. My name is Katerina and I'm living in Moscow, Russia. I like traveling (espesially with my dog),reading you-know-what(and not only it), making wool toys. I haven't counted how many times I've read the WoT series. In English it sounds much-much-much better than in Russian(though it's not a surprise ). Looking forward to reading all the discussions here . Sorry in advance for my English if I'll write something strange

  18. Started by lunalilium,

can someone please direct me to the Novice Book someone a while back told me to sign in there, but I am somewhat special apparently and cannot seem to find it here in the forums... I would be most appreciative! Thanks!

  19. Started by nool,

Hiya, 33 year old male here. I really enjoyed reading fantasy in my early teens (Eddings, Tolkien, Le Guin), but somehow fell out of love with the genre. In May this year I spotted the whole WoT series in my mother-in-law's book shelf, and on a pure whim decided to give it a try. Best whim I've had in a long time ;-) I finished ToM yesterday and found my way to this website by googling on "red aiel". My guess, by the way, is that they are from Shara. The continent/culture is obviously well known to the forsaken (Graendal had royal Sharans as "toys"), and I can't see them/the Dark One, not taking advantage of the extra fighting power (soldiers and channelers) it o…

  20. Started by Daybreaker,

I've been a huge fan of this site for a long time, but I was so lazy about joining... Anyway, I hope that though I probably won't post a ton, I can bring some humor and decent thoughts to this wonderful place. Have a great day everyone!

Hey everyone, My name is Richard and I'm a recent college graduate from the Univ. of Puget Sound in Washington state, living in Seattle at the moment. I've read the WoT series countless times since middle school and am currently rereading the series before the release of A Memory of Light. Having been such an avid WoT fan for the last decade, I can't believe I never ran across nor heard of the Dragonmount community. I'm looking forward to perusing everyone's forums, and am excited to have an outlet to discuss my own thoughts and opinions. Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson and the world they've created have been a huge part of my life, it's great to see so many other…

  22. Started by Nicook5,

Hopefully you're reading this in the evening, if not get back to work/sleep/productive activities (this is for your own good, believe me), or if its the weekend, disregard the previous statement. About me... I am an 18 year old male living in the Washington DC area. Discovered WOT this summer, working on my second readthrough at the moment, but I've been slowed by school and college apps :'( bleh. I like reading, playing drums, playing video games, writing code, and nearly anything computer related, and math. I also despise those wheel of time comics... just don't like the look of things in them.

  23. Started by cojast,

Hi. My name is James. Someone recently recommended this site to me when they saw me reading The Fires of Heaven on the train. As you can guess that's as far into the series as I so far but I only started a few weeks ago. I love it so far and really haven't done anything but read for the last month haha. I'm 24 years old and I live in Denver, Colorado.

IN A VIRTUAL HELL? ♥ -- There's a story behind this new presence, you see. It isn't what you might expect; I admit you may either completely adore or relentlessly abhor my presence for the confession I am about to make. I will straightforwardly admit: I have never read Wheel of Time. Once upon a time, an astute and fine older friend of mine recommended that I read the series (due to it being in the range of genres I am currently infatuated with). I, however, have not reached the task yet, as my agenda has been rather full as of late, and the list of things I still need to read forever grows incessantly to this day. Who am I... ? Well, truly, I have been known …

Good day. I live in England, near Cambridge. I enjoying reading fantasy and pen and paper Roleplaying games, unfortunately I work full time so I what little time I have I dedicate to my interests. Thankfully someone always comes up with a great idea, audiobooks. I am able to listen to my favorate books while I work, exercise or drive. My one rule is not to listen to a book till I have read it first. Just started the Wheel of Time series again. You would not be here if you did not like stories, so heres the story of how I came to the Wheel of Time. My love of the Wheel of Time books begin in Aug 1993. I found out that I had broken my leg about a mon…

Hey there everyone, new here at DM and just wanted to briefly introduce myself. You can call me Bee, or the Warrior whichever is fine. I am 19 and a student at Cal State Long Beach in SO-CAL USA, studying international affairs and theater (odd combination at first glance, but they fit hand in hand at a closer study). I have loved these books ever since I first began the adventure that would carry me through my last year of high school through the end of my first year of college. High fantasy runs in my blood, my father passed down some of the first novels I ever read and concurrently fell in love with thereafter, and have probably outread him by now haha. My favorite whee…

  29. Started by BlakeD'Amico,

Hi everyone! My name is Blake, I picked up the first book I ever read of this series in a Dallas airport. Reading The Dragon Reborn put me on a path to greatness in reading this series. So since that time I have eagerly waited for all of the books to come out. I've tried getting some of my friends involved because I feel the series has a strong connection to our everyday lives but it is difficult when you're in college with not enough time on your hands. Lately I've found myself spouting phrases from the books when the time seemed so much akin to what had happened in the last chapter I read. Basically, I need people who love this series as much as I do to talk to!
