Hello! Long time lurker slowly realizing its now or never to start posting lol. let me see....im 31 and read EotW for the first time in 7th grade, so like many of you its been an almost 20 year addiction for me. first book i recall waiting on was LoC....was Moiraine REALLY gone??? lol being my first go around with sci fi/fantasy i didnt really know that doorways do not equal death haha....what amazes me is that from 13 years old to 31, the wheel of time is still it for me. it is the world i day dreamed about in junior high while trying to embrace saidar and blast my teacher away in algebra and still...one marriage/divorce/daughter later here i am. i have reread between ev…

Hello there. I am from Bulgaria. Have been reading the Wheel of Time for some 5 years now. Great fan.

Hello all.. I'm Grishnak or Grish. Been reading the books for a while now. Had EotW sitting on my bookshelf unread for ages (so to speak). Then I got a haircut and my barber and I got to discussing books. WoT came up and I thought.. Hmmm... I've got that book. Picked it up and have yet to put them down. lol Just finished book 6 (Lord of Chaos) and am about to start #7. Was greatly amused at the forum topics and the general Egwene bashing (I happen to like her ). I am also amused by everyone saying how repetitive and verbose the series is, yet it has a huge enough following to actually have a fan site. Look forward to many a discussion about this wonderful (yet plo…

Hello all! WOT fan from Buffalo,NY. Been a fan of the series since May when i first bought TEOTW (even though ive known about the series for a couple years). I love the series so much that i'm already on book 10 going on book 11 soon :). You can say what got me to be a fan was listening to a song "Wheel of Time" by Blind Guardian. After that i had to go buy the books lol.

I'm a person who lives in a place. Arguably its called the plant Earth. I do "things" for an occupation which pays me money. Thats right... money.... not Snickers bars.... just plain ol' cash. And only "things"... i dont do "stuff". I'm just not that kinda guy I tend to have opinions ... usually that I espouse just for the sake of shock value or to play devils advocate. I dont believe half of what I know and less than half of what I say. I tend to enjoy fantasy books.... I love the thought that one person, or a small group of people, can make a big difference in the world. Its delightfully different from reality. I guess thats why we like fantasy as well.…

Hey everyone! My name is Mike and I'm brand new here. I started reading The Wheel of Time series sometime this year (a few months ago.) I currently have read The Eye of The World, The Great Hunt, The Dragon Reborn, and The Shadow Rising. I am currently reading New Spring, then will be moving onto The Fires of Heaven. So far these are the most interesting fiction books I have ever read - it really grabs your attention and sparks your imagination. Sometimes I forget I'm even reading a book - it seems more like a movie is unraveling in my head. I went ahead and set up my profile on here, and hopefully will become an active member of Dragonmount. I have been getting o…

Greetings, I am a french canadian who likes to read in english beacuse it's soooo less complicated than french! I discoverd TWOT in 1995. The cover of the Eye Of the world practically spoke to me. So I bought the first 2 volumes in one go! Been addicted to the stuff ever since! Thank you very much Mr. Jordan - James Oscar Rigney - (and Mr. Sanderson for keeping up the flame!) You were one of my main inspiration as to start writing my own stuff! May the light shine on your soul for all etrnity and may you shelter in the arms of the Allmighty! You have proven yet again that the pen is way mightyer than the sword! You gave me the trip of my life: to tr…

So I'm new here. Obviously, I love the WOT series, though I haven't quite made myself read the companion novel yet. I tend to read series more for character development than the down and dirty of the plot. I've read the series a few times, but this is the first time I've stumbled on this site so I'm pretty excited. I'm not too familiar with online forums, though, and I'm wondering how to go about getting an avatar. :)

Hello everyone, I started the WOT about a month ago and am currently starting Shadow Rising and continue to be happily engrossed in this wonderful series. I'm still amazed that this went on for fourteen books. It's a shame that R.J. didn't live to see the end of it but what we have is a treasure. Having said that I have to admit that there are a couple of minor annoyances with Mr. Jordans writing style. I know, I know, I shouldn't nitpick especially in my very first introduction to this community but I should explain that my primary motivation for joining this community is to share the joy of this wonderful and exciting series that so clearly stands out from the dr…

Hi everyone! I've been planning to sign up for a long time, but I always put it off because while I've been checking this site for years, I've also tried to stay away to avoid spoilers because I've never really been "up to speed" with my reading. A little bit about myself: I'm a guy, I'm 30, I'm from Norway, I've always loved reading and writing, but mostly non-fiction and academic work. However, WoT has defined me in many ways since I began reading it in high school in fall 1997. I never noticed all the nuances and foreshadowing but the world, the atmosphere and the characters completely captivated my young mind. I tend to obsess a bit when I enjoy something, but thi…

I found this site by looking for the release date for the next chapter in the story. I do not say last because I do not believe it will end there. ( or at least hope ) I have read thousands of fictional books by the best authers of our age and have found nothing that compares to the depth of the WoT series. When I read a normal book now it is a let down and tease that is over in just a few hundred pages. And am excited to find a community of Jordan fans! Tell another about the series and story....get them all worked up about it.... and tell them that they will be up to speed and can hold an elequent conversation on the topic in just 11,000 pages.....yep, they are back to …

Hello hello! I thought this would be a good place to start since I just joined. Obviously! I've been reading the WOT series for six weeks and I'm on book six 'Lord of Chaos'. Yes, I am addicted and can't put them down. A friend of mine gave me the first book about two years ago and has been bugging me ever since to start reading it. I am glad I finally picked it up! He is shocked that I am reading them so fast, but I am carrying them with me everywhere, even to work! Shhhh! So far my favorite characters are Perrin, Loial (although I have not heard much from them since book four. I see them on the horizon again here and can't read fast enough to see whats go…

Hi, I am new to DM. I have been lurking around awhile but finally registered. I have enjoyed watching the interseting discussions except when they get a little too crazy personal. Before I go any farther I need to thank Luckers, Terez, and Yoniy0 for helping me get my AOL problem worked out thru help. You guys were all very nice to respond as you did. I have one question. Can you change your user name? After reflection, I didn't think it was proper to have even a mild spoiler in my name. Happy to be here ove the special smileys!

Name is John (very common I know...) and I'm a wheel of time aholic... I've read the entire series twice and have been pulling my hair out waiting for this last book to come out. I'm a U.S sailor and when I'm not working I'm usually reading. I'm a huge fan of fantasy books and Robert Jordan was a major inspiration to me. Brandon Sanderson has not diminished that at all with how work in the Wheel of Time. I've recently been reading some of his own books and have trouble putting them down. When I'm not out to sea I'm studying my Japanese (which is my current duty station) and continuing my profression in video game design. I'll be spending most of my time in the vid…

Hi everyone, I'm just posting here to say hello! I love the series (obviously), really look forward to talking about it and cant wait for the last book (though I dread it at the same time). I'm even trying to incorporate it into an assignment I'm working on, but I will post that somewhere else I guess... Yep, that's it... hello again!

So hey there, nice to meet you all, I started reading the wheel of time books earlier this year and just recently finished The Towers of Midnight but because none of my friends are big on reading or found the book too long winded to keep their interest I decided to come to the internet to find people I can talk to about the books . Can't wait to dive into this forum and see what amazing stories and theories you have all come up with. so yer I guess that's really it, I look foreword to seeing all of you around the forums. Muar

Hi! I'm new in here (as you surely have guessed) but I've been visiting in Dragonmount for a long time. I was just too shy to do that and it was almost an accident as I finally registered :) I always have one WoT book to read but since the publisher of the books decided to translate only the WoT books written entirely by RJ into my language, I'm looking for an international online bookstore or something, where I could get the rest in english. As english is not my langauge I may do some mistakes, so please don't be too mad... I may also be pretty bad with computers so be prepared if I ask for help! Ledinna

.. and wow, did that hurt! I'm C.J., new to the forums. I stumbled upon the site a few weeks ago looking up some information on the Wheel of Time series, when book 14 would be released, and found a link to a video on this site, so I finally decided to register. I didn't start reading the The Eye of the World until late 1998, and I just finished reading Towers of Midnight, so for the first time, I'm all caught up! I did read New Spring in between books 12 and 13, though. So, I started back to the beginning again because there is a LOT that I have forgotten over the last 13~ish years from the earlier books! This is easily one of my favorite series ever, and I can't…

  25. Hello all! I'm new to the forums here, and this is my very first post. It's nice to join a community of people who enjoy the Wheel of Time series as I do. A little about myself: I began reading the series a few years ago. About 5, I think, to be more specific. So, I realize I'm not as old a fan as many of you, but I am a fan nonetheless. I was introduced to the series by my brothers, who had been reading for much longer, and they were introduced to the series by my father, who has a ton of books in his collection (generally all fantasy). I'm 27, male, and in love with my beautiful fiancee. My favorite male character is a toss up between Mat and Perrin,…

Hi All, New member on the forums but been looking at the website and following RJ's books for years. Really love the series - re-reading for about the 10th time now. So glad that they chose Brandon Sanderson to finish the series as I had already read his Mistborn books before he was revealed to finsh RJ's work. Love this website for bringing all of the WoT threads together - great artwork and some really dedicated people out there who spend far too much time trying to figure out what is going to happen - just let it go - The Wheel weaves as the wheel wills!! Keep up the good work. Ogier bookworm

The second section of Dragonmount is the Organizations, which are groups of people with common ground meeting up in various settings based off of various groups in the books. There is a broad range of things that are discussed in these groups, from tv shows and movies to books …
