Hello everyone. I am living in Tianjin, China and I cannot begin to say how excited I am to join your company. I have been reading and rereading these wonderful stories since Day One. I have had the chance to introduce my nephew and one friend to this series and they are very fun to talk with about the books. However, I am stunned to discover how many other people find this as fascinating as I do. I am currently rereading the series so I can be up to snuff in my discussions and posts on this site. Thanks for the opportunity and I look forward to meeting as many people as possible!! I need a bit of advice about where to locate help with my avatar and a signature so I won't…

Hello all of you WoT fans !!! I am new to Dragonmount community and I would like to learn more about the release date of the Memory of Light, and also a simple explanation about the end of the ToM cause I got as little confused... Why does Lanfear appear and IS it truly Lanfear? I know she has been ressurected, but why (and how) does Rand see her in his dreams? Finally, what do you think wiull happen with the Seanchan? The images we saw from Aviendhas vision were quite grim... Anyway, thank you all, I am ready to post in any of your topics! PS. How can I add specific..sentences under my posts? Like quotes you know?

Hi everyone, I'm new to this site but I have been reading WOT since 2005 and have read every book except the prequel. Is it worthwhile to read it? My main interest is to find out more about what people think of the various characters and their purpose in the storylines. Often I thought Jordon just threw a character in here and there to fill space and add depth to a story, but yet never fully intended for that character to take on any meaningful role. I'd like to also know more about the "Age of Legends" and the future world after the Lasst Battle.

Hello, WOT fans. I'm a fantasy novelist (first draft of one complete novel and early first draft chapters of another novel in progress are available for reading at my blog, www.bookofzo.blogspot.com; if anyone here feels so inclined, have a glance--but be aware, my work has NOTHING in common with Robert Jordan's stuff, or anyone else's for that matter) and a longtime reader of the Wheel of Time. Over the last fifteen years I've read the available books in the series maybe four times through, and today I'm commencing a new read-through, figuring that by the time I'm through the existant volumes the final book will be on the shelves. On my last read-through I got up to K…

Hi all, Started reading WOT after book 3 came out and was a long time lurker on rec.arts.sf.written.robert-jordan (did I get that right?). Gave up on the series after book 8, but now I've just re-read 1-8 and started Winter's Heart. That is all. Steve

Hey! I'm a fairly new fan... kinda. I actually grew up around the series, as my mother began reading it and telling me about it when I was six. Well, now that I'm twenty-two I recently started reading the series and am currently working on 'The Fires of Heaven'. So far the series is totally amazing and I might be [slightly] obsessed. I have no idea why I didn't start reading it sooner. I hope to make a lot of friends and have a lot of fun! May you find water and shade. -Es'teren

I read Eye of the World for the first time when I was 11 years old. I'm now 30, and on the eve (so to speak) of the release of the final installment of the Wheel of Time series, I've decided to join a discussion forum. WoT was the first epic fantasy series I ever got really into. I also introduced my younger sister to the series, and read the first six books aloud to my mother. I've read the first five books at least a hundred times, the next five perhaps 20 or so, and my workable knowledge of the series is pretty solid. But more to the point, I just love the darn thing. And let's face it, there is no better series to provoke a person to try their hand at awkward and dubi…

I just finished my first read through of the WoT! It was so awesome, I'm going through withdrawal, though I still need to finish ANS. Does anyone know who did the cover art for the Dragonmount webpage? I really really like it and I want to see more of this artist's work...

Hello fair people of DM. Well as the title might hint at (hopefully, since I spent, oh a good 8 seconds, to come up with that piece of wittiness) I've been a member of DM way back in the days. Think it was 02:ish... But don't take that as a fact. Actually, dont take anything I say as fact :P Anyway, after finally finishing the latest book I sort of had a bit of RP craving. So, in short, I thought I'd come back and give RPing a wing. Not sure what direction I'm going tho, kinda thinking of doing some WT schtuff, since I was involved with the BT and Seanchan last time around. And as the wise men, and women, say... Change is not to be feared. Or at least that's what I'…

Hey everyone! I am quite new here, though I have been lurking a long time before finally joining. Though I don't post much (yet ;)) I do come here a lot. I am from the Netherlands, 21 years old, and I'm a student of journalism. I work at a liquor store and at some local newspapers :) When I was about 14, I started reading WoT and was immediately hooked. Though I quit reading for a while when CoT came out, because I read it in English and did not understand half of it, haha. But somewhere last year I decided to read them again, this time all in English, and read straight through to the end. Now I'm trying to get my friends to read it as well, but no luck with …

I just started re-reading this series. I actually started when the FIRST one came out--- yes, I am THAT old --- but I became frustrated when the author deviated from the normal "3 books and done" format. So I decided to wait until they were all done... I find it hard to remember what happened in previous books if they only come out every year or two... I need to read them fairly soon after one another! Anyway, I am SO happy I started reading the series again -- so detailed and involving and complicated - I will re-read the whole series again after I finish it the first time-- I am currently on book 9 "winter's heart". My character question-- I know Galina ( now…

Hi there, I've been browsing the forum as a non-member for a while now, so it's about time introducing myself. I'm a 29 years old, from Oslo, Norway. I first started reading WoT when I found a copy of "The Eye of the World" ("Flukten fra Emondsmark" and "Stormens øye" in Norwegian) in my local library. That must have been in the early 90ies. Pretty soon I switched over to English, which probably have helped improve my English skills considerably :) By now I've read the entire series several times, still enjoying (almost!) every single page! So that was a brief introduction of myself! Hopefully I'll be able to contribute on this forum, at least I'll do my best…

Hello everyone. I started reading WOT back in 1990, and have read it on and off ever since. COT sorta put me off, but I'm doing a re-read to get ready for the last novel. Hope to chat with you all soon.

I remember picking up "Eye of the World" in a shop a few years ago. For whatever reason, I just couldn't get into it. Then a few weeks ago, I picked it up again, and literally couldn't put it down until I was finished it (by which time it was nearly time to get up). Well... no book ever did that to me before. I still haven't had the time to read the subsequent books, because I'm doing the Leaving Cert (end of school exams), but I'll get around to them when I've got those out of the way. Anyway, my name is Fiachra, and I'm a 19 year old from Ireland. My pass-times include reading, writing, socialising, alcoholic beverages, and travelling (restricted to France and Germa…

Hello all, I'm Kate, not new to forums, but new to DM. I've known of the WoT series for many years (hard to avoid when you're born and raised in the same town RJ lived) but have only read the first 5 books, twice (school and life always seems to interfere with my plans). However, I'm a terrible person and cannot resist not knowing if my "hunches" have merit (they usually do) so I have seen just about every spoiler known to man . I have recently begun rereading them while on break from my university, and am up to Fires of Heaven with two and half months left of break; victory is within my grasp! This time, I decided to join DM so I could talk to others who are as…

Hi everyone! Just joined the forums last night finally, after a couple days of lurking about the site Hmm, what else to say? 24 yrs old from central Illinois, and I just started ToM after re-reading the entire series for the 2nd time (the first time being in highschool after a friend recommended it to me). I have to say I'm enjoying it more the second time around, having a better grasp of the characters, concepts, and storylines. Fave characters would have to be Egwene at this point, for so much ass-kicking, as well as Siuan (love the pairing w/Bryne!) and Birgitte, for, well, being Birgitte! I love to draw, the WoT is a great source of inspiration, ever…
