Introduce Yourself

If you're new to Dragonmount, stop in and introduce yourself!

  1. Started by valkyn3,

my name is lance, though here on the boards I use a name I took when I became pagan. I use that name for a lot of things. I'm 25 years old, married with 3 wonderful children. I've been following the wheel of time since I was 14. Ever since I turned the first page I fell in love with the series. Though it is rather difficult to keep up with all things WOT when I have my job and family that are above everything else in my life. I've been serving in the army for the past 4 years and have been to korea, iraq (and again some time soon), and all over the USA. I am a massive d&d nerd. and love spending time outdoors with my family. Questions?

  2. Started by brolie,

Hey, I'm finally far enough in the books to feel okay about joining, haha. I started Knife of Dreams yesterday but I started reading forever ago. I have two kids so I don't get to read as much as I'd like but I didn't want to join before when I didn't know enough about what happens and I didn't want anything given away! But I'm sure most of you here are already done with Towers of Midnight so I'm still trying to catch up :) Anyway, my name is Brolie :)

I see you, Dragonmount! Been a fan of the books for years, decided to delve into the online discussion rabbit hole in time for the last book. LOVE these books, I cant exactly tell what it is about them that makes them different, but Ive not read anything else that pulls you in so much. Favorite character is Mazrim Taim, the guy is so badass... it probably hurts to be that badass. (If thats not an opening I dont know what is). Im pretty sure he is the key to the Last Battle somehow. But the guy is just cool as, cooler than a cold thing which in a sense would mean warmer than cold... confusing. Anyway, it pleases me to join a community with such good taste, if y…

Hello to all Dragonmount users. I'm here to customary introduce myself. I read Wot since 2000. A lost friend introduced it to me and since I'm trapped in it ... to my most inner shame (I'm alone in my circle of friends to read it). I'm a big leecher since it's approximately 10 years I read various board (ex-wotmania, theoryland, dragonmount and all the others ... especially fanart all over the net). I've never dared to create an account here (I'm french and my english shall somewhat be weird , sorry for my future posts). Actually I was browsing various pages on the net and (with google's doodle help) I landed on this page : http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sundae. …

Hi. I'm new to Dragonmount, but I have been reading the WoT series for almost 3 years now. I have finished the series, except for the upcoming book obviously, and I thought I would look around here and just join in the community. I am actually going through the books a second time. This has lead me to a ton of questions/theories for the series as a whole and I can't wait to share and/or find people that have the same questions and theories. I guess I will start by sharing the story of how I started reading the series. I was given Eye of the World as a present when I was a teenager. I failed to adhere to the age-old adage, though. I literally judged a book by its cover…

  7. Yeah sooo I'm a bit obsessed with WOT and I just figured this out this morning because I had a dream I was Rand.. o.o bit weird...Anybody else have any WOT dream stories they wanna share? This is my first post on here figured this would be an intresting topic to begin with! yeah...i'm done now.....

  8. Started by Graendel,

Hi. I have an odd question. I have read all of the books (well, except the most recent one) as they have been published and found today, while describing the series to a friend, a question I could not answer: What is the time span, in-story, from The Wheel of Time to, say, Book 12? Or, how much time has passed in the lives of the Three Rivers people since we were first introduced to them? Might anyone know? /G

Hey all, my name is Jordan and I've been coming to this site for years now to get info on upcoming WoT books and such, and I've finally decided to start participating. I've been a long time fan of WoT and its one of my favorite books! I'm a college junior studying computer science, but I'm currently doing an internship at a web hosting company. I'm looking forward to getting to everyone!

Hey everybody, whats going on! I was a big fan of wotmania back in the day (especially the other fantasy section) but for whatever reason never came around DM that much. Well, wot has finally died, so I made a profile here a while back and lurked but never posted, but I figured that I would finally start posting a little bit here and there! Anyways, I am a big fan of wot (although I am a book behind, reading the Stephen Erickson stuff atm) and just fantasy stuff in general. If I haven't bored you too much already you can find a little bit more about me in my sig. Hope to get to know everyone here a bit better! Tif

Hello. I've been a WoT fan for quit some time, having been introduced to the series by the WoT game (the shooter from waaayyyy back). It is one of my favorite series, if not the favorite. Also, I've made a convert of a friend, so spreading the WoT-gospel too. I'm currently a student, doing a BA arts in creative writing. Glad to be here.

Hello. Now wouldn't that be nice, a one word new topic from a newbie? Nope, won't happen. How did I find this site? Well, I've been reading WoT for a long time. And I was constantly searching for a new book when whatever before TGS came out and I had finished reading it. Then I found TGS and read up on what happened. RIP Robert Jordan. So, I finished TGS and started searching for info about TOM. Found this site then found TOM was already out. Drove to the closest Borders, and it was having a closing sale. That didn't seem good, so I ran inside and searched through the mess for the Fantasy section, and didn't find the book. Heartbroken, because I had thought …

I only know this site only for two days or so but for now I actually really like it. I never thought there would be so much theory's and fun stuff about this epic serie. About mezelf: I am only 15 years old, lives in Belgium(Leuven) (should explain my horrible English I think :)), that I start reading the serie one your ago, and that After i was done I reread it till the 6th book, but that was in Dutch :(, Then i Read the final book (ToM) in English (Bought it in London). Now I am certainly gone reread the whole in English. I interest me in athletics(400-200m), reading(duh xD), gaming(A lot ;), and also in fanta…

Hi, guys! I was amazingly surprised my username had not been taken. I've been a member of theoryland for a long time but now that i've caught up with the rest of the WoT series, I want to participate anywhere and everywhere where WoT fans gather. I had been aware of this place for about a year, but never really had looked around until now, and I'm happy to have done so now :) so just a hello, and nice meeting you!

Hi, I started reading the series about 10 years ago, read all the available books back then and then decided I would wait for the series to be completed before starting again. Recently I started to re-read the series again even though the last book is not yet done. Just couldnt help it :). Finished ToM yesterday and thought it would be a good time to enter these boards to keep up my personal hype for AMoL. About myself: I'm a 26 year old Swede who enjoys reading, spending time with my wife and 4 kids and work with elder care.

What up! I'm John and I luuuurrves these books. I'm a school teacher so I had the entire summer 2010 to read Eye of the World through Knife of Dreams. This series took me by surprise, but I've been in love ever since picking up "The Dragon Reborn" for the first time. Ooh, and I drew that dashing trolloc on my avatar. You can find a bigger version of it here.

hi all, i'd like to thank the many contributors at wotmania and here for providing much additional enjoyment to me over the years beyond the books themselves. i'm sure i'm not alone in being a repeat reader of the series. I was introduced to it by my brother-in-law. initially i borrowed his copies but after TSR I invested in my own set. I have the whole series including new spring. I role played for a while as a novice of the white tower. I am a bit obsessive by nature so I have lurked and read hundreds of discussions and theories on various sites. In recent years I was a full time student working towards a law degree. I was saddened to hear of RJ's passin…

I first started the series in 1990 when it first came out and have been hooked ever since. I have read all the books multiple time, have some of the cards from the card game, the computer wheel of time game and the music cd that was created. I can not wait for the last book so the series can be completed and the questions can be answered. There are certainly a lot of loose ends and i do not think that everything will be wrapped up so neatly. I was wondering though in the series when did Moriaine realize she was going to end up with Thom Merrilin ? I know that she started go get him to turn around as early as the 4th book?

Hello, all you fellow Wheel of Time fans. I am Marian, twenty years old. I have been reading Wheel of Time for four or five years now. I was introduced to the series by my mother in 2006, who had in turn been given her books by her younger brother back when they first came into stores. I read the prologue of Eye of the World and found it pretty amazing, but I did not actually read the whole book until a year later because I could not get into the story. Of course, now, I feel rather silly for making such an error in judgment, but back then... Oh, who knew what I was thinking. In present days, my mother and I both are fanatical about the series. I know s…

Hi there, I must admit that I’ve been coming to this site quite a lot but never really thought about signing up as all the info I needed was here for me and all the question I wanted to ask,, someone already did so never really felt the need… Then I thought, hold up!! “I only know two people that love TWOT books as much as me and that needs to change!!” As well as, I want to talk about the film…. First though, how I came to find The Wheel of Time… I was a late starter to the books, 2005…. (Good job I travel a lot with work), a friend loaned me the first book as I was about to fly and had left my then current book at work (which I never went back to by the way)…
