  1. Started by stekner,

I started reading this series a couple years back, and I finished reading the first 10 books in less than a month. Probably cuz I fell in love with the Characters of this awesome series. Since then I re read and listened to the whole series twice. Can someone tell me if I am mad?

  4. Started by Hold On To The Night,

I've been lurking in the shadows here for a couple of years. I now finally decided you won't hurt me and I dare show myself. So, hello, here I am! I've read the series probably...hmm... a few times now. That doesn't mean I have control, though. The first time I read the first five books or so I did so in Norwegian and (1) the translation was so bad sometimes the meaning got all twisted and (2) they split all the books in two or three and somehow I managed to read them in the wrong order. I've read them again in English of course, but my first read is still the one I remember the most vividly, so don't trust anything I ever say about those five books. I'm looking…

Hey everyone! My name is Hayden, I'm from Australia. I've been lurking dragon mount for a few months now, but have finally decided to join in the fun. Some things about myself: I'm an aspiring writer, thanks to Robert Jordan. Massive fan of Raymond E Feist, as well as David Gemmell, Terry Brooks and Sara Douglass. I'm still at school, I plan to complete a Bachelor of the Arts, majoring in creative writing and philosophy. I'm also very involved in music. I'm the singer for a pop-punk-hardcore band and plan to make music a huge part of my life. I like metal, hardcore, progressive rock and the like. I have only read through the series once, but that was only 1 mon…

Nice to meet you all. I'm a long-time WoT fan, of course, and just finished "Towers of Midnight." One more. One more. One more... A little about me - I live in Japan where I teach high school outside Kyoto. It's a great gig, where one of my duties is teaching literature. I would love to teach WoT, but I doubt I could get the same class assigned to me for the three straight years it would take to do it. I'm also a podcaster, where I do book reviews. I'll be doing Wheel of Time as my end-of-month series review, starting in May, which should give plenty of buffer time for Memory of Light to come out. But you might enjoy some of the other reviews I've done, so stop on…

Hi everyone I've been lurking for a while, and am fairly new to the WoT world, not having yet made it through the whole series. I only discovered WoT by chance through a spurious link. I've since acquired paperbacks of 1-11 and the Audible downloads of everything so far. Thankfully, being in the UK, the Orbit Paperback covers are excellently understated, with the volume numbers on the spine. (no sickly Sweet covers for me ) In the main I prefer to listen rather than read, and to refer back to the books for clarification of spellings and things. The first time I attempted the series a couple of years back, I only made it through tEotW and partway through tGH be…

  9. I come, like all potentially Brown sisters would, for knowledge. I actually have a question about the ToM trailer, but that's off topic. I have no qualms about joining (I'm not like Verin, only in for knowledge) - I've been a WoT fan for almost a decade and a half. In addition to knowledge I come for friendship. I realized the last time I went to Brandon Sanderson's release for The Gathering Storm, it would have been nice to meet others who enjoy the series as I do. I met a few there and I hope to see them again on Monday. But I'm also wondering how many Utahns roam these halls and will be attending the release party? I can't promise to be the most active pos…

Hello, I am a great fan of the WOT and Mr.Jordan. I found this site a few years ago and used it to keep up to date on the series. My Sister shared her beloved books with me. I have read and reread all the books. The world and characters are like old friends. When news of Mr. Jordan's passing was posted I shared the news my sister and we were grief stricken and saddened. I am so grateful to this site who has given a voice to the fans of Mr. Jordan. When I heard Mr. Sanderson was going to help complete the series I rushed out to get some of his work and now he has a fan for life. Thanks again, I visit this site often now and you are a great place to keep abreast of WOT news…

Hello, people of the Dragonmount website and forums. I've been a surfer of dragonmount.com for a long, long time now, and I guess I just figured it was time to sign up and maybe participate in some of the discussions and what have you. I've been a WoT fan for around ten years now; I first read EotW when I was thirteen. I've read and re-read all the books over the years, and am waiting with breathless anticipation for the release of ToM. The Wheel of Time is by far my favorite book series and I'm excited to become a part of such an awesome website. Feel free to email me about anything. weasel.slayer@yahoo.com

Hey everybody! I picked up the Wheel of Time series a short while back and haven't put it down since. I'm a little behind, (I'm still on A Path of Daggers), but damnit I do love this story!!! I'm also pretty stoked about the movie, even though I imagine they'll ruin it. There's just too much going on in the books to make them into movies. Anyway, I'm super addicted to WoT now, and based on the fact that everyone here is on a WoT forum, I'd say we have that in common.

Hello all! I'm Rick and I've been reading the series over and over again, (like many here) since 1990, and finally decided to join Dragonmount.. I have seen for a long time that the fans here are as rabid about the series as I am. It's getting close to the end, and to be honest, I don't want it to end. These characters and thier world are now a part of my psyche. Them and thier world must contine.. I hope I live long enough for the whole series to be brought to the screen in some manner befitting the material. The ToM trailer is a great start. Tears went streaming down my cheeks the first time I watched it. Anyway, you all have given me great reading on this site, …

I have been reading the wheel of time now for ohh about ten years or so and just can not wait for the next book to come out and the series to be over so i know how it ends. This has to be one of the most captivating series that I have ever read and am kinda disappointed in my self for not becoming a member of this site before now, but i guess better late then never. Well I hope to get involved with the community and talk about these great books that have brought us all together. Till then Bartholome…

Hello everyone. I've browsed Dragonmount for some time now, but just got around to joining the forum. Huge fan of WOT. Been a huge fan for years. Absolutly the best story (or... uh... set of stories?) ever written (in the fiction genre), IMO. Anyways. Here is some art work I did recently. My wife and I made these costumes and wore them to the Texas renfest. But, before we went, we posed for some pictures, and I then photoshopped them into what you see here. Here we are fighting trollocs. Of course, I did not draw the trollocs here. You are all pretty familiar (I assume) with that particular painting, which I believe was done by the folks who are making the comic …

Hello, my friends. I have been on Dragonmount several times so far, but this is the first time I have decided to actually subscribe and post a comment. I read all the WOT books several times in the past year or so, and I liked them immensely. I feel like i wrote those books, they seem so right to me. I am very glad to be a part of the WOT web community, and I hope to have more comments in the future. I wish you all well! Also, I found the character of Mazrim Taim to be a very interesting one, and I have made it my lifelong ambition to understand this character and to find out more about him, so I have decided to borrow his title in the Asha'man organization, the Black To…

Hi all, I, like many of you, have been reading WOT for many-a-years and was heartbroken at Robert Jordan's passing but remain a faithful reader awaiting the next book ;)I found this site while killing some time and contemplating reading the series yet again (which, of course, I will). The RPs sound like fun so I thought I'd join- any reccommendations? As for who I am- well, I live in Australia, am currently at Sydney Uni and love reading and chocolate (I am also ironically a terrible speller-lol). Call me Dera, see you around :D

So, I figured I'd introduce myself, though not a super hard core WOT fan I do enjoy them and planned on picking up TOM sometime November. Prior to boarding on of the big long haul flights out of the US, i was worried what I would spend the 15-17 hours doing. Luckily I wandered in to a nice little store and managed to find the following.... I won't post spoilers unless requested and in someway appropriate for the forum. And yes there was another copy sitting on the shelf.

I am WOT reader from Washington, DC. I was given the Eye of the World as a birthday gift from a friend when I was in high school (way back in the early 90s). It was a bit too derivative of other fantasy works for my taste, but I enjoyed it enough to give book two a try several years later. Boy, am I glad that I did. The Great Hunt completely rocked my world and from then on, I was hooked. There have been moments when I've lost faith. After slogging through Crossroads of Twilight I was so disappointed that I considered never reading another WoT book again. Fortunately, RJ was able to step things up a bit, and Brandon Sanderson, imo, has done a fantastic job keeping everyth…

Boy is it good to be back with all of you. I used to get on at work because I didn't have a computer at home and spent too much time so I had to leave for awhile. Now I have a computer at home and so hopefully will have more time to talk to you all again. I missed all the friendly discussions (and some not so friendly lol). Hopefully you won't mind when I put my two cents worth in.

Hi there! My names Lauren and I am 22 yrs old. I started reading the Wheel of Time Series about 6 months ago, but since I've started I have bought them all and couldn't put them down, especially tGS, I've read that one like 10 times. I've been lurking around here for about a month. It's amazing to read everyones opinions, even if they're sometimes wrong XD, and to see the theories that I would've never come up with on my own. I've loved reading my whole life, but it's only in the past year and a half that my tastes have matured and am now into more "adult" books. I've been a members on other forum, and always tried to get into the RP thing, and by tried I mean I'll wr…
