I enjoy long wa...oh man... yup...twice on one post... it's going be bad... But for real, if you're still with me My name is Scott, and I am married with 2 children. I work for the United States Army. Currently deployed in Afghanistan, I picked up these books. I never really liked reading before, in fact, it made me physically angry to read. I guess you could say I was much more of a movie guy. When I joined the army, being away from the family could be pretty rough and while in training your privileges are few and far between. Anyways, I'm a senior in highschool, I love to read fantasy series (WoT is the best). Have always been a Robert Jordan fan with a lot of the Conan books. Hello everyone, I visited these forums many times in the past. I have been following the WoT series for the last 6 years, and during that time I felt the need to read what other people thought about some aspects of the books that I read again and again. Today, after reading the prologue and the first chapter of ToM I decided to browse the web for more info, and that search, once again, lead me here. This last visit to these forums made me feel a stab of guilt for not registering and saying at least 'hi' to those people whose opinions I've read so many times before. Just a quick note to say hello. I have been a dedicated fan since about half way through TEOTW. I began reading the series around 97 when five books had been published I think and have suffered the wait with the rest of you. Although the anticipation has been fun and exciting at times, one thing I have learned from this is to check before I start a new series to make sure all of the books have already been written:) In reality though I have never read another series that has been as worth the wait as this one.

Glad to be here. Former Wotmania guy who strayed away from the whole series for a few years until recently. After a full re-read and a read of the last 2 books, i'm back in a big way. i started reading the series in '94ish during a summer job i had sitting at an entrance booth at a local beach. by the time i got to TDR most people just got in for free because i was transfixed most of the day. Now i'm an "adult" but luckily i chose a career path that has insured i never grow up. thus, my love of all things WOT can flourish again. anyway, glad to be back, and i'll see ya around.

How to start is always the worst point, but since this is mostly about the Wheel of Time, I might as well start there. First time I heard of this series was in 2001 where I in the local bookstore found Winters Heart, and noticed that it was number nine of a series, and only thought that maybe I should read it, as most series who make more than 3 books have to be good, in order for the puplisher to keep them coming. Hey there, Just joined so I thought I'd say what's up. I don't read much fantasy these days, but Wheel of Time holds a special place in my heart. Been reading the series since I was a freshmen in high school, so it's definitely influenced me. Robert Jordan was something of a hero to me, and I still remember where I was when I found out he passed. Anyways.... I took a look at this site after having just read "New Spring" and I had to join. I'm a long-time lurker here and have been reading the series for a while (ever since my dad introduced me, a bit after Crossroads of Twilight was released). I've been pretty content with just observing all the theory work going on here, but I'm starting to get an inkling to register my own opinions here. Hope it'll be fun :)

Hello again. I'm not of Randland or whatever name it has came to be called in this age. However I've been around on fan-sites, not this one as it were, for some time. I've not been on any in some time sadly. My current profession affords me little time and little to do with it, so I spend it reading mostly. Got back into it when I worked up the courage to convert my husband--started reading TEOTW aloud expecting it would end there, and then a year and a half later we still weren't done with the reread and tGS was out!
