My name is Mametsuki, AKA "Badgergirl" although I go by many names in many places, but you'll get to recognise my long diversions from the topic in hand. I'm half way through the very first WOT book,(Chapter 19, actually) and so far I get the feeling I'm going to be a proper fan! One of my good friends has been on Wotmania for years and years, and I've just realised that's another WOT forum. She usually likes books I like, so I feel good vibes about Wheel of Time! My favourite authours are Tolkein, Pratchett, Emily Bronte and Phil Rickman, who writes Supernatural mysteries set in England, my home country. My hobbies are reading, tap-dancing, roleplaying …

Hi there, I'm your resident Freelander Division Leader and you can find us at the Role Playing part of Dragonmount (more commonly known as DM) which is directly under the Organisation/Society boards towards the bottom of the site. (here's a link to our home board: http://forums.dragonmount.com/index.php/board,82.0.html) As you have probably read in one of Barmacal's stickied threads, in Role Play you create a character that is not you and you use that character to write stories with. This is done by interacting with other characters from other players (= Role Players, RPers) in an environment created for that purpose. That environment is called the Portal Ston…

hi, so cool, a site dedicated the longest series of books I've had the pleasure of reading! My hubby got me hooked about 11yrs ago & we have fought over who got to read the new one first ever since! We bought volume 12 before christmas & I started re-reading the series when I heard the news of more coming out, as well as the sad news of Roberts passing. I have just started it and i was looking for somewhere to express my happiness so far, I'm only up to chapeter 5, only been reading since Friday night, so not too bad when there's a tonne of other stuff to do! Hubby asked if I thought it read differently, & I have to say, yes it does, but not in a jarring…

Hi all! I've been viewing the topics in these forums for quite a while and have finally decided to join in. I usually tend to keep away from forums because of how immature, unfriendly and hurtful a lot of people can be but i've yet to see anything of the kind on this website: You all seem to get along well and all seem very friendly & mature. Anyway, as you may have guessed i'm Charlie and im currently halfway through the wheel of time series (which i started reading after finding the eye of the world in a villa in spain whilst on holiday) and am thoroughly enjoying it. I'll mainly be using the topics about the game and movie adaptions, as im a huge movie fan, but w…

Hi everyone. I'm new to the WoT, and I'm about half-way through TGH, and I'm loving it. I was hooked from the Prologue in TEotW, because it was so emotional and raw, and I felt such a great story going on behind it (and when I can sense that, I'm generally right), so I'mm looking forward to reading all of the current books in the series.

I just joined the forums a few minutes ago. I have been away from the world of the Wheel of Time for a couple of years, but I used to be a regular at wotmania when it was running. In any case, reading TGS really got me back into The Wheel of Time. I'm glad to be here with you all.

Thanks to the mods for hosting this site! I've been reading WoT for ever, it seems... Every time a new book comes out I end up re-reading the whole series, I can never seem to keep all of the story lines straight! This site has certainly helped... I read TGS, and sure enough, had no clue! So, back to book 1... Although, this time on my Kindle (Which I love by the way, just wish they would release the books faster!) I am dying to find out what the BUT is! Besides the one thread under Mistborn Spoilers, are there any other threads about it? While waiting for ToM, any suggestions of other authors/series to get my fix?

I just signed up today, after a long hiatus from the series. I wanted to find a site I could corroborate some of my theories and figure out some things that confused me about events. I haven't yet read The Gathering Storm, and it's been awhile since I've read the series. I started again a few weeks ago, and am currently(as of this post)at the beginning of The Great Hunt. Glad to be a part of Dragonmount!

Hey everybody! I'm so glad to finally be a member of the best WoT Community out there. My name is Chris and I'm a huge fan of the series. I have been hooked ever since Robert Jordan walked into the bookstore I worked at in 2006 and signed my Knife of Dreams (in hardback). That was the first time I'd ever seen him. I felt bad not having ever read his works until then. I'm so glad I finally decided to pick up TEoTW (to catch up, I also started reading New Spring at the same time) and the rest is history. I feel in love with the characters, imagery, saucy Aes Sedai, and the entire series! Thorkin is my character for my book series I'm worki…

Well, just thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Matt, I'm 26 from Cleveland, Ohio. I work as a bookseller/manager for a local Borders bookstore where I try my hardest to jush Jordan's and now Sanderson's books to any who have not tried them. I recently sold the entire Mistborn series to a woman shopping the romance section, which I considered a huge win for me. 8) I started reading WoT about 2 years ago and have been hooked since. I have only read the series once unfortunately but I plan on rereading the entire series once it is finished. I am now however currently listening to the audio books starting with Eye of the World.

Hi, there. My (Nick)name is RizMan. I'm 29 and live in Luxembourg. Currently, I'm reading Knife of Dreams and I'm really enjoying reading the Wheel of Time. I have't joined the forums earlier, in fear of being spoilered for future books, but I figured that as I'm now almost done with the series - I mean, what has been published so far - I would finally join the forums here on DM. So, hi all.

Hello everyone, First I have to say how good it is take part in this community. I have passed on my love for WoT to two of my brothers-in-law, but they are still at least 3 books behind me, so having someplace to delve into the whole story is going to be a pleasure! I started reading the series in 1997, not long after Crown of Swords was realeased. A friend passed me a copy of EotW in college, and I have been a junkie since. Needless to say, my collection caught up to the chronology quickly. Then comes the waiting for the next one to release...oh the suspense! Between Robert Jordan and R.A. Salvatore, I don't know why I'm not gray-haired at 33. :)

Hello everyone, I'm obviously new here so I figured I would introduce myself. I started reading the series a few months ago, and I have been absolutely hooked since I first started Eye Of The World. I've been wanting to join a forum to discuss the books for a while, but I felt that I wasn't far enough into the series yet to really talk in depth with anyone. I'm currently on Winter's Heart and I'm just about done with it. Anyway, hello, and I look forward to posting here and meeting others who love the series.

Hello!!! Well I have been visiting the site for several years and figured it is time I finally sign up and post! I am a big fan of WOT thanks to some ladies I met while my husband was in the Marine Corps; I owe them greatly for getting me to read that first book, so thanks Mande and Dani!! I have since convinced one of my dear friends with whom I frequent a local bookstore to read WOT and she (elMoscato a lurker here)has fallen in love with it the same as I. She is just starting her first re-read while I on the other hand read a few things that I have neglected LOL. Lets see I am a big fan of most fantasy works in print and film although I find reading to b…

Thought I'd stop by and introduce myself. I've been accepted to the wondrous White Tower org as a Warder aspirant, and I'm still trying to figure out exactly what to do. Guess I'll wait 'til my mentor gets back to me. Let's see. I'm a Libra, 38 years old divorcee with two little girls, work in the criminal justice field, Air Force vet, Master's degree. I like long walks on the beach, candle-lit dinners, and hot baths with my significant...wait...this isn't that kind of site. Huge Jordan fan and I'm looking to have a good time here! Cheers! Mike

Greetings fellow travelers, long time fan and new DM recruit here. I have been and avid fan of the series since my brother accidently picked up "The Great Hunt" first, while we were at the Pittsburg airport in 1991. I also liked the Robert Jordan Conan stories, but still prefer the RE Howrds, though Jordans stories were way better than deCamps. I have two sons named....Perrin and Gareth(yes my wife loves me)although I did meet another guy in my college class who had also named his son Perrin(his wife must have loved him too). I have been using the symbiology(sp) of the novels as the basis for growing repitiore of tattoo's. 2 dragon 3/4 sleeves and mixing the zodia…

Hey everone in DM I'm new here so I thought I would say 'hello'. My name is Mark I'm a carpenter and when I'm not busy looking for a new fantasy book to read I write music or play video games. I live in a small college town in Nor Cal and love it. A place where the trees are taller than the buildings. I hate hollywood and love movies, as well as hating cable television and loving TV shows on DVD. (If you've seen Clerks it's like hating people and loving gatherings) Anyway, I'm always interested in finding a new fantasy series, so if anyone has any suggestions I would love them. I LOVE the entire WoT series. I enjoyed the first five or so books of the Sword o…

Hello all! We are being given the chance to show off a little of what being a Kinster means around here, so I hope you're prepared! *smiles* I'm Loraine, the Eldest of the Kin Org of Dragonmount. That means I get to brag because my Kinsters are the best little group of people here (and yes, I'm partial!). We do a lot of really cool things during the year and we're going to share a few of those things with you this month. There's more to be seen and fun to be had down in our Org forums, though. Feel free to wander down and hang out any time you like! We're a very open group of folks and we like it when people come to visit! Here’s the link, for easy traveling! h…

Hey, I'm Adella, or at least that's what you can call me ;) I'm 18 years young, I'm an avid member of a few forums, and I loooove to talk! I have been reading the WoT books since I was 9 years old, and I've loved them ever since I read page 1 of tEotW. Hmm.. I'm friendly, I like to meet new people, and I'm a social butterfly. I'm excited to RP a bit again, I used to do that a lot, and just to chat! :) PM me any time!

Hi there! My name is Taryn (username, "taryntula"...get it?), and I'm newish to DM...I used to sneak around wotmania but recently (since the end of wotmania) have been lurking (which makes my username ironic?) around checking forums and such on DM; until now, I have stayed safely to the sidelines...but I want to get involved and do some forum posting! Been a fan of WoT (the first 5 or 6 books got me through long hours of Art History classes in college) for probably 6 years now. Done one re-read, planning on doing one in 2010 before the next installment. I have a BA in photography, been married 1.5 years, love classic rock, and am an avid reader of all genres, but mo…

Eh hey all :) I originally found the site while looking for more infomation aboot the latest book in the Wheel of Time world (The Gathering Storm) awhile back and I have scense jumped around on Dragonmount from time to time. Iam fairly new to the site but not the series. Love to read and befor I stumbled upon Wheel of Time I read some David Eddings and Terry Goodkind, both are enjoyable writers but until I picked up my first Robert Jordan book I never relized how amazing of an experience one could submerge themselves in while turning pages. My eyes were opened and I fell hard, if you know what I mean :P Big place but Iam sure I'll see you around :)
