  1. Started by Maconar_Kerenmosa,

Hello, my name, as you may have noticed, is Maconar Kerenmosa. I have a hope to rise through the ranks and eventually become one of the more influential Aiel, but for now I'm just happy I'm allowed in! LOL. I am really just looking to make some friends who are crazed fans of these books like me! ;D

greetings and salutations! i've been reading since the beginning, have read through a bajillion times, and still find stuff i miss. like seriously, in each and every book (except CoT, which was weird and short) i learn something i didn't know or had forgotten. which is why i still love the series. i also enjoy final fantasy, lost, looking hot, long walks on the beach, pina coladas, and getting caught in the rain. ciao

Hello all, My name is Aldzar. I've read the entire WoT series and enjoy discussing what, to me, is the greatest fantasy series I have ever read. I'm from Texas which is starting to feel a little bit like the Waste about this time of year. I look forward to meeting and talking to fellow fans of Robert Jordan and the WoT.

  4. Started by Hanuman,

My name is Hanuman, and I'm currently reading the Wheel of Time series. I am also an amateur board game designer, working on a WoT board game for my friends and I to play. I will likely ask questions of you all in order to better organize my thoughts and integrate various mechanics from the books into the game. I hope you are all amenable to this. Peace

  5. Started by Malys,

Well as the title suggests I am a brand new member(however I have lurked for awhile.) So yea I liked what I saw and figured I would give it a shot and join. Some general info now I suppose. I am 25(26 here in about a week.) The Wheel of Time is fairly new to me. I started reading it in 2004 or so when my roommate at the time recommended it to me. However it took me until just a few months ago to actually complete the series. So just lurking for the little bit of time I have greatly enhanced my knowledge. Anyway that's it for now. I guess I will browse a bit more and see what I come up with.

I've been a fan of the series for well over 10yrs. I first read TEotW in 1994 at the recommendation of a friend at work. About the middle of the book, I got a little frustrated because I thought it was too boring. BUT, I thought that the best things in life require patience. Geez, am I glad that I exercised patience, because it became a major part of my life. I'm not saying that I went through a major life-change. Because I am still who I am, but the people that I hang out with changed(usually drug-dealers and troublemakers). I just wish I could find some people in my area(NorthEast Arkansas)who would be amenable to starting a role-playing game with! Please, if anyone …

Hello Dragonmount! I am a long-time sci-fi/fantasy head; usually hang out at lotrplaza. Last year I picked up the first book in the WoT series, and got hooked. I just finished the 11th book last week, and have ordered the prequel. And, it was time to seek out other RJ fans. I look forward to posting here and reading many of the threads. May you all find shade and water!

  10. Started by James Starke,

Heyy, I joined DM before, but then it just got sorta overwhelming. :P But now I'm back and I think I can tackle it. :D I'm also from TarValon.Net, and I'm Jeffan on there as well. It's good to meet everyone! Also, I've read most of the WoT books (I was up to WH, and then realized I had no idea what all was going on, so I went back to the beginning. Still on NS. :P), and I think I first started reading back in 03 or so. ^^

  11. Started by Khaona,

Hello fellow lovers of WoT! Thanks for having me on your sight:) A little bit about myself- I love reading, singing, riding my horses, playing guitar, geocaching and unicycling. I am a christian but I don't think of it as religion. It's an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. I love everyone and am funny, or I think so anyway. :P Have a great day!!

  13. Started by Chess,

It's a lovely treat to be here! I've been reading the WoT books since they were first published, and am eagerly anticipating Mr. Sanderson's upcoming book. Of course, "eager anticipation" is an accurate description of how I've spent a great deal of time since the early 90s when it comes to the Wheel of Time. That and "dedicated rereading" pretty much covers it.

Hello everyone! I read The Eye of the World in either late 89' or early 90' , re-read every book every time another came out. Yes I have read TEotW at least 10 times.... I am crazy. I have listened to all books on audio with the exception of the last one. As you can see I have been entertained by Mr. Jordans' creation for over half of my life, and will one day introdue the books to my kids. I look forward to reading everyones views and thoughts on events in the books and having friendly discussions.

Hi, I just started the series in March this year and have just finished book 6. A friend of mine borrowed book 1 to me and I have not been able to put them down. I have always passed them over while looking for a good series to read for the reason that I had it confused with another series that my brother had been reading years ago. He had both series and I had been perusing them both but did not like the story of the one and somehow got the 2 confused in my head. Silly, I know. I am soo glad my friend convinced me to start it. I cannot wait to start book 7!!!

  24. Started by BiggMann,

Been reading the Wheel of Time series since the summer of '92, although I just recently finished Book 11. Whenever a new book came out I would re-read all the preceding books over from the beginning. Aside from the obvious Rand, Avienda is my favorite major character, because she is so street. My favorite minor character is Tylin, cause she is such a freak, and I know she taught Mat a few things to wow Tuon, whom I also like. I'm from North Carolina, a graduate of NCCU, decided to join once I read all the books and listened to all the podcasts, and now I'm ready to discuss alot of ideas and thoughts. But I'm having trouble finding recent discussions.

I am a longtime reader (I think I picked up the first one around 1997), and occasional DM browser. Personally, my name is Aaron, I am 25 and am a lifelong resident of Colorado. I am an auditor by trade, and enjoy reading, running and cycling 'n stuff in my free time. And my favorite character is probably Matt; that dude is a complete badass and overall good guy, but seems to get treated like crap by half the other characters.

Not sure how this exactly works, but hey. Might as well introduce myself here! Hello hello, my name's Catherine, I'm 18 and I live in Quebec, Canada. I'm a newcomer to the series, began earlier this year. I just started reading A Crown of Swords, can't wait to finish the whole thing so I don't fear spoilers anymore! >.< My two favorite characters are Rand and Mat (well up to now, maybe I won't like how they turn out further in the story!). Rand because he is HOT. And because I realte to him so very much. Mat, well, he's such a badass and it's like every woman in there treats him bad, he really does not get the credit he deserves. I love him. No matte…

I stumbled upon WoT in May 2004 and wasn't too interested back then (they were the half-books From the Two Rivers/To the Blight) but found the whole version of EotW in August at the bookstore and have been reading them ever since. :D

Hello all, the names Mance Houndsbrey, yes, THE Mance Houndsbrey of the Silklantern days. It's been such a long time since I last looked up Silklantern, tried to last week only to discover it closed. Sadly when I heard or Mr. Jordans passing, it was already 2 week old news, due to my stationing in Felugia. Now that I'm stateside once more I felt I had to try to find another community where I could share my love and passion for the Wheel of Time series, without people rolling their eyes or wondering what the Hell I was talking about. Anyway to keep my nonsence short, it's good to be back. Hopefully I'm not the only one from Silklantern, and hopefully some of you may e…

Hi, I call myself Fikkie77 and I visited DM many times the past few years and never joined. Well, now I finally do. I will probably spend most time discussing the books and read whatever's out there about the final 3 books (in fact, I never believed all those loose ends would be dealt with in one book). As you might have guessed, I was born in 1977. July 31st to be exactly, which makes me 31 yo. I'm Dutch and untill now I've read WoT in Dutch. I won't wait for the Dutch translation of the 3 AMOL books though. When you read Dutch and start searching on the Web for more information, things are very confusing: Rand Al'Thor has become Rhand Altor (don't ask me why). …
