Introduce Yourself

If you're new to Dragonmount, stop in and introduce yourself!

  1. Started by Twysty,

I've read all the WoT years ago and just finished reding them all over again. I also recently got the audio books to listen to on my iPod. I just started listening to the podcasts today and have been sitting at my computer listeing to them all. I wish I had though to look for a WoT site beforehand since I have some of my own crazy theories about what will happen in what looks like won't be just book 12, but books 12 13 and 14. I just finished listening to Podcast 11, but I may post some of my crazy theories anyway, even though they may have already been brought up in forums I haven't seen yet or podcasts I haven't heard yet.

  5. Started by Koe,

Hey everyone! Soo, first of all, I'm portuguese... Which means my english can get pretty ugly at times :-\, BUT I'll try my best to write as clean and logical as I can. I started reading tWoT two years ago, and just finished KoD yesterday (so only the prequel is left for me to read). I read the first three books in portuguese and loved them. However, after finishing the 3rd book, the publisher was still translating the fourth. Which left me pretty mad, and with only one of two possible choices: I could wait a lifetime until the entire series was translated or I could tackle the original english books. Now, I've always loved english and got pretty good ranks at …

  6. Hi to all, I have visited this site many times when seeking information on this series but just now be came a member. I stumbled upon a hardcover copy of "The Eye of the World" in my local library while starving for something to read, it was a match made in heaven, or maybe hell :) if you ask my wife, considering the many nights I stayed up reading until the sun came up. I am very likely much older than most of the members here, a father of four, a husband of one :). I was bitten by the WoT bug and have since infected many others with it. i hope to make many friends here and learn a little while sharing different insights and perspectives. Thanks for a wonderful site

Several years ago a friend loaned me his paperback copy of Eye of the World. I've been hooked ever since. I immediately started reading and collecting hard cover first editions and agonizingly waited for each subsequent volume to appear in the bookstore. I was recently saddened to hear of RJs death. I found out a few days before I joined the forum. But I am glad that the Legacy will carry on and the tale shall be completed. My belated condolences to the family. I promise to be an erratic poster and speed read my way through many discussions to see what everyone finds as important. Whenever a new volume comes out I go back and reread the series to refresh my failing memory…

Hi everyone! I'm an Italian huge fan of WoT, I'm 15 and I live in Rome. Now I'm reading LoC and even if I'm a recently WoT fan I was totally captured since the first time I read tEOTW! It's strange how a book can change your life! =) I read the first 5 books in italian, but now I decide to read LoC in english because the italian translations are horrible! My favourite characters are Moiraine and Siuan lol ::) This forum is wonderful, it's good to be here =) Ah, sorry for my English.. It's a bit scholastic.. ;D

First read Eye of the World when it was published back in 90's and have loved the series ever since. My favourite character is Mat and I am interested in the plots surrounding the Tower of Genjhei. Very glad to have joined Dragonmount. Do any of you have advice about joining groups and roleplaying? :) Logged on in UK. Dragonmount seems to be on US time so if I ever take a while to reply to people, this is the reason :)

  12. Started by Alanna,

Hello everyone :) I'm new here. I'm a 21-year old college student from Houston, TX, and just a big lover of fantasy in general. I first read the WoT books about five years ago. I just finished reading them all through for the...third or fourth time, and in my post-reading, crazy, I-need-my-WoT-fix-now phase, I found these forums ;D My favorite character, by far, is Mat Cauthon, and my favorite book is...probably either TSR or KoD. I have a question about the Orgs, which look really cool. I was wondering, is there any limit on how many you can join? (I feel like I read something about this somewhere on here, but I don't remember where or what it said.)

Hello. My name is Jason, 26, and I live in Kansas City, Kansas. I first read tWOT about two years ago. The books are amazing and I have found myself reading about them online, leading me here. I am interested in connecting with other fans and learning their insights into the books and keeping up with news regarding the release of the final novels. Currently, my favorite character is Mat and I am excited about where his story is going. Anyway, the site looks good and I look forward to exploring it more.

Hi all, My name is Mira, I have been lurking here and other Wheel Of Time sites since 2002 and I used to be a member of Wotmania under the name Faile I think. I started reading Wheel Of Time in early 2002. Im married and live in Virginia. My favorite character is Matt. I used to like Perrin but his story line has really gotten boring lately. My favorite book is Winter's Heart and I just started re-reading all the books in preparation for the new books.

Hey guys. My time is Lyndon. I'm a long time lurker here (followed WoT news and Jordan's blog) and I am an old Wotmania (Battousai and some others that I can't recall) poster since around circa 2000. I started reading the WoT back in 1999 and I find that I still enjoy talking about it. I am currently teaching English in South Korea and am married to a beautiful woman. Anyways, I always have a hard time talking about myself but I look forward to posting on here about a variety of topics. My favorite characters are Mat and Moiraine (used to be Perrin but he's kind of loco these days), and my favorite WoT book is The Shadow Rising, which I am currently reading for…

Hello everyone! How goes? It's been...oh...6-ish years give or take since the last time I've dropped by these forums. I've managed to meander my way back, and find myself wanting to feed the urge to get back into role-playing. Sooo....that's what I am going to do! I am hoping to re-join the Gaidin, albeit under a different alias and character. Glad to be back!! What's shakin? :)

Hello. I've sort of played around on this site for about five+ years. I've been reading WoT since 1995 when I was in 8th grade. I can say there is no other series I've ever enjoyed more. I'm not sure what else I should put down about being a newbie, but if you want to know anything about me, just ask, and I'll do my best to answer. Michelle

  24. Hey everybody, glad I found this place. I read EotW a few months after it was published in 1990 and was hooked. I have now spent half my life rereading the current book and anxiously awaiting the next one and loving every minute of it ;). I have reread the entire series around 20 times now and worn out numerous copies(It's time to reinvest again on a few). Anyway, just wanted to say 'hey' and how good it is to find a place to discuss my all time favorite series!

and chapesses of course. Delighted to be here. I've just finished my nth or something reread of the WoT series and felt the need to find a place to converse with other addicts and learn more about those lovely little details. When not reading the Wheel of Time, I study military history and curse the infernal midges that have claimed my rugby pitch again. I look forwards to meeting all of you.

Hello. I just joined. I have been reading (and re-reading) the books since about 2000. I love the series and have been a big fan. I am very excited to see the finality of the series coming with the first of the last three books this year (hopefully). I am also glad we will get to see how this ends soon. I am about to start the series over again so it will be fresh for me when the next book comes out. I have been reading the news and such at dragonmount for a few years and decided to do a couple of posts. You guys have alot of intersting things being discussed here. Anyways, glad to be aboard.

Hello everyone, I am very new to WoT, but not at all new to the fantasy genre. I am currently on the first book in this magnificent series, and I am already hooked. I'm on school holidays at the moment, and am worried about how I will put the book down and recommence my studies in a week's time! Yikes! Anyway, aside from my newfound infatuation with Robert Jordan's work, I am a huge LOTR fan, as well as A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin. So, Hello! Amber. x
