http://www.dragonmount.com/Books/forsaken_pics.php It goes up to Moghedien and then stops. Perhaps there's a 4 year old topic somewhere in the gallows of this forum, but I can't find it. Can someone tell why this was interrupted?

(I tried to find this in the encyclopedia but could only find info for the Price Regent/First Price of the Sword.) What are his royal duties other then to keep the Queen warm at night and provide sperm to produce heirs? Thanks :)

It makes no sense to me - why did Masema join with Perrin and Tylin, leading 20K of his followers to death? He's lost the majority of them now and what did he gain? What did he hope to gain? Aram failed to kill Perrin but Masema didn't have to join with Perrin for Aram to have a chance to kill him.....

I was just thinking about how the wolves were calling rand shadowkiller earlier in the series, they even seem to say it with awe. how is it that the wolves can sense that he is the dragon reborn?

I've tried looking it up here: http://www.stevenac.net/wot/wotchron.htm But to no avail, and reading through the books will take a while. Better I ask here, where so many fans are gathered, one of whom might know so immediately.

Hi. I've been reading the board for a while and haven't seen this addressed, so here goes. Ishy was free for 40 years out of every 1000, meaning he should have aged 120 years during his imprisonment - while he was "free". But the fact that he was able to get free at all implies he was even less caught than Aginor and Balthamel, so one would expect he aged at least as much as they did while bound, possibly even more. Yet there doesn't seem to be any indication of that, or that he was recycled before becoming Moridin. Any thoughts?

I know he is spoiling the food and has been affecting the weather, along with ressurecting chosen and forever blowing bubbles of evil. Yet i can't help wonder what limit he has, seeing as Moraine used to say how his touch on the world was weak with the seals intact etc. He's made his avatar, shadar huran (sp) and he is impressively strong. Now i know this would make an extremely boring book but, couldn't he just have forsaken reborn into bodies which have insanely high limits for their saidin/saidar? I know they already have this, but i mean - the wheel spun out Rand, immensley strong (as strong as ishy) to give them a fighting chance. The Dark One had 13 at his disp…

So, deep breath, first post from a complete newbie... Just re-reading the whole WOT from NS to KOD having read the whole once before a few years ago. I'm struck by the coincidences surrounding Thom. It's either poor, unsophisticated writing (OK, discount that idea), or there's something more to Thom than the books tell us so far. Coincidences/remarkable incidents I can recall so far (only just re-finished tDR): 1) Thom shows up in Emond's Field at the same time as Moiraine and Lan, Padan Fain, and a load of trollocs 2) Thom bests a fade (OK, I've read the other threads and this has been discussed at length - I can buy that someone as good as Thom …

I haven't seen much about those who are currently and actively betraying the Light. Since I don't believe for a second that I've identified all of them, I hope others will add to my small start. I'll start with Rand's attack on Rahvin. At the time he makes his snap decision, only Asmodean, Moiraine, Egwene, Aviendha, and Mat are with him. So far as the books tell us they are the only ones he tells about what he intends to do. His orders regarding the Aiel are general. He will be leaving. He will take men, but no women. That's it. Yet, the next morning, when Nynaeve captures her, Moghedien knows exactly what Rand is up to. How? Asmodean is too terrif…

I'm having trouble remembering who Aran' Gar and Osan' Gar were before they first died. I'm pretty sure Osan' Gar was Aginor, but who was Aran' Gar? Balthamel?

I recently got hold of the complete Wheel of Time series as audiobooks, and I was listening to the Great Hunt when something Elayne says caught my attention. This is from when Elayne is introducing Min to Egwene. Did you notice what I meant? Min said "husband", apparently. Unless Elayne and Rand marry just before Tarmon Gai'don, which I don't really see happening, their marriage must happen afterwards. It is not hard evidence -- Elayne could have misunderstood Min, for instance -- but it is at least a hint. Something else caught my attention too. In The Fires of Heaven, Rand is fighting Rahvin in Tel'aran'rhiod, when he suddenly starts becoming…

I'm re-reding the books and yesterday I found, what may be a tiny flaw, I could be mistaken though. How come Asmodean can't teach Rand to Travel? He claims that shielded as he is, he's simply to weak to show him. Later in the books though, we see a *very* weak Sorilea [at least power-wise] teach Cadsuane how to travel [producing flow's that are too weak to form a gateway, but showing her how-to] AND Egwene smugly showing, how she can weave seven [at least i think it was seven] balls of light all diffrent colors and sizes, making them swirl around, shoking even her Aes Sedai guards [Egwene doubts that even they could divide their flow's that much]. …

Is Rand the only one around who can see the Forsaken's link with the dark one? He severs this link thrice( if I remember correctly)twice with Ishamael, and once with Asmo. None of the other channelers seem to notice this link. (eg. Nynaeve and others didn't with Moghedien) Please provide d link if this has been discussed bfore.

I always wanted to know since I have read tDR. Moiraine not only knows there is a forsaken in Illian and Tear and even know who they are. I thought only Rand remembered their faces. In KoD even Cadsuane(who is far more experienced than Moiraine) fails to identify Semirhage. If this is discussed anywhere else in DM, please give me d link :) ;)

Just after Rand gained Callandor he used it for the first time in the beginning of book four. Myrdraal and Trollocs were invading the stone, and Rand used it to throw lighning with unerring accuracy that shot through the entire stone wiping out only shadowspawn while leaving all his allies intact. That's some pretty amazing precision, and was a great scene. Fast forward four books. RJ has realized 'Uh oh, I gave my main character a tool that will allow him to easily accomplish most tasks. I know, I'll have him jam it in the stone and never use it again!' The sword would have made a number of situations easier. Imagine Rand striking down the Shaido army when…

Well in my opinion Mat is probably first, with Rand/LTT & Demandred tied for second. The rest of them are probably about a tie. Mat first because of all the memories and LTT and Demandred second because of their experience in the AoL. Of the rest, it is hard to place one above the other because we haven't really seen them fight much.

The following is a question I have always had on circles... When Sareitha is asked by Renaile about why the Aes Sedai studied cirlces this was the response. My questions are these. 1. What was the disaster that happened to the Aes Sedai studying circles with the Men who could channel. 2. What did Sareitha not tell the others about circles that has Elayne catching her voice change. For the first question, I assume that a male channeller found some way out of the circle and caused some major damage. But the second question is all speculation on my part at this point. Any theories would be appreciated.

So, here I think we should list things we wouldnt like to see happen. It could be anything from an event you dont want to occur, a theory you dont want to be true, or an answer to a long-asked question you dont want to hear. Here are my first few things. I dont want Rand to be dead at the end. I feel that his character arc still has a way to go in terms of his "skill" so to speak, and as a result of all the viewings and whatnot Ive always believed that Rand might find a way to sacrifice himself in a way that allowed him to be alive again at some point, somehow. My view on that was reinforced by Mins viewing of Alivia helping Rand die. And I feel that Rands return is …

After reading some of the Great Hunt over again, there seems to be more than is first apparent about Captain Aldrin Caldevwin. He appears in the inn after Rand and Selene have the Choeden Kal and we never seem him again, except for a brief mention at the foregate in Cairhien when Rand thinks he sees him. What makes him odd though, is that Selene almost instantly dislikes him and acts as if he is a threat. He also is interested in the Choeden Kal (and may be the one that convinced the King to start the excavation) Not only that, his line of questions on Rand seem a bit odd and the fact that the guard at the foregate told Rand he was not there. The last two could be due to …

What are some character interactions you would like to see in the last books? Anything from old friends or lovers being reunited, anticipated showdowns, or characters who've never met that you would like to see come face to face. I will start off with three of mine though there are many more. I really want to see Siuan and Elaida face to face again. I just got through TSR on my 'nth time through the audiobooks, and it brought back to me how furious Siuan was after the coup. It had kind of gotten lost on me with Egwene taking center stage so much recently, but Siuan has more reason than any to want to slap Elaida silly. I mean, she killed her warder for no reason. Tha…

So one or the other, it kinda caught me the other day that most of the forsaken arent that old, right? Or have i missed something about the AOL, did they live for hundreds and hundreds of years before they were sealed away? because thing is, a dreamless sleep for 3000 years can hardly give any real benefits, right? if anything it would make you abit unsteady once you are awakened again. So say Semiragh vs Cadsuane. We got one forsaken who knows alot of AOL weaves, and politics from that age + proberly abit from Randland since she was awakened. But all in all - unless she lived for hundreds and hundreds of years before she was sealed, she can hardly match Cadsuane in …

hello everybody just reread the NS and got intrigued again by the actions of the black and red ayah's after the aiel war there is a good summary here: http://linuxmafia.com/jordan/2_nondark/2.4_yore/2.4.11_vileness.html But here comes my question: there are just so many referrals to this episode throughout the series that I was wondering if there isn't something more to it all. Gitara Moroso's involvement and foretellings thicken the plot even more. Any big (or small) theories or ideas?
