I havn't decided where i stand on this yet, but given that a hundred thousand Trollocs got through the ways intact in one group, and added to the fact that we know large groups attract Machin Shin faster, a mere thousand drawing it almost instantly, there is some possibility that it isn't around anymore. This could be because of the destruction of the taint, though in truth i dont see how. We have never seen any evidence of a relationship between Machin Shin's continued existence and that of the taint. Additionally given that certain other effects of the taint linger on following its destruction, this seems even more unlikely. Another possible explanation is that …

We all know that Moridin can see through Rands eyes, and it's most likely because of when their balefire connected. But can Rand see through Moridins eyes??????? Maybe all Rand needs is practice and he'll be able to do it. Then he could find out about the plans that are being made on the dark side.

I have been thinking about this for a while now; I remember the subject being brought up here. What if the wheel is spitting out people to help Rand to replace those few forsaken and other characters that assited LT in the last battle (I dare not say first battle). I base my assumptions on Taim, being much like Sammuel (LT could not have accomplished what he accomplished without Sammuel) and Rand having three wives instead of one (LT Balefired his old wife Ileyna (sp)) and maybe Av, Elayne and Min make up who Ileyna was. I see the old forsaken being destroyed and thirteen new forsaken being sealed away. This is just a theory.

For the last 6 books of the WoT series, it is blatantly obvious that RJ has been deliberately stalling the ending--and for what other reason than profit? Unless he has OCD for writing the slowest fantasy story ever written, with the most number of useless characters, dialogues and subplots! I mean let's face it: How many pages were actually worth reading in books 6-11? Since LoC, RJ has done nothing but rip us off with page fillers full of unnecessary detail with only the endings worth noting--and not all endings at that! Then he recently released this 2-part young adult version of TEotW and these New Spring prequels--I mean, how much does he need to profit from the WoT …

Okay I read somewhere that RJ said that Olver is NOT Gaidal. But Olver is: 1) Great with horses. And so is Gaidal. 2) Learning the "art of war". 3) Mucho ugly. And so is Gaidal-- and in the same ways. Short, big ears, big mouth, etc. I can't see Charlz Guybon as Gaidal Cain... And I can't see RJ lying. Who do you think Gaidal Cain is?

Of course some of the forsaken are dead and gone but I'm sure that a few new baddies will be locked in with the DO so that the parents of the 4ht Age will have some names to frighten their children with when they refuse to eat their vegitables. So who do you think it will be? Any particular darfreinds or Black Ajah members? Will any of the remaining Forsaken get sealed in again?

There have been times when Rand and LTT would work together; and to each other they would be sane, and then LTT would start going on about a madman in his head or just laugh and sound mad. In KoD LTT tells Rand that he should trust him. What if whenever rand needs to use the source, he lets LTT use it and do what LTT says (like raise my hands); that way Rand will learn a lot more, and be able to face anyone and probably win. Also come the Last Battle it could be LTT channelling, and should the Dark One lash out at Rand to kill him. Instead of killing Rand, he kills LTT; as he is only able to kill the soul or spirit actually holding the One Power. Just a bit of…

I just find it disturbing how Rand seems so weak treating his enemies, in particular the White Tower. Lesser men then him have almost broken the Tower. I believe it was Guaire Amalasan, when he was captured his Generals started a last desperate assault on the White Tower itself, burst through the walls of Tar Valon and broke into the inner courtyard of the Tower itself. Now to make it almost into the core of the Tower, means quite a few Tower guards, warders and Aes Sedai died or were knocked out of action (but as we know the Aes Sedai obsession with appearing strong, probably all dead Aes Sedai were denied and the whole affair played down, until it was mentioned by Moira…

I was looking at the map of Seanchean in the world and i was curious as to what the Tower of Midnight is (in Imfarel). Is this ever mentioned or is it a misprint for Tower of Ravens? Or is it just a random thing that has no story and no consequence?

Has anyone heard anything otherwise? Are there any other sites or forums that update us on how our good friend is doing? Thanks

There's so much mystery surrounding Sherian. Which side is she on? I'm pretty sure this has come up before and if you think it's tedious answering this question don't bother.

As has been pointed out in many places, Time in Randland is circular and pretty well fixed circular at that. There is room for slight variation in the exact series of events that takes place throughout the Ages of the Wheel, but overall, all of Life and Time is preordained to come to the same series of points. Over and over again. Given that this series is a saga about the struggle centering on one of those node points, was this a useful paradigm for the author to adopt? Doesn't it rob the whole series of any ultimate suspense? Sure, we get the minor suspenseful moments - will Nynaeve ever break her block? - will Perrin ever find Faile again? etc., but the big …

I apologize if this has been dicussed before, but does anyone else think this book will see the end of the Red Ajah? Firstly, Elaida, raised from the Red has to be the Worst-Amrilyn-Ever. Worse than Bowhin. She split the Tower, abuses her power, and is about to get attacked by the Seanchan, even after being forewarned by Egwene. Secondly the Red Ajah will be bonding with Ashaman and it won't surprise me if they only bond with Taim's cronies who are all Darkfriends (at least I think they are). And Lastly, probably the biggest reason for the demise of the Red Ajah is the fact that Rand has cleansed the taint so there will be no reason to hunt down and gentle men who can cha…

Just as things are getting interesting she has to go away, but I wonder if the longrange communication stuff she identified will come in handy later, and a knife that will hide you from the DO, it was mentioned when they did the very first sort that she glommed on to it. well it was interesting to me!

Anyone ever watch the cartoon Mighty Max? It was a pretty cheesy show but Norman, Max's guardian, is totally how I picture Lan (minus the strange outfit). The first episode is in YouTube if anyone is curious.

One of the bigger mysteries in tWoT is the role the Seanchan are going to play in Tarmon Gai'don. Rand has made it his mission to achieve an alliance with the Seanchan, moving out a large portion of his troops to Illian and Arad Doman to stop the Seanchan advances and perhaps force them into an alliance. Egwene dreams of an attack against the White Tower by the Seanchan, and that one will save her. We see some evidence of this throughout the books as well. Tuon and Mat get married, but Mat still expects to meet the Seanchan on the battlefield. For A Memory of Light, what do you think will happen? Will Rand get an alliance with the Seanchan? Will this…

okay, now any speculation about Logain's Future Glory? I can think of two slightly different possibilities. 1. Logain survives the Last Battle and builds the Dark Tower on the memory of Rand al'Thor, becoming a less radical version of Masema. 2. Logain survives the last battle and becomes the Dragon, so to speak.

I don't have my books on hand, so bear with me, Throughout the series, there is made mentions of 3 days. In the EotW when Rand and Mat go to the Queens Blessing, the innkeeper siad that he wouldn't believe that Thom was dead until he had seen his body 3 days dead. And I believe Nynaeve says something like she believes that someone can't be healed even if there meant to be dead, they can't be heal unless there 3 days dead. So after the Last Battle Rand will be dead, but this will be in order so he can rid of LTT and them Nynaeve will heal him just before the end of 3 days and Rand will live. Your thoughts

I know that Siuan Sanche Lied when she said that the Red Ajah used Logain. But what if, while lying she actually hit on a truth? Think about it, Galina Casban, who is a known Black Ajah was Head of the Red Ajah for 18 years. How long has the red ajah headed the hunt for male chanellers, and think of Owyn, Thom Merrilyns nephew

Well this is just a random thought I've had ever since I finished KoD. When I say random, I mean random like; How much of the population in the Borderlands have a Malkieri heritage. Will they all react like Aldragoran, Gorenellin, and Managan did? If Lan were to get a sizable force, do you think he would tell blacksmiths how to craft the traditional Malkieri armor. What kind of impact will it have on the shadow when they see the flag flying and an army behind it. I know there is no way to assume until Lan is mentioned in MoL, but it's just something I think about sometimes. I just wanted to see some of your thought's on this

This might be a slight spoiler if you haven’t read KoD. I want to draw your attention to RJ’s Alfred Hitchcock moment in KoD when Elayne and Avi find a bearded man with a book. It turns out to be a library of fiction and nonfiction books. Who here thinks the information locked away inside that bad boy will provide information that speeds up the next book? What do you think is the one thing that Rand and co. needs to learn from the library?
