Hey all, I've bought these original pen drawings more about 6-7 years ago, got them framed and always absolutely love them but lately for financial reasons i've been thinking of selling them. I was wondering if there is any interest in them here. I've checked charles keegan sites and none of the WoT related original artwork is still for sale I bought these many years ago right when they came up for sale and immediately bought the 3 ones I loved the most. These drawing were made the scarscape WoT series (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/187049.From_the_Two_Rivers) etc. These drawings were made for inside the book every book has a couple of these drawings inside. I got 3…

Hi everyone, I am a long time fan of The Wheel of Time of about 20 years. I live in Finland and originally started reading the books in finnish though I have long since moved on to the english versions. I have recently started collecting the books cause I felt that it was an important book series for me. I like the aesthetics and the feel of the hardcover books so I decided to get those of each book. As I have been gathering the books, first randomly finding them in antiqiarian bookshops in Finland and buying them on holidays abroad, I have come to realize that I want a uniform look for my collection. That look is the one with the original art for the dust jackets and the…

Members of Dragonmount, It is with great regret that I must inform you, do to ever increasing cost of internet services, servers, networking equipment and electricity, Dragonmount now costs us more than ever to run. The Administration and I have discussed a number of options and have decided that, to help cover the costs for running and upkeep of the site and forums, we will be switching to a downloadable content system wherein certain features will cost money (USD) for you to use. We are hereby giving all our users a two week notice that, as of April 14th, the following changes will be placed into effect. Users will be allowed to select one free avatar when they join…

I'm about halfway through the first Belgariad book in audio format, and I'm becoming increasingly annoyed with the protagonist, Garian (forgive my spelling if it's incorrect-- I am listening to the book rather than reading it). He is incompetent to the point that he isn't very believable. Specifically, it's his...I dunno...ignorance? Naivete? He doesn't ask about his mother until he's around six years old or so, then he doesn't ask about his father until some time later (and does not persist with his questioning in either instance, as any other child would), and then when he's approaching adolescence, he and his friends finally discuss his odd birthmark, something that he…

What is considered "fanfiction", and what is considered outright plagiarism? I ask this because I recently saw some information written by an individual in another community entirely, that was blatantly from The Wheel of Time. I don't necessarily want to start any trouble, but as someone who is an artist (and what is writing if not an art?), this always alarms me a little bit. Input?

Hey guys, I just wanted to let yall know about a site that a friend and I are starting centered around Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss. Its brand new we literally set it up yesterday at the time of this post. There didn't seem to be any similar fansite to Dragonmount or 17thshard, so we decided there should be a place for that community to meet as well. I contributed to the Structured section of this site under the account Padraic_Seebrr back in the "glory days" when the last three books had yet to come out. What I hope to accomplish with this site (www.thecrockery.org) is to recapture the essence of that time with a series that has not yet finished. Tha…

So for a vacation here shortly me and my fiancee are going on a treasure hunt here in north america. I have not yet even attempted to solve the clues he left. There are 9 in a poem and various ones he has released over the years. He hid it five years ago, and no one has found it yet. It could already be gone or a hoax, but I think it will be fun no matter what. If you have any ideas or figure out a clue let me know! It is valued at over 1m dollars Here is Forrest’s poem with nine clues to a million dollar treasure As I have gone alone in there And with my treasures bold, I can keep my secret where, And hint of riches new and old. Begin it where warm water…

Hey all, thought you all would like this, I participate in a few Larps in the north west and I figured I'd get a shield custom designed to fight with. The wonderful people at Plithacorn Productions, a startup company making these kind of things, made this for me and I can't wait to use it on the field. My daughter Avi is going to love using this when she is older.
