O.k. Lews has the right idea. Let there be a questions thread. Let his be a gripe thread. And let this be a thank you thread! It seems to me that there are a smattering of thanks here and there but our staff did an amazing a mount of work for us and its time to start applauding them!!!!!!!!!!! So what do you like about the new boards? What are some things that you are glad they did? I am really grateful for the transfer of the avatars and siggys by Mother. I understand she did everyones herself!!! Thank you Mother!

If anyone out there has obscenely large amounts of money to spend, I found a website where you can buy Dragon Brooches or a heron-mark sword. That's all they sell from WoT but they have pages of LotR and other licensed products that are worth checking out for the rich among us.[/url]http://www.museumreplicas.com/webstore/BrowseProducts.aspx?SearchCriteria=__C__2997&GroupId=&CategoryId=&SubCategoryId=&ActionSource=LINK:9

The writer of The Name of the Wind,Patrick Rothfuss, did/is doing an author question and answer here on the Illuminator forum for those of you who don't know. I just grabbed the book a few days ago and I love it. It is a great book. If you have some extra money and are looking for a good book you should definitely get it.

and I know I'm gonna get killed here, but I have to let it out. In Crossroads of Twilight RJ used his favorite word 3 times in the first hundred pages. poleaxed I was wondering what the over/under is for the last book. I say he uses it at least 7 times.

Well I suggested it and Empy is making me do it so here I am. I'm going to ask you a few questions on Gaming, Films and Television. Once we have a sizeable body of replies, over the Seanchan we'll be able to cater discussions to tastes that are widely popular here at DM. So here goes. Film 1) What is/are your favourite genre/s of film? 2) Name one or several favourites films. 3) Are there any Actors or Actresses whose work you are interested in? 4) Are there any directors whose work you are interested in? 5) Any Films that have been released or are going to be released that you would like to discuss? Gaming(I know little about Gaming so please feel free t…

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this. I saw The Hoax last night. (It was pretty good.) *** Possible movie spoiler info to follow... I don't think it is, but YMMV. Don't read it if you are REALLY looking forward to seeing this movie. ****** Anyway, at the end of the movie they are burning a bunch of books, supposedly the unauthorised biography of Howard Hughes. As more books are tossed into the conflagration, several of them flutter open and you can tell by the book liner and chapter logos that they are from the WoT series. I laughed out loud in the theater and everyone looked at me. lol. I just thought I'd share. If somebody else has …

I have just finished the series A Song of Ice and Fire. Now I am looking for what to read. There are plenty of lists that I have seen for favorite fantasy series, but I don't know exactly what they have read. Obviously someone who never read the Wheel of Time series couldn't put in their list. So I want to ask about a few series which I have seen quite a lot in the lists. If you don't see your favorite series on this but you think it is good then please just put it on. For the record the series which I have read: Wheel of Time A Song of Ice and Fire Chronicles of Narnia Lord of the Rings Space Trilogy (C.S. Lewis) only the first two... Harry Potter ------ …

I just finished the first 3 books in the series and I was wondering if they are all as slow as the first three. And also, if the rest of the books continue on having this formula of walking for 500 pages and then having the giant climax. I know this sounds kinda mean, but I don't want to read the books if they are all like the first three so can you save me the suspense. Thanks a bunch.

In the last few months the Artist Chapter House and the Scribe Chapter House were collaborating on a book project. The Scribes are still hard at work creating the world and environment for the book. The Artist Chapter House's assigment was to receive written bio's from the Scibes or ourselves, and create images from them. (This is just a small part of the job of an Illustrator) We then, turn those images over to the scribes to use (if they need) as visual guides to aid in their writing. Not that they need much help *lol* If this project becomes popular, we will look forward to working in the future with the Scribes to do another similar project. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~…

We have a new catergory, "Dragonmount Special Events". If you are registered, you should be able to see the Euromeet planning board. This is also the new home of the Empy Awards board, the Dragonmount Birthday board and whatever planning board I decide to set up for Dragon*Con this year. There may be other boards that pop up from time to time, but for now that's all that exists.

So I was really bored last night when I was laying in bed and I couldn't think.. so I grabbed my buddies LapTop and searched for maps on WoT and a few Lord Of The Rings Map's popped up... It is insanely crazy, i don't know if any of you noticed it but the books remind me of LoTr a bit.. its sick.. Here are a few examples.. Mydraal and the Wring Raith's.. similar, Yes?? I personally think so.. even though there is only 9 wring wraith's but still.. same style of look to me, black cloak covering them, etc.. The Maps.. After i saw one from LoTr i opened up my Path of Daggers books and looked at the maps.. It looks like Europe to me + germany and stuff... Lik…
