Well people I've loved it here, but lately haven't been on much, the reason is, that I was totally addicted before, and had to get away to do anything. I will still be at the Band, that's probably the only forum I'm gonna be on, believe me, this is the last one I'm signing off. Well, I am gonna stay on one MMORPG, but it don't take up so much time not nearly so much. I will return at times for maybe a day or two, but not for a long while, if ever, will I return for more than that. I'm sorry guys, soon I'm gonna be just another name, lost in the mists of time, forgotten, like Oos, like Shauna, you don't remember these names? That's what I mean, in a few months perhaps some…

Inexplicable. David Eddings for the 2007 Darwin Awards? Luckily, no-one was hurt and none of his important documents were lost, but he lost his prized sportscar and some of his equipment and his fax machine. Still, perhaps there are other ways of finding out if that puddle on the floor is in fact gasoline rather than, you know, setting fire to it to see what happens?

Ok so I've reread the WoT books like 4 times and am rereading the Ice and Fire books by Martin. Love both as they are written for thinking minds and have great plots and writing while being very different. I have read all (except the newest) Goodkind books and can't bring myself to read them again. I thought they were very simple writing compared to Jordan and Martin. The books I've tried but seem written for children are the Shanarra books (couldn't make it past two) and the Pawn of Prophecy books by Eddings (again lost it by book 2). I love Jordan and Martin but am tired of waiting a couple years between books so are there any really good epics that are do…

This is the unofficial(meaning I am doing this myself) Dragonmount version of Daes Dae'Mar, the game of accusations, deception, bluffing, outright lying, backstabbing, murder, etc. I will start a new thread once the game is to begin. Read all instructions before posting. The object of the game is to eliminate both the Dragonsworn and the Darkfriends from the community because of their strings of murders. Be careful, though, because YOU may be accused of being a Dragonsworn or a Darkfriend! There are two cycles to this game. The night cycle, and the day cycle. DAY: During the day, you can discuss amongst yourselves about who you believe are the Dragonsworn …

This is a small thing a noticed while i was at Barnesandnobles.com at the new and used book part. I noticed things like The Dragon Reborn for $935.00, Fires of Heaven for $825.00 and so on, the whole list is here http://search.barnesandnoble.com/used/titleresults.asp?x=37&PEAN=&z=y&TTL=&CNT=Robert+Jordan&PRC=500%2D1000&y=7 What Gives? Is there anything really that special about these specific books to make them worth almost $1000?

Just did a review of this book for my blog, and thought I'd share with the good folk of DM.com: If there was one book that emerged as the runaway most spectacular epic fantasy debut of 2006, it was Scott Lynch's excellent The Lies of Locke Lamora. However, in the fuss over this book Gollancz also slipped out a book that is very nearly its equal for quality: The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie. No doubt the fact that Lamora was published very quickly in both the UK and USA, whilst Blade has to wait until September 2007 for its US debut is mainly responsible for this oversight. The Blade Itself couldn't have a more traditional epic fantasy storyline: The Union of Mi…

I am going to try and use blender3d to build a open source wheel of time action/rpg game. following the books. I have read 10 of the series the prequel and half of knife of dreams. but the last time I read the first book was a long time ago so I need some questions answered by the people that count-the fans. first: what was the setting in the beginning of the first book? I thought it was an Autumn setting.you know when rand is still in the 2 rivers. second It would help a lot in the character modeling process to have good concept art of each character. and it needs to be what they looked like in the first book since they have changed quite a bit it seems. so send …

Hey everyone, I'm fairly new to Dragonmount, but I've been a long-time fan of the Wheel of Time series. I work as a Flash Game designer in my spare time, and run my own gaming website. I'm currently in the planning stages for my next game: An RPG set in the Wheel of Time world. While most of the specifics are yet to be decided, I wanted to bring my project to this forum to see if anyone is interested in helping with artwork. RPGs are notoriously difficult to create due to their graphics-heavy design requirements, and I'd like to not spend three years of my life drawing an environment--especially since I'm a terrible artist. Also, because I'm such a huge fan of…

Since Fader asked about this recently, here we go again. This thread is for you to ask me questions and receive answers. You can ask me about DM history, WoT trivia, my personal life, or bizarre trivia. Your questions my be silly or serious, and my answers may be silly or serious. I'll keep answering until I get bored or you run out of questions.

I have joined Dragonmount and a few other WoT RPing sites but have found them too large and hard to figure out, so in my search for a small WoT community I found Stories of The Wheel. A small site just starting out and searching for new members. I have quickly come up in the ranks and have become a moderator. It is totally open RPing on a small personal scale. If you are interested just visit... http://wheelstories.s3.bizhat.com/index.php?mforum=wheelstories

Hello everyone!!! I'm getting into the habit of (occasionally) plugging my own music, though it's tough for someone as inherently shy as myself!! Guess I'm going to have to become a shameless harlot if I want to be a famous rock star, though ;) So here I am practising!!! If anyone else has music on MySpace I would like to know about that too *g*. Meanwhile, here is mine: http://www.myspace.com/woodysagirl :) P.S. I just have to say that I love MySpace. I know that it has a bad reputation, I mean that serial killer guy had a page there!!! But I have found some truly awesome artists on there that I otherwise would probably never have heard of, so I have almo…

We had a Christmas wish thread on the WT board last month. You had to post your Christmas wishes and if someone could grant it, they would try. Ben T wished for a silly story. Therefore, all blame should be directed at him. Merry DMas It was a cool, wintery day in Atlanta. The weather forced me to cover up my festive, DMas bathing suit with a t-shirt. I sighed, wondering when this cold snap would end, as I put out my holiday goodies for the Annual Admin DMas party. This week, we were celebrating it in early December. We had originally celebrated it the week after Christmas, but every year it was later and later, until finally it came back around to December. …

To the Cohen family. Yes, I am now the proud owner of a hamster named after NY Jets Coach Eric Mangini. The saga of his arrival involves 2 dead quail, whole milk, skim milk, a disappearing zebra finch named Atticus and a pet store attendant who is probably still laughing.

For those of you in the dark (eyes the SG members reading the board), this is the main theme on the Seanchan boards. If you have an interest or want to discuss something concerning Movies, TV or Gaming, please drop by the boards and say hello or post some specific. It is also the secret location where Kathana goes to pole dance. HOT!

Which SF&F books are you most looking forward to in 2007? My money is on: 1. A Dance with Dragons by George RR Martin Book 5 of A Song of Ice and Fire ETA: Late 2007 (touch wood) Unfortunately delayed from this year, the fifth volume in the modern fantasy masterpiece brings back all the characters missing from the fourth book, introduces some new ones (for the last time) and, generally, unleashes hell on the Seven Kingdoms. 2. Red Seas Under Red Skies by Scott Lynch Book 2 of The Gentleman Bastard ETA: 21 June 2007 The Lies of Locke Lamora was the big fantasy debut of 2006 and the already-finished sequel is sparking a lot of pre-publicity hype eigh…

Just thought a lot of people here would like to know this. JK Rowling has revealed the title of the last Harry Potter novel at her official site. Go to the room of requirement, open the door and play the game. If you can't open the door, I think all fan sites already have the solution. http://www.jkrowling.com Hmmmm, is she really sure she's chosen the best title of the three she had? :?
