Seanchan Mafia

Don - The Don is the head of the Family. This rank is held by the current Seanchan Org Leader.

Current: Emperor

Underboss - Usually appointed by the Boss, is the second-in-command of the family. The Underboss is considered the Captain that is in charge of all of the other Capos, who is controlled by the Don. The Underboss is usually first in line to become Acting Boss if the Don is unable to serve.

Consigliere - Specialty Rank, could be held by someone outside of the org. Acts as special adviser to the Family.

Capo - Short for caporegime. Capos head groups or squads of Soldiers. They report directly to the Don and act as liaisons between the Don and the Soldiers. The number of capos varies depending on the overall size of the Family. A capo acts like a lieutenant, leading his own section of the Family. They each have specific activities for which they are responsible.

Soldier - Soldiers (soldatos), known as "made men/women", are members of the Family. Soldiers start as Associates that have proven themselves. When "the books are open", meaning that there is an open spot in the Family, a Capo (or several Capos) may recommend an up-and-coming Associate to become a new member. In the case that there is only one slot and multiple recommendations, the Don will decide. The new member usually becomes part of the Capo's crew that recommended him.

Associate - The beginning rank for all SC members. An Associate is not a member of the SC Mafia. The Seanchan Rank system has no point system or clear cut way for advancing to the ranks of Soldier. Associates that wish to become part of the mafia must make their intentions clear (SC members do not have to become part of the mafia if they only want to participate in discussions on the SC boards). The most common way to become noticed by Capos is to be active in the SC board discussions.
