I've actually never listened to Tool before. (Though I've heard of them, of course.) Time to go do that.

Tool was the background soundtrack to every bad thing I ever did in high school.

Apparently the vocalist for Tool is also the dude from A Perfect Circle. That I did not know, but in my defense I just learned about A Perfect Corcle like a month ago.

I can't say I'm a fan, sorry. The singer's voice is just too quiet and overpowered by the music.

I don't like Tool much. Source seems good. Of course I've not listened to much of either.

I'd easily rank Maynard in my top 10 vocalists ever personally.  ^_^

I don't know if I'd put him in my top 10 Shad, but I'd say top 25.

 

I'd say David Draimen, (Disturbed) Chad Gray (Mudvayne) and Robert Plant (Zep) are top ten shoe-ins if I were to sit down and list them.

I wouldn't put any of those three in my top million, but haters gonna hate.

As for top 10 vocalists, I'm not sure...for sure Hansi Kursch (Blind Guardian,) Roy Khan (Kamelot,) Floor Jansen (Nightwish,) and Matt Smith (Theocracy) would be up there.

How did I forget David Draimen? He's great too! And Simone Simons (Epica.) And Tommy Karevick. And the other two Nightwish vocalists...yep, way too many good singers around.
