Britain, Britain, Britain!

Featured Replies

I posted this just before the board meltdown of aught seven and figured I'd put it up again. For those of you not familiar with the british series "Little Britain", take a few moments to review some of these sketches from one of the most brilliantly funny things to come out of the British Isles since the invention of the cat.

Think of it as an extra-raunchy Monty Python. And if you have Netflix, it deserves to be in your queue. Except for disc 2 of season 1. You can skip that one. The rest of the seasons are great, though.

Here are some of the sketches I found on youtube:

Emily opens a ladies shop: Isn't it wonderful being a lady? I am one!"

Daffyd meets a friend: It's so hard being the only gay in the village.

Lou and Andy visit the aquarium: Ya, I know.

Mr. Mann goes shopping: I'm looking to buy a painting of a disappointed horse.

Vicky stays after class: Don't give me evils!

Sadly, I am not a great Little Britain fan anymore. I feel all the sketches are now very much a like, and the individuality and uniqueness of the programme has rubbed off.

I thought it died after season 3? Cuz that's all that is available on Netflix, so it must be true...

Someone gave the DVD do one of the German girls at work and I have been very good this week and not slapped her upside the head, but I swear if she says "I want that one" once more I am going to take her into the ladies and flush her.
