To be fair, it's quite obvious beer is a Light beverage - after all, it's got a white head, not a black head.

What's Guinness' alignment

Disgusting. It aligns with those dreadful Shadowspawn over at Shayol Ghul.

Ah, Led, you're starting to learn it already. Disgusting, dreadful, that's the kind of words you should use when talking about shadowspawn.

Good boy.

I don't know. I always imagined it as a reflecting kind of black, a bit like obsidian indeed, though of a different structure. Black in a way I like, at least, just like I like the black from metal bands (ironically, though, I don't like black metal).

well it's the black of the black side of the AS symbol and the WT is the white but a lot of the symbolism is from Tolkien as well. it's not definitively evil but it's dark.

Death is the one that I like best though, but even then I prefer it coupled with folk metal or maybe as melodic death metal.

Dark is Not Evil.

That's a trope.

you're agreeing with me. and it's more of an idiomatic thing if I understand tropes but maybe I don't.

There's not really a lot of understanding to be done with tropes. They simply are. There's also a trope "Dark is Evil".

"Dark is not Evil" is used for, for example, the Black Tower; they assosiate with black, but they're not evil (except some).

"Dark is Evil" on the other hand, is used for Myrddraal; they have black cloaks, and they're evil.

Yes, everything is a trope. Always.

You should bug TMD about that. Right now he's mainly working on getting an off-site points page working again, I believe.
