I didn't even know that they were going to make a video game out of it. That would have been awesome. It looks like they gave it their best shot, but the Wheel weaves as the Wheel wills, even in the Cosmere.

Considering Obsidian finished Pillars of Eternity, and/or working on PoE2, it's possible that they could just sell off their engine for a reskin that's all to common in video games.
