No, I am only on the Great hunt... a LONG way to go but I am so looking forward to it. 

I think the ending of that book is among the best in the entire series. The last 100 pages or so have flown by for me each time I've read it, but I always felt like it started slowly. I don't like hanging out in Fal Dara at the beginning for so long. *shrug* No book is perfect, especially in this series.

Spoilers abound here, though. You are pretty safe on the Structured Wheel of Time forum as long as you stick to threads about books you've already finished, but everywhere else, you are bound to find some spoilers. Well, maybe not so much in Debates and Discussions or Mafia games, but no promises there, either. 

Yea, I've found some spoilers. Apparently Egwene becomes the Amyrlin seat. 

I'm one of the few who really like Egwene. Most readers turn on her as she becomes more and more Aes Sedai in her heart, but I love her story arc. I'm sorry that part of it was spoiled for you, but you can sort of see it coming from not much further along than where you are now. All of the kids from Emond's Field are destined for great things; that isn't really a secret, even in the first book. What other great thing could have been in store for the girl who gave her heart to the White Tower? She almost had to be Amyrlin someday. Enjoy the books.

so, I want to ask you all, who is your favorite character? my favorite is Loial. 

Egwene and Mat are my favorites. Mat was my favorite for most of the series, but Egwene overtook him in the later books, partly because I didn't like how Brandon Sanderson wrote him, while I thought he did a decent job with Egwene.

I'll say Lan. I like his dedication and loyalty.

I love all of them too. honestly its so hard to choose a favorite but as of now, I really like reading about Loial. I think he fits my personality  best. 

Loial's cool. He's very gentle, polite and respectful, not too hasty, and he likes to read.
