Sorry if its been done b4....but it just hit me that I've only read about the guys loading up the pipes w/tabac.

 

Any references to women smoking?

I think it might be a cultural thing, if I recall correctly historically women didn't generally smoke pipes, and seeing as the culture in WoT is loosely based around historical cultures...

You do realise that when they speak of tabac that its not tabbacco as we know it? The smell of modern cigarretes and cigarette smoke is created mostly but the chemicals we put in them. Tabac pipe smoke would be sweet, and strong. The closest comparison would be somewhere between that herbal smell of people who roll their own cigarettes, and marijuana.

 

As for women smoking... culturally like drink ale, smoking a pipe was a male practise. Women would drink spiced wine and take milk of the poppy (an opium derivative). But likely there were women that both drank ale and smoked pipes.

Nah, they just put it in magic Tabac brownies, LOL.
