Male Aiel channelers -- what now

Featured Replies

So prior to the events of WoT, male Aiel channelers went north to fight the Dark One and became the evil cannibals we saw in aMoL.  Now that the Dark One is sealed away, what happens to them?  Do they go to the Black Tower?  Do they form an equivalent Wisemen's society?

Maybe they could form a society of their own? Or form a rank within existing societies, specialising in channeling to accomplish that society's goal? Like Red Shields channelers could become like red sisters, specialising in taking down enemy or criminal channelers, Stone Dog channelers could specialise in making barriers and walls to facilitate escapes.

The men for a time would need to go to the BT.   Aiel women don't risk death because Aiel have skilled channelers that can find and guide the women who have the ability to channel.  The Aiel men have no skilled channelers yet so they will still face the risk of dying after they first touch the source.  The BT is the only group who can at least train the first group of men.  I could see an agreement like the one Egwene wanted made with all women who could channel, they might not be part of the WT but they will have some association with the WT.
