Hello, everyone! I came across this group looking for Role-Play forums. This was the first link that actually worked at school as well as the one that kept my attention.

 

After looking around and seeing a few rps that are currently going on, I became very interested.

 

I am the leader of a group named Aeon Kingdom. We're small but looking to get big. We're not just rp, we also have categories for video games and many other things. We even have a sub-group made for Star Wars nerds.

 

I'm here for many reasons, one is I love rp, the other is I'm looking for members and also even looking to see if Dragonmount would be interested in a sort of alliance. But that's something I'd have to speak to the admin about.

I am so happy to be the first to greet you to DM because other greeters fear my greeting skills and put me down before I even get here.

 

Anyway, DM has a great subculture here with a niche for just about anyone. Check out the org boards as they all have themes of some sort.

 

IE:

 

Seanchan - Movies, TV, Gaming

WT - ummm.... girl power?

Hand of the Red Band - Music and Travel (they love Brittany Spears there)

Illuminators - creative crafty stuff.... like... drawing and making bird houses

 

Anyway, feel free to jump in on any of the discussions. When you find a home, you might want to join the org.

Well thanks for greeting me! I greatly appreciate it. I've been rping for a little over 7-8 years. I still use my first character ever made.

 

I usually stick to MySpace rping, since I do have a completely RP MySpace profile. There ARE some good people on MySpace... Just as there are some bad people:

*Shudders at memories* But, when people send me messages like that, I'm usually a big jerk to them and tell them exactly how I feel. Exactly.

 

Anyway, I don't know if I'll be joining one of the groups yet. I'll probably be looking to make one of my own once I become a little better known in the forums or by the admins.

I'm not sure you can make your own group, actually, but I'm new too so I really have no idea.

Kait is correct. The groups that we have are set and we do not generally add on to them.... well unless you can suggest a much needed forum that we do not have.

Ohhh. I see. I feel stupid now. Are these ooc groups or do they effect your rp?

Excellent question. They are mostly OOC and have nothing to do with your RPing. I say mostly because many of the groups (Orgs) have lose ties to groups. Like the WT has Ajahs and their ranks follow the books.

I see, I see. You know, honestly I think I'm the only rper on earth that hates reading books. Worst part of that is that I'm even writing one myself.

 

Anyway, Aeon Kingdom is based off the book that I'm writing, but it's not only a rp group, but also for games and such, as I said before.

 

I'm going to try to see if I could work on something, though, because as far as I've seen, orgs such as WT and Wolfkin give off a sense of rp more than ooc.

 

Well, eitherway, while I get used to how Dragonmount works, I'll join one of the already made ones most likely. Maybe afterwards I'll see what I can do.

Don't feel stupid; you didn't have bad intentions or anything and you had no way of knowing how DM operates. Most RP MBs, I find, do prefer people to participate with what's there.

 

Take your time in getting settled here; everyone is really glad to help!

Well if you have read WoT (Wheel of Time) or not Welcome. There are places here for things other than WoT... though usually having read the books may help understand the names and what not.

*nods* ... this is true. you don't need to have read the series in most of the Orgs; not sure about the White Tower, though.

Reading the books is not required for any Org, however, it will help exlpain some of the rank structures. Not all of them though, such as the seanchan mafia one.

Check out the info thread here on the Newbie Board... it gives you more of an idea of what the various boards are about. If you want to get into RP here, you should check out this book It will give you enough background information to get started.

 

Good luck with your own site. And check out the Illuminators Org for a few writing projects. If you join them, you will also gain access to the Scribe's Chapter House where it is all about writing.
