What are your favorite things about Fall?

My favorite things about fall are colored leaves, cool weather, soft pattering rain, and warm beverages! 

Love those too but I posted one of my favorites in the OP. Caramel apples with nuts! I love warm cider too.

the slight change in the air, the buzz of the holidays coming

 

The temperatures beginning to cool off. They don't cool all the way down to a noticeable change until November, but it goes down from unbearable to pretty darn hot. 

 

I love Halloween, too. 

Less days when it is over 105 F is what I like about September. We get about 2 months of Fall when you all are enjoying winter. We get 2 weeks of Winter and then it is Spring for 2 months. Then we hit Summer and it is just HOT! 

 

Our leaves don't change color or anything pretty like that. We just cool off some. 

 

I like the rain when that actually happens. 

Usually I say colors. I love the seasonal changes I had up north. Now in California, fall lets me pretend with my pumpkin coffee (which I get only at the beginning of the season because the syrup taste bad at the end of the season) and sitting in front of a fan while I pretend it isn't 100+ outside. :/

We play pretend a lot in Arizona too. I mean is it really Fall when it is 104F outside? 

 

I remember trying to do trick or treating with my granddaughter at 7 PM it was still over 100F outside, 2 years ago. She lasted 4 houses and needed to come home. 

I like the change of colors. I like the crispness that can be in the air. I like the earthy scents.
