Trivia Question # 1

Executive producer George Lucas was on hand for the first day of filming, and surprised the cast and crew by arranging for what famous character to hand Jim Henson a good luck card?

The "upside down" staircase in the Goblin King's castle was inspired by a painting.

Can you name the painting?

Extra point if you can also name the artist!

I hear "upside down staircase" and my first thought is Ascending and Descending by M.C. Escher.

(Still haven't seen the movie, so I may be way off-base.)

You get 1 point for the artist

...but the painting is not quite right. So close!

Can you think of a different one that he did that might be the right one?

Relativity by M.C. Escher

He's one of my most favorite artists.

How many times can you see Jareth's face throughout the movie in different locations on the set?

10 ? ^^

Close but not quite.

I know this going to be a guessing one.

I will give an extra point if you can name two times you see Jareth's face in the scene. Not Jareth himself! LOL

5 times?

Also:

This counts as a swear word at JordanCon.....

But, but, but, it's what Jimmy Stewart says in It's a Wonderful Life when he's happy....

Aaaagh this is weirdly tricky, I'll go with fourteen, and surely he shows up in the bubbles during the bad peach trip. And there has to be during one of the songs or his face over a clock at some point XD

#4  Where do we first meet Ambrosius, Sir Didymus’s dog? *hint...its not in the labyrinth*

Extra credit if you can tell me how he is related to Lady Mary Stewart’s tales of King Arthur!
