I survived....

 

Long week, but I made it.

My plans for the weekend involve sourdough English muffins, my first try. The sponge is sitting in the kitchen and tomorrow morning... ish... they get muffined.

I hope to feel like baking cookies this weekend. Jonesing for a batch of oatmeal blueberry (my new favorite since JordanCon).

We are renovating a room in my father in law’s house. I think I will paint the floor. Never done that before. 

@Songstress Oatmeal blueberry sounds delicious. Dried or fresh berries?

 

that actually sounds like fun @Niniel it's been a long time since I painted anything and I don't remember painting a floor but I've seen it done on TV.

Interesting glitch here. It tells me I have say, 4 notifications. I think not see two. Next day the missing notifications from yesterday are suddenly there.

To the best of my understanding, it's a crumpet made with dough instead of batter. You split them and toast them instead of having the nooks and crannies on top to be toasted as is.

...but if they are hole-less does that make them whole ?

They just have their holes on the inside. You poke them all around the outside edge with a fork and split them, revealing the nooks and crannies.

Dried blueberries - I basically found the best looking oatmeal raisin cookie recipe i could find, and replaced the raisins with dried blueberries.  The guy who brought them to JordanCon posted his recipe after i showed a photo of mine, but it was generally similar.  

 

I never considered it before he brought them to JCon, but they are the best. thing. ever.

I'm baking banana muffins right now. All this yummy food discussion has made me hungry and want to bake.

I know... I'm looking up mango cake recipes right now. I think we'll just have  berries and ice cream tonight cause it's way too hot for baking.
