We should be getting another announcement tomorrow. What news are you hoping for? More casting? 

Considering filming may have already begun, I'd expect more cast, especially if it's someone big, like the living to the end challenged Sean Bean or someone else big for a limited role, they probably don't want it leaking.

My guess is a teaser trailer.

So we have our Lan played by Daniel Henney. 

 

By the looks of him and what little I've seen him act, he'll fit right in. 

Since Lan isn't someone famous, my guess is Thom or Tam will be but whatever they do, I just hope they cast Thom right.

His face is perfect. He's fit, 6'2", nearly 40years old.... Now all I need is to hear him say, "sheepherder".

I'm kinda pissed that they didn't cast Mads Mikkelsen. 

Mad Mikkelsen has the right look, and I'll admit my brain has gone there as well, especially during that one opening scene of Rogue One.

But a Lan that would be over sixty before the time the series is done is kinda pushing it in terms of age, especially playing against Zoe Robins' Nynaeve. 

Getting attached to specific actors is an exercise in frustration, with any adaptational casting.
